Shane Clifton Collett has been convicted on six charges including malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, first degree cruelty to children and concealing the death of another.

Superior Court Judge Tommy Hankinson followed the sentencing request of District Attorney Scott Ballard, sentencing Collett to a term of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. He was sentenced to 10 years on charge six – concealing the death of another. That will be served concurrently with his life sentence.
