If I murdered two people, I would neither broadcast it nor take credit for it.
That's the way I think too....

I'm confused. LE arrested two guys for the murder of Carina Saunders but then later released them. Next, there was a shake-up within LE... costing at least one officer his job. Then, one of the suspects filed suit against the police department and the detective. I didn't follow this case on WS... maybe there's more to the story???

Tocco, believed to be longest-serving U.S. mob boss, dies in Detroit
This is one of the points that I have a hard time overcoming. This WTC attack effected the whole country and the world. This was the center of our economy and stopped our financial world for quite a period of time. The deaths of the Dermond while a horrible tragedy who is it hurting except their family and friends? Not an earth shattering event like the World Trade Center was. But, you are more familiar with the NC than I. I had never heard of them until this thread. I just wish this could be solved faster. jmo
I had forgotten about the strange phone calls the kids had received since the parents death - very strange indeed! Thanks for the reminder! Ugh! Some people get their thrills in a very sick way. Maybe whomever did this is not through with the family yet and just wanted the family to know they know where they are. Wonder what the phone creep said. . . .
Let's hope so 1&2&3! I don't think if this is the work of the NC they would be ones to broadcast it to the world. Would defeat their purpose - just my opinion.
I have the book (Ungodly...) and plan to read it soon since I know very little about the history of the NC. Since "Malachi" York is in prison, who has taken his place as leader among the still active members? Typically, cult members are like sheep, and need a herder to guide them. IMO, SS has left us all in the dust ...he knows much more than we give him credit for... at this point.
We live near a lake.. and near a touristy town.. restaurants always come and go.. I don't think that's very unusual. .

A Sign of the Times, or casualties from the high profile unsolved Dermond murders?
Shouldn't the headline read; 'Two restaurants closed; one expands menu'?

Fred Ward at Kinorhook Bar-B-Q started serving a country breakfast at his 207 Oak Street location July 3.
Noting that he was hoping to take advantage of the recent closing the second in a month of the Huddle House restaurant about a mile and a half away, Ward was serving eggs, sausage, salmon, biscuits and grits last week

FF - You made me look! Read the story -- says its the second time that *HH* closed in a month ... (closed in May, re-opened, closed again in June). What's your theory on its relationship to the murders? Or are you just saying it closed because people are staying away b/c of the murders? Why would corporate folks shut it down (also in the story) if that were the case?
Have to agree with others -- unrelated, sounds like to me.
BUT, you DID make me look ...

Are either of these closed restaurants the Huddle House that someone went in asking to see their surveillance video?
