Tunisian psychiatrist Chemceddine Hamouda told L'Express that Nice attacker Mohamed Bouhlel had visited him in 2004 when Bouhlel was 19 years old.

Dr Hamouda told the French magazine that Mr Bouhlel had come to talk about his problems at school and in family life, and that he was accompanied by his father.

The father "did not understand why his son, who had until that point been bright, had become violent and could no longer engage at school" said Dr Hamouda.

His diagnosis was that Mr Bouhlel was suffering from "the beginnings of psychosis." He told L'Express that he had prescribed the boy a treatment but that he never saw him again.

Dr Hamouda concluded that Mr Bouhlel had psychological problems but thought his motivation for the attack must also be down to his recent radicalisation.

That is a good point. Then again, where did he get that kind of money? French police indicate that he was a short haul trucker (and not an owner operator at that). Furthermore, he could well have been sporadically employed.

There have been other people arrested in connection to the attack, ML was part of a group of some sort. Maybe the local group offered the blood money, or ML embezzled the jihad funds from his local group and sent them to his family?

Who knows. He was a criminal. And it's also possible his brother is correct, that the money represented all his savings from the time he was in France. He obviously didn't intend on surviving. Interesting that he chose not to give the money to his own children, if not his ex-wife.

In these instances, the writings before his killing rampage of Major Hussan...the conversations with police during the seige by the Orlando mass killer...the FB postings of the San Bernadino terrorist...the shouting of "Allah Ackbar" as the killings were occurring in Nice...point clearly to a commonality of ideology. They tie in with the heinous purposes of the 9-11 hijackers...those who blew up the London subways...the Charlie Hebdo massacres...the previous attacks in Paris.

IMO "becoming radicalized" is being used so loosely as to be meaningless as a descriptor of the who and why of deranged individuals committing this kind of atrocity.

This SOB first and primarily was unbalanced and violent. Religion of any kind was obviously unimportant to him up until the end, if it was even then.

Even if the French government hadn't made public their findings about torture and evisceration at the Bataclan prior to the attacks in Nice, the post-Bastille Day attack rumor operated on the assumption such a coverup was even possible. By all accounts, 89 people died at the Bataclan on 13 November 2015, while another 200 were wounded but survived, and many more escaped unscathed. Contemporaneous reports estimated that 1,000 people were in attendance at the Bataclan on 13 November 2015 with 700 of them were physically unharmed. Had the French government opted to cover up acts of torture and emasculation at the venue, there was nothing stopping the vast majority of surviving witnesses from sharing their stories. None did.

I believe this mass murderer did these horrific crimes because of Islamic fanaticism. These people are dead and others horrifically injured because he wanted to kill as many as he could in the name of Allah Akbar. However; I read an article this morning where the FBI said they found no evidence whatsoever OM was gay. In fact after a thorough investigation they found no evidence of any sites he visited, he had no communications, texts, calls, no *advertiser censored* photos of men and had no contact with any other gay men wanting sex, nor did they find one piece of evidence that he was even gay. In fact they stated he had been married twice and seemed to fixate on women even if they didn't want his advances. Oh and he didn't have HIV either. It shows what someone will do to get their 15 minutes of fame in the media when pretending they had a relationship with an Islamic terrorist. I guess they forgot that the FBI would thoroughly investigate the FACTS instead of mere allegations. The autopsy did say he was taking enormous amounts of steroids when he was killed. All a lone wolf Islamic extremist has to do is get behind the wheel of one and when they come upon another semi fully loaded down with chemicals is crash right into the back of them going a tremendous speed when they hit the unsuspecting truck driver ahead of them. All of the chemical containers which are under tremendous PSI pressure each would go off like huge bombs and cause major loss of life.

Imo, anyone who deliberately kills innocents, including children, has no legitimate claim to be doing so in the name of any God.
