I'm SO curious as to what that was all about, if not posturing. Is the weight of GUILT too much for him to continue to bear...along with having to live with his wife if found not guilty?!?

and the missus can't be happy today...

NL says her closing is about 30 minutes long.

For me, I think he's being pulled in too many directions. TM is hammering him to testify, because she's terrified of what a guilty verdict will mean for her going forward. You have his attorneys begging him not to testify, but he doesn't have to go home with them; he knows they have his best interest in mind, but they don't live with his wife and don't have to deal with her meltdown. Then he has his guilty conscience, and I'm sure he wants to just blurt out the truth to make this all stop.

JMO, as usual.

I'm sure the kids are also saying, "Dad, if you're innocent get up there on the stand!"

This is why they should have stayed home.

curious if he's know that his wife's cousin was going to say what he said. Now Sid knows the case of kidnapping COULD turn into a murder trial.... that would be nice!

While Liversay is talking, I CANNOT WAIT until the Mrs. has her day(s) in court.

BBM: Exactly!

I don't think those are crocodile tears. I believe his emotions are so raw, and I keep reminding myself that once upon a time, he was likely in love with Heather.

bdickerson:
Livesay tells the jury the phone records show that Moorer was the last person to talk to Elvis, for about 10 minutes. "He was important, he was key, and his first go-to move was to story to the police," the assistant solicitor said in her closing.

Liz Cooper:
Solicitor: "he knew danny (police) was calling looking for a young woman".
Solicitor: He was the only person that talked to her last for about 10 minutes. There's no one that knows her more than this man.
Solicitor: Moorer deliberately and intentionally misleading the police.

Knowing he's about to go down for something his wife did maybe?

Taylor Herlong:
Says Moorer was showing police what he knew was only part of the story when seconds and minutes matter in investigation.

Just my personal feelings and thoughts in this moment:

I feel bad for Heather, her family, the M kids and a tiny speck for SM b/c I have never been 100% sure of his sole guilt in the murder. He 100% obstructed justice, no doubt.
NL is on fire with this closing today!!!!!!
I can't wait to hear KT's closing arguments.

IMO

This. He was originally arrested thinking he would tell what TM did. There are lots of people who believe that she did it and he is protecting her. This is why I wish she had been tried first. TM locked him up at night. Guarded his phone and knew everything going on. I think he believed in the beginning that he didn't do anything so he didn't flip on TM no way they could find him guilty.

IMO of course.

Liz Cooper:
Solicitor: that girl was someone else's child and he was lying to police about her.
Solicitor: He didn't have to talk to police but he did. Why? Because his intention as to mislead them.
Solicitor: He came to give them a false story and lead them in the wrong direction (police).
Solicitor: When he lied about using the pay phone - it was the money moment.

bdickerson:
Livesay said the "money moment" is when Moorer told police he didn't call Elvis from a pay phone, and then asked if they still made pay phones. The assistant solicitor pointed to that as proof that the defendant was trying to impede the investigation.

This! I might have to take a week off and drive down for it. I wish I was kidding but I really need to be there in person.

ETA: NL is crushing this closing! IMO
