I can only imagine that her other child was younger or a boy, for some reason not what they wanted, and she held tight to that child but was desperately trying to keep hold of Ayvani. And to shoot the poor dog, who she also tried to hide, showing they feel that the dog is also an important family member. I am just so sad for them today. As soon as I saw this alert, came straight here. My heart is just broken for this whole family. I can't even imagine the terror they felt. Please, oh please, let them find Ayvani safely and quickly!!!

The answer may be in their prior rap sheets. Assuming they have one. It frightens me to think what it may reveal. I pray she has not been assaulted and survives this horror. Those are 2 scary looking dudes.

I wonder if these people knew her brother in some peripheral kind of way. It just seems really, really odd to kidnap a teen during an attempted robbery, unless it was for retaliation or an attraction-related reason.

I cannot recall the names of the victims of the DG murders, but they are kind of similar. One female worker was kidnapped at gunpoint (eventually murdered too) from the store and the male worker was shot and killed inside the store. Turned out that the murderer/kidnapper knew the female worker and had a crush on her. He had worked with her briefly at the DG in the past, but they weren't really friends or anything like that.

The mother heard some commotion, called 911 and tried to hide her two children – Ayvani and a brother believed to be about 15 years old. Police say that’s when the mother came face to face with the suspects, who demanded money and jewelry from her.

When she told the suspects that she didn't any, police say the suspects shot and killed the family’s dog. They then took Ayvani and fled the scene in a gray Dodge or Chevrolet, police said.

This is not as uncommon as one might think. Many random robberies also involve sexual assault. In this case IMO, instead of assaulting her in the home they chose to take her with them.

This is not a good scenerio. Please find her alive! :please:
 
Home invasion should be legal grounds to shoot to kill, hands down, armed or not. I am anti gun personally but I would willing shoot to kill anyone who invades the sanctity of my home uninvited. Its the only deterent for sickos like this.

Kelly is the artist's name. It appears on the other picture as well. It's darker so harder to see.
 
Can't locate a video link of the 12 Noon Atlanta TV2 News yet, but will post when available.
They reported that the FBI & GBI CARD Teams are involved in the investigation, along with the Clayton Co. GA, Sheriff's Dept...
 
I pray that she will be found (and OK) very soon. All the right things are happening: Full law enforcement response, broad media coverage, a face book page, quick composite pics, and National coverage (I saw on Fox News), and especially WS is on it. : )

OMG This is horrible. I certainly hope she is found soon. I just don't have words to describe how horrifying it must have been for the mother trying to hide her two children. I'm sure her brother must be suffering too.

IF the suspects that were apprehended just now are the two from the home invasion we will know soon.
Emerson, Bartow, Cobb, Acworth, GA State Patrol all involved in locating and stopping the car. It was stopped at the south bound on ramp exit277 off of 1-75 (I think the exit number is correct)
It's my exit I SHOULD know the correct # but I don't :eek:
