Think there is nothing AS likes better than a captive audience. Half of this isn't relevant but they are allowing her to go on and on.

Even the kids got bored and fell asleep. :banghead:

I now see that this marriage might not have been as wonderful as presented -- could it be that Andrea was tired of all the failed attempts of Rusty to make a living that she just wanted out and be in control of all money? Rusty sounds like he might have been a loose cannon at his jobs with other companies -- enough to be fired from more than a few jobs -- I could never figure out why she would want him murdered if he was so successful -- maybe she didn't think he was.

It reminds me of another defendant with whom I'm familiar. Do Starbucks strawberry fraps ring a bell for anyone?

Or it could be that Andrea simply wanted what she wanted, money, and did not want Rusty along with that money. I find it difficult to believe that Andrea wanted to stay in the marriage as long as Rusty was "successful" in the business world. Andrea appears to be like many other women, wanted a good lifestyle with lots of extra money and did whatever it took to achieve that goal.

MOO

Thanks NotMyself! I didn't know Rusty had seen the man carrying a gun. If AS said that in the interview I missed it when it drowned into the background noise ;)

I'm not sure if AS said that during this interview (but noisy for sure, and I had to step away for a bit), I believe they played Rusty's call in court, saying Rusty knew Hemy, and did not recognize him either.

ITA, I just didn't know until today how much Rusty was maybe not as successful as I thought he was supposed to be -- if my husband continually lost jobs (no matter how much money we had in the bank) I would be worried --

Worried is one thing, wanting out of the marriage by any means is another. I believe that yesterday it was made very clear that Andrea was using Hemy as the way out of her marriage. There is proof, IMO, that Andrea clearly no longer loved nor wanted to be married to Rusty. There is also clear proof, IMO, that Andrea pushed every button she possibly could (other than an "accidental" pregnancy) to get Hemy to commit murder for her to be free of Rusty. A person that is concerned with the finances of the household in their marriage is not going to go out and spend money on an affair unless there is another benefit to the money being spent and the affair.

MOO

I agree with you all above. I don't think Andrea was so on Rusty's side when it came to his operating on his own. I do believe that when she was dating/first married to Rusty and he graduated from Harvard Business School, she thought she'd caught herself a future rich man.

Apparently, Rusty did not fare well in the corporate world. He wanted to be out on his own. Even with investors, a portion of their "untouchable" savings would have been used. I don't think Andrea believed Rusty could carry it out.

Notice that much earlier, before the break, she spent quite a bit of time telling the detective how much she was involved, explaining a lot to Rusty.

This is not what she "bought into" when she married him.

that lady with the long brown hair chewing her gum with her mouth open and making faces needs to be told to be a bit more respectful when she's in a courtroom IMO

editing myself to say that now she and her friend in the red pants are chatting and laughing with each other

If I were the judge, I would have the deputies escort them out

I agree.

It's also clear to me that Andrea strung Hemy along to get him to kill Rusty. She had zero interest in him. His finances were in a terrible state.

why is she making a huge issue out of them forensically examining her computer when her husband has just been murdered? oh right, because she's afraid of what they'll find to implicate her

It's his first murder investigation, but certainly not his first criminal investigation. Heck, Dunwoody isn't exactly the Murder Capital of the world!

hahaha @ prosecutor - "your honour, I object to his objection"

LOL
