what does that mean that the defendant 'attempted to take out a warrant'
the only warrant I know of is when the police are investigating a crime
I think by warrant they mean a protective/restraining order, or sometimes people say a "warrant" is taken out for a person's arrest, as in the "father" could've tried some BS on the mom, like saying she perpetrated the abuse or hurt the children in some way...this would be reported to police and a "warrant for her arrest" might be issued.Yeah, I know. It was the only kind of update/different info I could find.

Rodney McWeay, 32, already faced 16 felony charges and four misdemeanors in the killing of 4-year-old Treasure McWeay and alleged abuse of her brothers and other family members, including murder, cruelty to children, kidnapping, aggravated assault and family violence."
I didn't see any court dates listed in the article, fyi.
