As someone that has experience in public relations, I must say this was a poor first interview with the new spokesperson. First interview with the media on this case --why not just say "Yes, all statements from the family will be funneled through me -- this will allow George and Cindy to get some much needed rest, refocus on the search for Caylee, they are looking forward to Caylee getting out of jail, blah, blah, blah. Instead, he states that he is privy to information (like the GPs and Casey) that supposedly LE does not have???!! Unbelievable......

I agree...he did the Anthonys a disservice in presenting himself (and representing them) the way he did. I figured he would be an intelligent-sounding smooth talker, but he seemed dumbfounded, unprepared, unable to put any sort of favorable spin on anything that Greta asked about.

It's fine with me if Casey doesn't have a good spokesperson, but I really feel awful for Cindy, George and Lee. They need someone sharper to speak for them. The neighbor who has spoken previously, Holly, has done far better for them than this fellow. This guy, I'm afraid, will only help grow bad feelings towards the family if tonight's interview was any indication of how he's gonna operate. For the family's sake (certainly not Casey's!), I hope someone else steps in to help them deal with the media.

What a mess this all is. It has really felt today that it is truly turning into a circus. Poor little Caylee. Why can't her mommy just tell where she is and allow the family to either rescue her or grieve for her. Just the ultimate in selfishness, isn't it?

Did you notice how Garrison had to "plug" his other cases, bringing up halloway and the other one. He didn't seem to have anything to offer. I can't believe the three of them. Between the padillos and garrison I was shoveling so much bull to try to find ONE FACT, that I almost gave up and turned it off. I am DISGUSTED by all of them.

I agree that it might be a good thing IF she gets out only b/c nothing is getting accompished while she is in the pokey. The only thing that is annoying is it seems like she always gets her way..spoiled brat syndrome. She appears to think she is the exception to the rule and that just makes my blood boil.

I have to disagree with you SWAG...these people have created this situation themselves. They are only living with the consequences of their crazy behavior. Don't put a guilt trip on us. We are innocent bystanders. We are concerned about a three year old defenseless child. Get real!

I agree, the rest of the BS going on is beside the point and not of our creation.

Ya think?

And it's a little cold in Greenland.

Yup -- and reading your reply with my quote reminds me I should proofread before I submit! I'm still wayyyyy new at this!! I type kinda like Garrison talks..nah, I'm not that bad!

Well for the moment I'm willing to give Padilla the benefit of the doubt. Nothing else has worked in getting Casey to spill the beans. I'm sure she has never come across anyone like Leonard Padilla, let alone have to stay with him 24/7. I don't think Caylee is still with us so maybe he can bring this to a conclusion if nothing else.

At this point, I think just about anything is worth a shot since Caylee hasn't been located. If for no other reason, the rest of this family deserves some certainty and closure so that they don't have to go the rest of their lives wondering.

I have a feeling the bounty hunter has some unconventional methods, to say the least. Although I don't like the idea of anyone attaching themselves to this case for personal gain, if he can get something outta Casey, my hat is off to him!

Tony Padilla has to put up the entire $500,000.

Why am I getting the feeling the Padillas opened their mouths and inserted foot before researching what they are getting involved in? IMO, there's alot of roadblocks to them getting Casey released. Two of which are the undisclosed holds, which are psych holds. If those holds are not met, then Casey does not get out! Padilla probably doesn't have any access to these and has no idea what he's dealing with here.

ETA: alot of what Padilla is proposing is not part of the previous bond agreement and would have to be approved by the judge. Such as the 24/7 watch and living in the Anthony's home. He can offer to bail her out, but it doesn't mean he'll be succesful.

Well I am off to bed,.. I just can't take it anymore!!!!!!!!! NOTHING about this case is about Caylee anymore!!!!!!!!!!:furious::furious::furious:

PRAYING that Caylee is found tomorrow,.... alive but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case,....... :(

Goodnight everyone,.. god bless Caylee!

I'm afraid if Caylee is dead then Casey is never going to tell anyone unless she is in jail and pleas to avoid a death penalty. It's crazy of these people to think that they will get anything out of her. She could tell LE everything and get her daughter back and just face the current charges. If she won't tell them she'll never tell her family anything real and for sure none of these bounty hunters or spokesmen. What a waste of time.

Well, can casey refuse the bail since she has to agree to have one of them watch her 24/7?

Maybe they know that she won't be released and all of this is for advertising and press..Maybe they know something we do not. Who knows huh?

Thats right...I forgt all about those holds on her release. And the way Tony Padiila talks he doesn't know much about this case he's just going on the say-so of his uncle.

ITA I think his research about this case consisted of reading a few headlines.

Well, can casey refuse the bail since she has to agree to have one of them watch her 24/7?

i would say yes she could refuse, but the only person padilla has spoke to according to him is only her lawyer and i would think she would tell her lawyer if she didnt want to agree to those terms

reading your post txvicki,... about what a waste,....

in the words of Casey Anthony, Baiz "calling you guys a HUGE WASTE" (Padilla and nephew)

Casey has an atty and 2 PI's as I've understood it. Casey can tell her lawyer anything to help get Caylee home, pass that to the PI's, and save his client all of this hades she's in atm. Baez could give Casey's family relief etc.

If there was information to bring Caylee home why the heck would Casey tell a Bounty Hunter and not her lawyer who has 2 PI's already?! How is the bounty hunter going to get information that her lawyer doesn't even want shared with Lee?

I see no reason if Casey has information that could help bring Caylee home it hasn't happened through her lawyer. Through LE...why not? After all Casey has a better chance riding around in a patrol or private police car pointing out places she thinks ZFDwas/is etc, then on a home restricted bond.

I want Caylee home, I hope somebody can find her and bring her home...I want that so very much. But my want of that---it can't kick logic (my idea of logic, anyhow) out of the way to believe this BH, who will be watching Casey in one spot can bring Caylee home any better than the chances that's there now sitting in jail.

In fact I find the chances better of finding Caylee while Casey is in jail. It's about publicity or book or whatever with that BH imo.I hope I am wrong, I would apologize and be very grateful that I was wrong.

I don't often write on these forums (usually too busy reading) and I have to say these latest events really leave me speechless. I do want to add though that I don't agree with the bounty hunter or lawyers about letting Casey out. My sister was murdered by her husband. Her body was missing for 5 days. Her husband finally broke and told them where to look after he was beat up by another inmate. He asked for some kind of separation from this other inmate in return for his information. I'm not saying they should have put Casey in with someone who would beat her up, but being in a real jail situation and not secluded very well may have scared her enough to talk. I don't think she'll have any reason to talk now. JMO

Not a good choice, for sure. Not a good PR person.:bang:
He's probably saying exactly what the family want him to say though, right?
This case is has become quite the freak show, unfortunately.

If it wasn't so dang sad I'd swear it was a skit from SNL or a Twilight Zone episode. Hopefully LE will stay insulated from all the sideshows and remain focused on finding out what happened to Caylee. What a mess.
