DNA Solves

DNA Solves
There wasn't a health care privacy law in 1985. It's possible that Allison Milles could be located by searching through hundreds of institutions' records. Ugh. Other female patients institutionalized at that time could be checked…..with thousands of hours of effort since these records won't be on any computer data base. Ugh again.

Ugh is right...In concept it works, searching institutions' records. But there is no practical way of doing it, especially since we don't even have a regional direction as to where she might have been before she ended up in Georgia.

Well I probably can't be much help as I have no idea how/where to start comparing. I have read the thread though and it saddens me. There have been numerous attempts to contact various people about this UID throughout the years and the lack of response is just horrible. I hope WS can help give her her name back.

ETA:
Here is another article about the exhumation...http://www.albanyherald.com/news/2012/sep/21/gbi-deputies-exume-body-baker-county/
Has the Coroners name who claims to have never let it go basically. We need to try and contact that person to at least get an update! (found his contact info and will send an email now) I also just contacted the BCSO and asked for an update. Hopefully I am not stepping over some boundary as I have never done this before.

QUESTION:
If DNA was extracted as they hoped to do...do they have a system they can run it through to see if it matches DNA of missing persons (if there is even a system for that)?

There is such a clear photo of the woman at the link you posted Lunar1121. Thank you!. See attached image.

I emailed the Albany Herald web editor associated with that article & invited him to join the discussion here. Hopefully, there will be a new member in this conversation- and maybe a big story for him soon.

I have no connections with the Baker County Sheriff, but I personally know 3 current Sheriffs in surrounding counties who may urge a response from BCSO. I've been reading along here & appreciate the work you are doing. If there is something I can do locally, please let me know.

.

OK guys so I made a list of who we here at WS have talked about for this Doe since this thread started. I didn't review the details each missing person as I was doing this, I just wanted a reference.

** In 2009 “believe09” and “christine2448” said they have contacts at GBI so PM them if necessary
** Jane Doe’s case disappeared from NAMUS in 2011 and has never been put back on. Numerous attempted emails have been sent to various people concerning this with typical responses coming back saying they will look into it, no updates and still not on NAMUS

So has anybody submitted any of these? I especially think Benita should be submitted.

In the photo Benita appears to have fair eye brows. Having a baby would account for the stretch marks .
Also post natal depression can effect the mind. She is a good match comparing both photos.

Is there somewhere that we can scroll through females missing during a certain time period and areas? Like to look at their pictures? A link would be nice, I SUCK at computering.

True, the photos do kinda match but red flags go off that she was going through a divorce and that she was excited about bringing her baby home. I don't think she went missing voluntarily and not for years. JMO

Ok, so I found this case
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/h/huston_tammy.html

You really have to look to see it. It makes sense that she would disappear after her boyfriend turned up dead. She may have accidentally killed him and ended up not being able to go home. In that time, having few resources, she could have lost significant weight (40-50lbs) and her being bigger could attribute to the stretch marks. Any thoughts?

Wow, what an interesting case. The fact that the boyfriend who abducted her was found dead and she's still missing...? Hmmmm....

So is anybody going to step up and submit some of the potential matches?

Do transient people get arrested much or do they stay pretty low? I'm wondering if they ran her fingerprints through AFIS?

Vital Statistics

Estimated age: 25-30 years old
Approximate Height and Weight: 5'1"-5'4"; 110-120 lbs.

What did she look like?

  • Slightly built with blond hair (1,4,5,7)
  • Likely a drifter (2,6)
  • Out of state (6)
  • "a hobo type, possibly a drifter" (6)
  • No ID (4)
  • Early 20's; late 20's, early 30's; 20-25; 25-30; (4,5,7)
  • 5'6 and 115lbs (7)
  • Faded blue jeans, gray t-shirt, white tennis shoes, bra-less (5,7)

Stupid me, I didn't even look at her characteristics. I too was shocked at the face.

I'm not sure if we actually know her height. The estimates given are such extremes already. From what we know she could be between 5'1 and 5'6.

wow I can imagine your reaction when you clicked on that page.

I superimposed the photo taken of the young woman with the oxygen tube over the image shown on the GBI website to see how they'd match up. See attached images.
