Wondering if the perps preferred method of restraining the victims inadvertently causes each of their bodies to be in similar positions PM?
This thought came to me after a quick (all i could stand) varied pics of bondage in the wiki link posted upthread.

Could it even be a practical matter like forcing victims to look in an easternly direction to best be captured by recording equipment, or chillingly, a mirror to force them to watch.
complete speculation, imo.

which victims are you referring to here?

I have no idea what it could mean to have legs bound in a ball. Like, criss-cross-applesauce? What animals get their legs balled up? I presume it is not waterfowl.

I have a feeling I don't want to Google this...I'm a little squeamish.

Although no specifics in article, deer are usually bound to easily carry and transport from the woods back to truck.

I thought he could have made them kneel in the ditch and kill there. However, much as it was behind a decrepit hotel on the side of the city, I think it would be too unsafe to kill them on the spot. You are probably right in that it could have been some form of bondage that resulted in them being in the similar position. Absence of footwear and socks might indicate it too. I have read about AC victims today and noticed a couple of interesting things about them.

It would be important to know if these victims advertised similar type of services, and if yes, where. They might have caught his attention for that reason. They don’t even look similar, so I wonder if the choice was specifically based on the services rendered.

why there's been no evidence so far to indicate that he's a gambler

I doubt he is a gambler because he appears greedy, able to do math calculations and understand the net probability of winning. There are some traits in him that many gamblers would have, such as loneliness and social awkwardness (the casinos welcome permanent guests and make them feel desired), so that fits. (And after all, Paddock was greedy and grouchy, too.) But I just don’t see RH leaving a lot of money in the casino.

Sorry if this has been asked in the previous threads (was REALLY hard to keep up and I missed a load of posts )
What's everyone's thoughts on why they arrested him when they did?
I kinda think after he bought more minutes for his burner phone (per Bail Application) , they think he may have had another victim in mind :( ?

Eta - as well as pizza box dna and hair matching to wife results came back

I agree. I don't think RH is a gambler and I would even venture that he would look down on gamblers. Not a fact, but speculation. JMO

(By gamblers, I mean money gamblers. He obviously "gambled" in the risks he took as a SK.)

Afraid of grand jury indictment leak and RH fleeing. This has been reported in MSM but I am not looking up link on my phone so I will state JMO.

Very interesting article! While I think it’s too soon to tell if he is/will be as prolific in terms of victims, I think he definitely fit in with the likes of Bundy, Gacy, and many others. The more I read things that give insight into his childhood and school years, the more it seems like it was the perfect storm in creating a monster. Classmates have come out and said:
1. His father not only died when he was 12 (just on the cusp of puberty for guys back then?), but he also had an unhealthy relationship with his mother. He was thrust into the position of becoming the “man of the house” before he was even a teenager.
2. A classmate described an incident from Heuermann’s childhood before his father died, where Heuermann had got caught shoplifting and apparently he and his father had a pretty bad clash over it.
3. He was bullied and shy as a child, but then underwent a growth spurt in high school and became menacing to others and was known to have a mean streak. Usually he was a loner/recluse.
4. (This is not from classmates, rather it comes from what they pulled out of his house when they searched it) We know he had a very extensive collection of *advertiser censored*. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those Playboys were saved from when he was younger.

I also personally believe he has to have some kind of addiction and I am willing to bet he drank.

Now, I just want to state that not all of the above descriptions means that everyone who has experienced trauma or hardship in their life is or will be a serial killer. But all of those things combined, coupled with the fact that this man is a dangerous psychopath, ticks off all of the “boxes” (so to speak) for the making of a serial killer. These are all known traits that a good majority of serial killers share in common.

I’m just waiting now to hear if he ever had some sort of head injury as a child too.

I feel like he would just pitch the bodies over the bramble from his truck bed. mOO

LE keeps calling it a dump, which is what they tend to say when it appears the victims were killed elsewhere.

But I imagine the newest bodies would show some evidence of a hostile-toss dump or a carry-out-and-place dump, with the bodies all lying neatly on their backs or in some position.

The easiest thing I can think of is putting wrapped bodies on a tarp and covering it with yard debris. Then dragging out the tarp, rolling the stuff out. It also makes the truck load seem fairly normal.

I guess it's people fishing trout who where those giant rubber boot/pants things? That seems like a good choice for the bramble, but I don't think they are for duck hunters.

I think it's exactly as you say...once the phone was used to buy minutes and the dna confirmed (I believe pizza was recent) they felt they had enough forensic "proof" to seal the deal so to speak.

I believe he was under close 24hr surveillance...he was still interacting with SWs, imagine the uproar if he killed again as a prime suspect!

I still don't know if duck hunting actually had anything to do with the murders (aside from the camo burlap). But, I think you might be describing "waders", and waders are used by duck hunters.

Asa Ellerup, estranged wife of accused Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann, and her son, Christopher Sheridan, outside the family home.
Asa Ellerup and her son, Christopher Sheridan, received a grocery gift package from their neighbors
The handwritten note included in the food delivery.

I’m please that law enforcement have delivered a care package to his family with some groceries and a kind note. It is a very kind of their neighbours to do this. My thoughts and prayers are with all the victims. I also can’t begin to imagine how devastated his family must be at what has happened. It is awful that his family have the media outside their house taking photos and video of them suffering and the press like the NYP are making advertising profit online from it.

What I’m trying to understand is how long he had had this burner phone? Did he have it for all of those years in between the last known murder until he was arrested? And then he had 10 years in between the murders to when LE had him on their radar since 2022 (1.5 years?) — yet suddenly they believe he’s ready to kill again? It doesn’t seem to add up.

Yup. That's what I'd wear in the bramble.
