It is interesting how different countries handle investigations differently...

The arrested person is not named in this case...
Is this common in Germany LE cases?

I wonder if there is a public arrest link...
Like we have in the USA?

Berlin - On Thursday afternoon, in the case of the missing Rebecca, one person was arrested. According to BILD information should be the arrested for the brother in law of the girl!

He is the husband of the oldest sister Jessica. In the house of the two, the 15-year-old had spent the weekend and also spent the night before her disappearance.

So far, Rebecca's family had always placed themselves protectively in front of the husband of the oldest sister Jessica - only on Wednesday posted the second oldest sister Vivien an appeal to Instagram, no hunt for their brother in law.

The brother-in-law said he had come home from a company party at 5:45 am on the day of Rebecca's disappearance, and later that morning, at 8:30, she noticed that Rebecca was no longer in the living room where she had previously stayed.

"The interrogation and the investigations continue," the police said in the afternoon. The police meanwhile go out in the case of a crime. After BILD information he is silent.

117 clues had been received by the police until Thursday. Whether one of these led to the arrest, was initially not to find out.

Even if the student is still alive or if her body was found, the speaker did not say.

Rebecca spent the weekend with her eldest sister Jessica (27) and her brother-in-law on the Maurerweg in Berlin-Neukölln. According to her relatives, on Monday morning, February 18, 2019, she was supposed to have gotten up earlier than necessary, taken her school supplies and a fleece blanket out of the living room and left the house.

The 15-year-old should have been at school on Monday morning at 9.50, but never appeared there.

The above link with translation is cutting out on my iPad...

I'm just getting caught up on this. If it's within TOS, can you explain why everyone thought the BIL did it? If it's on the previous pages, LMK and I'll read all of them.

1) look at family and romantic partners first
2) look at who saw the victim last
3) downplay any "without a trace" abduction in broad daylight
4) anything stated by those that were with her last should be questioned, even if repeated by LE

Finally be very careful accepting "facts" early in a story. The added translation issues causing some issues here as well.

ETA- missing blanket or sheets, usually evidence of a sex crime- occurring in the original location of the items (home). We saw this with the SLP and VS cases recently.

Or simply put, he was the last known person to see her and "she took a blanket with her."
Plus a few other odd circumstances.
imo
