They have exhumed her body! They say a family member has come forward looking for a match. I don't know if it was Billie Jean's family but they said it was out of state. How exciting!! Thanks to everyone who helped search for a match. I'm planning on holding a candlelight vigil in the next couple of weeks in Newton. I'm so excited. They said it would be weeks before they knew for certain.

Great news!! Keep us posted. She deserves to have her name back and some family needs closure!

I just found an article for this Jane Doe http://www.walb.com/story/19609489/dna-could-identify-baker-jane-doe-body

Law enforcement officials reported shortly after the death that this "Jane Doe" may have fallen off the back of a truck.

There was no indication she had been raped or attacked in anyway. It's the only unidentified body on the books in Baker County.

We're told the relatives seeking those answers are from out of state.

It will be several weeks before the DNA testing is complete.

Bumping this case up.. back in September an article says it would take several weeks for DNA testing to be complete.. I wonder if they were able to make a match yet.... S

:bump: for image revision.

I did a reconstruction for this Jane Doe based on the postmortem image in the link that greeneyedsoul posted.

They had exhumed her body back in September....here it is June. I need to make a stop into Baker County and find out the latest. The town she was found in, is such a haunting little ghost town. I remember when I went to look at her grave, I had to hurry up because a couple of questionable looking characters were scoping me out. The flood of 94 came through and washed away the small downtown area, even though Albany was rebuilt. I always feel such an ominous vibe in the very small town, even on a sunny spring day like today. No media coverage has since been done. The GBI is notorious about not sharing any information with the public. I'm still under the assumption they matched the uid with BJH. I plan on following up on this, and will share the latest details.

...

Also, I wish I could find a photo of Christine Teresa Huyer. She fits the description quite well.

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/3127/192

I looked up Christine in Ancestry. It indicates that she was married on 03-Nov-1980. There is also a newspaper article in a Bowling Green KY newspaper indicating that she had pled guilty to attempted automobile theft in 1979, and was sentenced to 12 months in county jail.

Finally, Classmates just published a copy of the 1979 West Orange High School (Winter Garden, FL) yearbook, and Christine Huyer is in it. Yay!!! (Special thanks to newbie WS Member crystallove for pointing that out to me.)

Here's a photo of Christine, side by side with my recon.

And here's a blurry version of her postmortem.

WARNING - POSTMORTEM PHOTO AT LINK

Not real close to my recon, but comparing her to the actual postmortem... Maybe.

There has been no local media release of her identification, but that doesn't mean anything.

Meanwhile, I can't get over the resemblance of Christine Huyer and JD. Maybe sometimes when we look at people we "want" to see a resemblance. Now, there is none based on any sketches I've seen done of her, but if you look at the post mortem photo, you see a strong possible match.

I'm having a hard time finding any details about Huyer's disappearance. Does anyone know a link to it?

Nothing much more than what is in her NamUs casefile

https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/3127/192

... and a newspaper article in the Park City (KY) Daily News indicating that she had been sentenced in August 1979 to 12 months in jail for attempted automobile theft.

Interestingly enough, she also has a no-photo facebook page that doesn't appear to have much activity. But there's no way to know if someone else set it up for her.

Is there a way to find out through Namus who she was if she was identified?

I sent out an inquiry to Todd Matthews last night. Still no response.

By the way, an interesting factoid about West Orange High School. On 12-Dec-1977, (when Christine Huyer was in 11th grade at that school), the Principal Raymond Screws was shot dead in his office by the Vice Principal Roosevelt Holloman Jr., after school officials accused Holloman of making sexual advances toward a female student at the school.

I doubt that Christine had any connection to the incident, but it is interesting nevertheless.

crystallove just sent me another photo of this Jane Doe that is much more clear than the one that I had. The photo shows her in the hospital with a ventilator attached, but her facial structure is much more clear.

She has a much narrower bridge of the nose, a broader tip of the nose, and a bit more brow ridge and eyes that are more sunken than I had depicted previously.

I revised the recon again. This is more representative of how she looked.

I can also see very clearly that she is not Christine Huyer. The bridge of her nose is much narrower than Christine's.

This Jane Doe's NamUs casefile is now inaccessible.

I wonder if she has been ID'd.

Could it have anything to do with this recent arrest?

http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarep...alison-marie-mims-montini.html?nclick_check=1

ETA, sorry, no. I got confused with the earlier mention of Alison Mims. But Alison disappeared five years before this UID was found, and I doubt she lived beyond the day she disappeared.
ETA: Allison (double ll) was located in 2010. Sorry guys.
