Bumpus also writes that "Once Copeland learned that he could be held indefinitely by the Court if he refused to testify (not just two years, as he initially believed), Copeland decided that he would testify. Copeland added that his testimony would be a lie."

No jury tomorrow. Jury returns Thursday. (Wednesday is federal holiday). Tomorrow the attorneys and Judge will meet to go over more of Woody’s police interrogation to argue what should be allowed in front of the jury plus Steel’s motion will be heard.

I learned of this trial because of the national attention which crossed over into a different Georgia trial many follow.

Wow.

The judge seems to have gone way off piste here.
