I bet the shooter changes his mind. I don't think he can be trusted. He will think differently when he's in prison.

They always change their mind---that's why I questioned it.

How come Mr. King is so sure no appeal??????

That's a good question. I don't think an appeal would be successful, but they get filed anyway - Mr King sounded pretty certain that they wouldn't file one - maybe his client said not to?

And thank you Zoey, for posting those links to alternate views of the courtroom - I had no idea what the judge looked like. Much appreciated.

"It was actually only last month, on july 16, a jury of the defendant's peers, 12 member of the community who had given us their time their effort their best in a very difficult case under very diffuclt circumstances walked into this court room and informed us they had found the defendant guilty." 2 minutes ago

"It feels like rejection. It feels like you asked someone for something and that someone said no. it feels like defeat. But the truth is that nothing in the sentencing verdict, nothing, changes the guilty verdicts" few seconds ago

"I get that those victims who wanted a death sentence are disappointed in the final sentencing verdicts. I understand that. But does that mean that the defendant prevailed? I supposed that it depends on your perspective. Is the glass half full or is it half empty?" Phil Tenser

I agree - he is almost scarier now, than he was with the orange hair, he seems completely removed from the proceedings. Disturbing on every level, IMO.
That said, I admire Judge Samour more every time he speaks. He takes the time to explain all of his comments and decisions. He really seems to care about the feelings of everyone in his courtroom - what judge takes the time to do that? He seems like a very kind man, IMO

That’s record time for a death penalty case, especially of this magnitude.
If death given this case would be in this court for decades

The victims and families don’t have to worry DP will be overturned? Does that make a difference?

The felon may serve his sentence in a different state? Does that mean California....easier for his parents? I am not sure about that first question I posted. Who makes the decision where he serves his sentence? This Judge or who?

Any Colorado lawyers on here that can answer this?

Wonder why he can go to any prison in any state? I don't understand this.
