In answer to your Qs:
1. Some sort of convention: Absolutely. I've seen it frequently in the business demographic here.
2. NY & NJ & CT, known as the Northeast Tri-State area commonly networks for business, as these three locations are easily drivable for any appointment.
3. Currently there is one Casino on Long Island. Jake's 58, located on the service road of the Long Island Expressway. But honestly, I don't see NYC business men, and not even Long Island business men spending much time there. I wouldn't call it a real casino. EVERYTHING in it is video, even card games, roulette, and craps (where's the fun in that? LOL).
RH has a timeshare in Vegas. Was he a big gambler?

Based on a past program, it seems like it is much more focused on decoys and duck calling (the Barnegat Bay convention is home to the New Jersey Duck Calling Championship) than guns. It seems to be more of a hub for people looking to buy/sell decoys and other duck hunting related gear than a gun show.
Maybe they sell camo burlap.

In her more than 27 years of marriage to Rex Heuermann, Asa Ellerup likely did not know about the gruesome double life her husband is accused of living, Suffolk County’s top cop says.

“If you ask me, I don’t believe, that they knew about this double life that Mr. Heuermann was living,” Suffolk County police commissioner Rodney Harrison said of the suspect’s family.

But authorities are not ruling anything out yet and are continuing to collect information “to see if the family might have known exactly what Mr. Heuermann was up to,” Harrison told CNN’s Erica Hill Monday.

On Wednesday, less than a week since her husband’s arrest, Ellerup filed for divorce, her attorney Robert Macedonio told CNN.

She was shocked to hear what her husband is accused of, Harrison said.

But she unknowingly played a key role in her husband’s arrest: it was her DNA, among other evidence, that authorities say helped tie Heuermann to the crimes.

Heuermann and Ellerup were married in April 1996, the suspect said in a 2018 deposition. Since then, they lived in Heuermann’s red and green childhood home in the Long Island suburb of Massapequa Park with their daughter and Heuermann’s stepson.

Neighbors described the home as creepy and the family as distant, according to the Long Island Press, a monthly magazine serving Long Island.

“The family is very to themselves, quiet,” neighbor Frankie Musto told the publication. “We never saw anything suspicious.”

In his 2018 deposition, Heuermann said he had been married once before. That marriage, he said, lasted three years and they had no children
*what are those red tanks for? kinda behind the tree.

Very possible but in my opinion and living in the area. I don't think hes A duck hunter or at least not in the past 2 or 3 decades. No one really hunts in the area, very little and hard to get permits and any gun shots usually means cops show up because the soccer moms don't like guns. . Hunting is hard you need to be in some type of shape.
I explained my opinion in posts from yesterday.

I agree. The only thing Rex hunted were people...JMO

I don't know that that's ever been addressed. In the Bail Application, where there is a lot of info, the travel was limited to the wife and children being out of town when the GB4 were killed and one of RH's trip's to Iceland during which the phone of Melissa Barthelemy went silent, but started up the day after RH returned to the States, and there may have been a trip of his to Virginia that was pertinent. Much of the document was detailing cell phone activity of RH, a burner phone that traveled with his and connected with the phones of the victims' as well as locations for the victims' phones. Presumably, there could have been much travel that it was not necessary to detail for this document.

Of all the cases I've followed when residences are searched, I've never seen such an extensive amount of items seized.

Look a little like fire extinguishers to me

Maybe those are the "certain photos" shown to his wife
The wife was told at the same time her husband was arrested. They also handed her a warrant to search the home, so No she would not have had access to those photos. She may have been shown photos from the crime scene.

I hope her passport and her children's passports are returned to her so she can go away to Iceland until the dust settles in her life. She can return when she's ready. But I realize where ever she goes there she is and it must be horrible to be in her skin right now.

I have been archiving everything LISK since 2010.

New sub-album i've begun but I am days behind in saving the info.

JUSTICE! Arrest For Gilgo Beach L.I.S.K. Victims:

The main Case Archive, since 2010 (971 files):

Sub-section, Shannan Gilbert (567 files):

Sub-section, Manorville (68files):

Sub-section, After 10 years, Will there be Justice? (141 files):

Please check it out. I've spent years building this Case Archive.
Yer awesome! Thank you

My heart goes out to his immediate family like his wife and daughter and step son. Their lives have been turned upside down, thoroughly shook and will never be the same again. Horrible.

Compare the amounts. You may be shocked at the differences in taxes in the two locations.
I don't think it's weird he paid taxes on the empty lots, but IMO the fact that he paid $5,500 in taxes on those lots in March 2022 while still having $641 in outstanding taxes on the Massapequa Park house in the 2022 tax year (his tax assessment on that house was $6,020 in 2022, so not significantly more than the 4 lots in SC) is interesting.

Like you, I've been hoping she might have the comfort of Iceland and family now.

Apparently RH talked about bear hunting? From the article:

An architecture client of Heuermann's didn't want to speak on camera, but described him as soft spoken and good at navigating New York City permits, adding he was disheveled, sloppy, and missing teeth, but never threatening and spoke of enjoying bear hunting.
I hope his wife has a real good divorce lawyer, counselors, and strong family support for her and the kids. I can't imagine the pain, and heartache they have to deal with. My heart goes out to them.

Color me surprised. I didn't expect his unimproved lots to be taxed that high an amount.

Heuermann not watching the news while in jail is interesting to me. If all reports are true, he was extremely interested in the case and especially interested in talking to people about it. Getting their ideas but also sharing his. If he watches the news he can't respond. The narrative is out of his control. Maybe he doesn't want others to see him mad. It seems like he has some sort of self control. We know he is able to have dates with sex workers and not kill. Maybe he waits until the second or third date. He's a hunter. Since LE has some of the phone records, they'll know. IMO, theres already enough evidence to put this guy away forever but it's always nice to have more.

What in the heck am I seeing here. Looks like the belt has been altered using the clone tool in photoshop. Why.

From the search warrant executed at Craig Heuermann's property in South Carolina:

"Potential instruments used in the homicides that investigators sought included cell phones, condoms, cut distal ends of black leather belts, devices that stamp letters on leather, knives, scissors, cutting instruments, and Bounty paper towels."

Edited to add: We've been wondering about RH's travels. <modsnip>
This is where the topic of Bounty paper towels comes from. Rex must have a storage building on the property.
