I don't know where I stand on SG. I think the presence of Michael Pak compounds it. It could go either way.

I do believe that Hackett only inserted himself because he's the drug dealer there and he gave Shannan illicit drugs. He was trying to save face when he said he ran a home for wayward girls because if it was an overdose or drug induced paranoia he'd still be charged with felonies.


If LISK was there then the FBI would have a lot of opportunities now to make deals with these guys. I'm sure they're still committing petty crimes ( solicitation, pimping). They could just follow them a few times, get a bunch of cases, and then threaten them with some serious jail time unless they speak about who was there.

I'm inclined to think Shannan was not a LISK related crime.

But the fact that LTEC thinks the same makes me wonder.

I disagree. What happened to Peaches screams serial killer to me. Otherwise her family would have been looking for her. She was living off the grid.

If she was living off the grid why would her family be looking for her? They may not even know she had a child. The LISK case sparked an incredible revelation that everyone absolutely missed: being murdered by a random person and nobody noticing your absence is incredibly common in this world.

It's only something shady if it was a non drug user, when you take drugs everything changes, there's a dateline case online about a couple who got high and got lost and their 9/11 calls were INSANE, they were hallucinating, the works, why do people ignore this?? If she was using drugs, everything changes. Why is her word more truthful than the other witnesses?? Who knows what tricks her mind was playing on her. I don't see anything shady about what happened.

That caught my attention too about burke. Leeann said he used the word where and he said that about melissa to her little sister Amanda- Sent chills through my soul. If you go back to some of the old articles about lisk, there are some who say the killer has law enforcement knowledge.

Yes I've read some reports about that. Those calls were made where they cannot be traced or traced easily. A regular joe like me wouldn't know to place calls without being found out. This killer knows the steps to take to not get tracked - call from a crowded area, keep call under 3 minutes. I would think these are details that only law enforcement would know. Unless google maybe taught them how to. However all these little coincidences just scream James Burke.

But if she was a drug user, she would have likely been able to handle her high because she would have had a tolerance -. Just like an alcoholic. She may have been forcibly drugged with something her body wasn't use to.

That is possible but still why would that lead to thoughts of murder?? I just don't understand it, it's like people hang on to one thing and that's it, no further explanation is even possible. (modsnip) who knows what triggered her off? Why does it matter? She went into a marsh by herself and died, end of story.

I get that shes an escort and noone (not even cops) cares about them. Which is sad because escorts are the prime targets for serial killers. And these disappearances need to be looked into with more effort.

But when you find her body near other murdered bodies that happen to be discovered there, you can't dismiss the other possibility that she was killed by a serial killer using this same dumping ground. Yes she could have gone into the marsh by herself in a drug-induced hallucination and died. But Hackett happen to have her number, which he used to call her mom (which at first he denied). Hackett happen to be the last person to see Shannan alive. These are little details we just can't simply ignore either.
