Hi all, glad WS is back.

Someone posted a theory at Huff's site that I like as far as how the guy was able to disable Meridith; perhaps he pretended to be hurt or somehow indicated that his dog needed help, then took her by surprise. I can see her trying to help. I think Seriously Searching proposed this and I think it sounds very reasonable.

I bumped the Patrice Endres case up i think in the Missing section, since a witness there had reported seeing a white van and then she had a false information report filed against her?
Last i read on that thread was that they did not believe SK Jones was responsible for her murder, as work records indicated he was working at the time.

Hi reporter:). Sadly, there may have been a number of reasons why it would have been easy to catch someone off guard and then disable them under those circumstances. When two people, each with a dog, meet up on a nature path or hiking trail they seem to have an instant trust for each other. They relate to one another, however unsafe that might be in rare cases. Also, people out hiking who come upon other hikers sometimes have an inexplicable trust in one another in much the same way.

I think SS may have a handle on how dear Meredith may have been caught off guard and disabled. I will say that I will be very careful not be caught off guard and simply trust all whom I meet while out training my dogs again.

They are looking at him for Patrice Endres? Sp? Hairdresser, not sure you all talked about this, haven't been here, just typing while news is on.

I'm confused. Was the plate changed since the initial plate was reported, to an NC plate? If so, was the plate change a legal change? Or was the NC plate stolen?

I hope and pray that her body will be found.

LE is looking at TWO cases in NC? Are the Bryant's considered two? Or is there another one we don't know about yet. It's really freaking me out that Patrice's salon was next to or across the street from the Qwik Stop that Emerson's belongings were found.

And were the NC plates stolen? If so, when? If stolen in the past couple of days then that's another area to search for Emerson...unfortunately.

Were the salon where Patrice may have been abducted from and the Qwik stop where Meredith's belongings were found that close to each other? I didn't realise they may have been so close together. Does anyone have a map of an area that would show both places along with the distances between the two places?

If the areas are indeed that close together, then that adds credence to the possibility that both were taken by one perp. This would be in addition to other similarities, wallets taken, both were attractive women that were likely abducted, etc..

There was some speculation about a cabin and GMH. Anyone have any information on this?

I did a search on his name only thing for an address was Atlanta , Georgia. I thought it was sort strange on most searches I do it comes back with relation and there wasnt any body to show up on his..

I keep coming across the cabin reference as well. A poster at Huffs just mentioned the same info. So I asked for a link and source. I would love to confirm that info.

It is the theory which makes the most sense to me. But why HER? Was she the only hiker? The only one with a dog?
The other hikers in NC were elderly, easy prey. I feel sorry for them, of course, but it seems to me that Meredith would not be an easy kill like the Bryant's probably were due to their ages ( One in upper 70's, other mid 80's).

Now, my mind goes to Jenna Nielson, also in NC and believed to have been murdered at random and some have speculated by a transient..She was almost 9 months pregnant.. 5' 2''.. She would have been considered to be an easy target, slower moving due to her pregnancy and also in a deserted area in the middle of the night.
3 known methods of attack were perpetrated on Jenna, suggesting that the killer was NOT exceptionally strong: manual strangulation, blow to head, and the finally fatal 3" knife wound to left side of neck.
