Bartow has a very poor history in Law Enoforcement. Trust me when I say somebody inside one of the departments knows a lot more than they are putting out there.

Looking at many topix posts from recent years paints a very nasty and corrupt picture. Is anyone else suspecting some sort of law enforcement involvement? Can't help the feeling that some dirty cop is involved like the Grinstead case where many dirty cops were involved.

Think she was about to be a whistle blower?

My imagination and speculation continues to run wild. But only because I see so much deception from the closest one's to her. That JP character really makes me think...

Surely they have already looked at the phones and computers in the home, right? I'm hoping that happened and we just were not told about it. If LE has not already looked at the computers and phones from her family home then they have done a very poor job in trying to locate her, IMO. If we take what SM has said about HM at face value--that she was acting erratic, going out late at night, had gotten into drugs, thought she was being followed, etc. then LE should have already looked at the phones and computers at the VERY LEAST to try to find out who she was contacting and hanging out with when acting erratically and going out late at night. If my loved one was missing I would offer LE my phones and computers to look at. I would BEG them to try to find anything she might have communicated with someone else. I really think there is a lot about this case we have not been told and I hope that they looked at the computers the same day her car was found is one of those things. :moo:

I doubt SM would be publicly talking about going through old hard drives for photos if he hadn't already given everything to LE for examination. I also think that HER cousin, JP (who is a pastor), would not support SM as much as he has done, if SM had not already volunteered and passed a lie detector test. Just because these things haven't been publicly disclosed, doesn't mean they haven't happened. JMO

As far as social media photos, electronic forensics specialists can tell exact location and date of photos. You have to be pretty tech savvy to disable this feature.

I hope Heather is okay. 💔

I don't know why this case bothers me so much. I pray Heather is found safe!

It bothers you the same as it bothers us all. It could have been avoided by the community after the first time they made a major drug and theft ring sting at that very same hotel. The police are sitting on their thumbs in Bartow County. Citizens are dying or going missing weekly there. Sad...very sad...

I was looking at all the pages and pages of missing persons cases today. I'm amazed with all the technology and video everywhere that people just disappear with no clue! All these people that could be me or you or someone we know. It's mind boggling!

I live in the neighboring county and just realized there are 3 women missing from , around the same area, all around the same date.

I am familiar with Tosha Herron, missing since October 7th from Gwinnett Co. Who else is still missing?

My hubby doesn't see the connection. It just makes me a little nervous. No more late grocery store runs for a while...for me anyway.

Oh Heather, you need to be found. :tantrum:

Agreed...so very lost with this one. Look at the Husband posting about a recovery center.

What is the true significance of that post I wonder? ...

Sadly when the FBI posted a $10,000 reward the word recovery was used in locating Heather.

It's a frightening picture.

A car discovered with its doors open and a woman's belongings thrown around inside, the key found nearby on the ground. The woman later identified as the driver of the car, Heather McDonald can't be found. Calls to her missing cell phone go right to voicemail.

So, a couple things here that I don't recall seeing before. According to the article, the police arrived at SM's door to let him know the Jeep was found abandoned. For some reason, I was thinking that they had called him to report it?? Also, the last conversation SM had with HM on the 18th seems different than I recall. I thought he previously said that the conversation was pretty normal, that she had asked how the girls slept the night before but that was about it. Why would she just not respond when asked what her plans were for the day? If she was only going for the weekend and it's now Sunday, wouldn't they discuss what time she was coming home? Also appears the conversation was via text initiated by SM. Can't help but wonder when the last time was someone actually heard her voice. Now 6 weeks and even more questions than answers.
