Bumping up!! Just going thru some oldies - Not finding ANY articles after the Jan. 23rd hearing.

Anyone local - maybe @Clearsky - find anything? The Fulton County court site has been down - so that is no help to me. It warns of hackers getting your info....

TIA if anyone can find something!

Another bump for Treasure....

Still getting old articles from 6 months ago - no updates...

Anyone??

NOTHING NEW, just keeping little Treasure's thread bumped

"Since the defendant has been in custody, he has attempted to contact the biological mother 46 times," Deputy District Attorney McAuley said. "After the 4-year-old child was deceased but before he was arrested on the charges that he is before the court today, he also attempted to take out a warrant on the biological mother."
[snip]
McWeay is accused of traveling to Maryland in early July and snatching the children back, stealing their mother’s car in the process.

He allegedly returned the children to the same lower-level unit of a duplex on Renfrew Court, near Adamsville, that DFCS had just removed them from 11 days earlier. DFCS called the unit "deplorable," noting the children "appeared extremely hungry." There was no air on, the children were soiled, and one of the boys "could barely talk and sounded raspy as if he was dehydrated," a DFCS narrative says.
Bond denied for father who allegedly wouldn't open door for DFCS while daughter starved

After one request for a welfare check, police didn’t go to the duplex at all, according to court testimony from a homicide detective. The second time, records show, an officer wasn’t dispatched until an hour and a half after a 911 call. The final time – less than a month before Treasure’s death – it took police almost five hours to arrive at the house.

what does that mean that the defendant 'attempted to take out a warrant'
the only warrant I know of is when the police are investigating a crime

Yeah, I know. It was the only kind of update/different info I could find.
I think by warrant they mean a protective/restraining order, or sometimes people say a "warrant" is taken out for a person's arrest, as in the "father" could've tried some BS on the mom, like saying she perpetrated the abuse or hurt the children in some way...this would be reported to police and a "warrant for her arrest" might be issued.

Still can not access Fulton County court site...

Anyone find any updates for this case? TIA!

"A father charged with starving his daughter to death suffered stab wounds inside the Fulton County jail, after allegedly trying to rob another inmate who fought back, according to sheriff’s office records.

Rodney McWeay, 32, already faced 16 felony charges and four misdemeanors in the killing of 4-year-old Treasure McWeay and alleged abuse of her brothers and other family members, including murder, cruelty to children, kidnapping, aggravated assault and family violence."

I didn't see any court dates listed in the article, fyi.

Thank you - have updated my notes on this charge.

Still trying to find a Fulton County court site that is not blocked... having no luck....
I even tried looking up the Judge (Kevin Farmer) calendar - but they do not seem to have one.

I am pretty sure he MUST have had a hearing since his last one on 1/23/24.

Bumping (again) for Treasure -

Only coming up with the latest article o 8/13/24 that was posted above. Anyone come up with something "new".... TIA! :)

In Virginia, a person can go to a magistrate and swear a warrant out against another person. The magistrate issues it based on whatever they’re told. It’s the dumbest thing ever and I’ve dealt with it on more than one occasion. Pretty much anyone can get you arrested for anything and you’re treated like a criminal until your court date. IME

I can not believe this guy has not had a hearing since January, 2024....

Again the last article coming up for me is the 8/13/24 one with him being stabbed.

Anyone in the U.S. getting the same?? TIA! :)

I would like to see Justice for Treasure!!

Okay - I just found this Aug. 16, 2024 article... ??

Aug. 16, 2024

A Georgia man who was serving time for starving his 4-year-old daughter to death was stabbed with his own makeshift weapon after attacking another inmate.

32-year-old Rodney McWeay is now facing additional charges after the incident, in which he attacked a fellow inmate while trying to steal his belongings.

As you can see - above - it says "who was serving time" - does that mean he either plead guilty or had his trial ?? Also
@vls12345 - I looked at the Fulton County jail site & he is no longer coming up on it. And of course - can still not access the court site.

To me, looking at the Fulton County Sheriff's Inmate Search, it looks like McWeay is still in jail to me (with additional charges due to the August happenings in jail). It doesn't have a release date listed.

From:

Fulton is not a part of the PeachCourt system so I can't find related documents there. There's an eFile GA site (requires registration, free or paid) so I registered & could find this info:

However, in order to further see info, I have to provide a lot more info which I am not interested in doing. So, if someone else has access, maybe do a search on these case numbers to find more info on status?

Otherwise, I'm not finding anything, get messages about unsafe webpages, or have to pay for further access. So, idk. Maybe someone more skilled or with access to more of these systems can help more?

Thank you @vls12345 for the extended searches you did. Unfortunately, it won't let me access the link for eFile that you gave.... I guess I just wait for a MSM article on this one. :(

Just going thru some oldies - I guess I shall have to put this on the "shelf" - as nothing current is appearing for me.... :(
