It is being treated as a suspicious death. Apparently the local paper used a pic of her mugshot for the article, then changed the photo.
Here is an article about her connection with the club Cashmere:

I was surprised that there is no thread for the case of Dianne McIver , who was shot in the back by husband Tex McIver in Atlanta. Stinks to high heaven. Anyone familiar with that case?

I read about that case a few weeks back. Started a new thread for it here http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...cidentally-discharged&p=12983464#post12983464
When the Dermond double murder was fresh, I did EXTENSIVE research on the case.
I believe that the killers came by boat to the Dermond's, transported Ms. Dermond's body to the dam, and returned by boat.
I do not think that the case will ever be solved due to bungling of the case from the start and failure call in GBI and/or FBI.
However, I'm going to leave this here just in case it is ever solved.
Very CRUDE map indicating how the task could have been accomplished.View attachment 105794
INteresting the GBI was called in this case but she was a prominent citizen of Eatonton...........................or maybe.............connected and felt it was time to call GBI? I recall this information but dont remember why it was brought up in the Dermonds thread....Hello all. It's been a long time...I have not posted on WS very much, or even had a chance to read here much, in a number of months.
Middle Georgia news in the last day or two has had items (two linked below) about the death of a woman in Eatonton that is being investigated by police and GBI -- not clear yet if foul play is suspected, and I am not going to bring her name here (and may she rest in peace) under these circumstances, but it sounded familiar to me and somehow was ringing a bell about something with this (the Dermonds) case. I logged on to do a little searching and found that there was a little discussion in Thread #9 about a club called Cashmere. I believe the woman recently found deceased was connected to this club. Ringing bells for anyone else?
Of course, this may not tie in AT ALL with the Dermonds' case -- but it did snag my attention.

I noticed the Eatonville PD did not request or take Sills help but opted for the GBI instead.INteresting the GBI was called in this case but she was a prominent citizen of Eatonton...........................or maybe.............connected and felt it was time to call GBI? has anyone looked into the connection and the timing of why the security cameras weren't working?

I think it's been pondered, certainly, but as I remember, if any real answer was found by authorities we haven't heard about it. There had been some bad weather recently...seems that may have been offered as a possibility, but nothing really firm, as I recall.
It's certainly an interesting area for inquiry.
???Somebody took credit for that storm, if I recall correctly.
