I honestly don't think anything was that unusual compared to what we've seen in the media, dating back to the first interview. Reality is, nobody really knows what their marriage was like prior to her disappearance. For all we know, they could've had an open marriage and assumed more of the roommate roles to keep the children together with both parents. Just speculating, since we don't know goes on behind closed doors. I've also been following the Tosha Herron disappearance from North Georgia. It's not my place to defend either SM or TH's estranged husband (living separately), but I just don't get the feeling that either are responsible. Personally, I would hope my husband would be more diplomatic and put my children first before saying or writing anything that could cause more damage. But, IMO, we may just be seeing the reality of what their relationships entailed and their actions may be very normal from their perspectives.

Well, it could be just me, but I see nothing shady about this statement. It means the same as "I don't want my little girls to grow up without their mommy." Not sure what you're hearing that I'm not hearing?
That he doesn't talk enough about how much he wants her to be found alive and well? I don't know, to me, that's not suspicious, it's more something that a real father would say. Who is with his obviously distraught children every day and doesn't want to see them suffer without their mother anymore. For whom that is more important than how much he misses his wife.
I am not trying to make him out to be a saint or anything (even though I don't think he's involved in her disappearance, and I could absolutely be wrong,) I am just pretty sure that my stepdad's main concern would have been me if my mother had disappeared - given how close we were, - and I can absolutely see him say the exact same things.
Nothing but MOO.

The body was found on Coppermine Rd. in Haralson, but IDR seeing a specific location and it is a long road, could be a Temple, Buchanan or other address. I think the media got the original report wrong when they referenced his arrest on Hays Mill Rd., Cartersville. IMO, they likely meant Hays Mill Rd. in Carrollton (in Carroll County). This would make the distance less than 30 miles (give or take) from the body to the arrest location. Coincidentally, Coppermine Rd. could be a route to Carrollton.

Thanks soanyway! I didn't see the Hays Mill Rd mention because I was looking for a Carroll County location. I think you may be onto something that it was in Carrollton. I hope we find out soon who that was they found so her family has closure.

I really think they got it mixed up with RH being from Cartersville. As a POI, IMO he could've just as easily been in fear of his own life if he really does have information regarding HM's disappearance. If these missing persons cases have shown me anything in the last few weeks, it's just how frightening situations become when drugs are involved (just speculating). But all humanity, compassion, and respect for life is void when drugs take over one's action, IMO. There have also been several women missing from Alabama, which borders only a 1/2 hour away. Prayers for the woman's family to have peace and some sense of closure with this finding.

Heather stopped responding to hubby's texts on Sunday when he asked her whereabouts.

So do we think that the perp was texting hubby?

And have LE check the pings in that area from others.

Also, Wouldn't her sleeping quarters be planned and reserved before the trip?

I would think so, if there was a planned trip.
Also, I have been wondering if this POI was the one who supposedly had been following her, or maybe he knows who was.

I do not, but I am on a mission now! I will have to go thru some posts amd comments on FB. I did see the location mentioned by neighbors, but the Sheriff would not comment "officially.
There is also a Pilot Travel Center about 13 miles away. I wonder if SM ever had to fill in there or would have had a reason to go there for meetings etc.
It is only rumor at this point, because I don't have a link, but a woman was found on almost the same place about a year ago and allegedly, another woman was found around mid October in the same general area, but has yet to be identified.
NONE of this has been in MSM. I will work on finding some official links.

There was a woman found behind an abandoned house on Coppermine Rd. in August of 2015, Natoshia Smith. They arrested and charged the couple in April of this year. But I haven't heard anything relating to this area recently.

Odd.
There is nothing planned for Heather McDonald tonight that I can find
.
The post from the HYSH FB page about Channel 2 news airing her story has also been deleted from her page.
Hmmm...

I think it's odd that the articles about the POI arrest are not posted on the HYSH page yet.
Usually they have been posting all the articles about the search and that arrest is a huge development, IMO: https://www.facebook.com/haveyouseenheather/

Other links about it were posted but not this exact one, I don't think. Thanks!
Some quotes:
The Cartersville Police Department, which is leading the investigation into Heather's disappearance, would not confirm that Harden was being held in connection with the case.

Harden was reportedly on a list of people Heather's husband, Stefan, thought police should talk to regarding the case, according to 11Alive.

The family has reportedly know Harden for several years.

"He was a friend of Heather's mother Lisa, went to church with them in 2011," Stefan told the station. But he added that he did not believe Harden had anything to do with Heather's disappearance.

"That's hard for me to believe he would do something," Stefan told 11Alive. "No, I don't know - it's just not him that I would know, that's not the person I knew."

GBI made positive ID of Heather McDonald. Just aired on channel 2 WSB Atlanta.
I'm numb.
