I feel like SM is just making small talk with his parents and they aren't making any references to the trial...IMO. I don't think he should be allowed to do so though

I was kind of disappointed with NL questions to AC...I guess I feel like she was leading up to more?? But then stopped. Probably figured she didn't need to beat a dead horse. Hopefully the jury saw exactly who AC is. I cannot stand her or TM....so so so smug.

BBM: Plus, this isn't Judge Culbertson, who presided over TM's trial. NL's probably trying not to push it too far, because she knows Judge Dennis can snap on her at any minute.

Yes, she said they had a burn pile like everyday in their yard. Then when asked about neighbors burning stuff she said yes I smell a fire everyday...well yea you just said you burn one everyday...

Oh also did anyone notice AC said the first system didn't record and she said multiple times it was like a nanny cam and then later she goes on to say the cameras he bought at Sam's were their first set and they never had anything before not even a nanny cam....NL just smirked and said "okay" and moved on...

I would have called out her lie right then so I was a little disappointed NL let it go. But Idk how all this works. I want to see AC in jail for obstruction.

And then didn't she also say the first "nanny cam" system wasn't purchased by SM, and that she brought it home from work? I think she said it was part of the old system at Margaritaville. Did I get that right?

I am surprised that AC was not asked about the brand or name of the kit.

She was definitely caught in a lie about her role in cleaning the F-150. I don't think the pros. needed to bring it up. It seemed like the Lt. was talking about all 4 of them cleaning that truck. AC testified that she was cleaning her vehicle and didn't know what they were doing or how they were cleaning the truck. Inconsistency. I think the jury will remember and can ask to look at the DVDs if they wish. Good strategy. Good way to get in the idea of looking for a bug. For a home that had surveillance why would you need to look for bugs.

NL asked about PC's monitor. I wonder if that will come up again and make AC look like she is lying as she lives in the house with her mother.

That was a very intentional line of questioning that made AC very nervous. Did you see how her eyes flit back and forth and her voice became weak?

If the pros had a receipt of when AC purchased the cleaning kit they would have had to submit it during AC testimony correct???

I think it depends. If they had, I would think they used it. But, if they are going to go after AC for perjury, they may be saving it for another day.

I will just say that if my family had been threatened by people coming onto/near our property because of the disappearance of a young woman, the last place I would be is washing my car in view of the street, having my loved ones sitting (car cleaning) ducks to any harm that a crazy could do, and giving those harassing people footage of me cleaning the truck that LEO has said they have me on video going to Walmart or using a payphone to call said missing girl. If you are in fear of those who might harm you, you keep your family safe inside. If you feel like people are trying to pin something on you with your vehicle as a mode of transport, you keep that vehicle just the way it was and say' "swab it" to prove she wasn't near that car.

So in the video, why didn't she point out what came from the kit? I.E., those rags we threw in the burn pile were part of the kit

Same! I'm not on the stand and wasn't lying and still had to get a glass of wine to calm down.

My husband said “I bet her heart rate is lower than yours” haha probably true, I was anxious about Ashley’s cross. I FINALLY got him to watch a day of trial with me. After 7 + years of me watching with headphones on, lol. I guess because we are so close in proximity to the case (we go to Myrtle when we need Chik-fil-A or the mall) he decided he’d watch a day of this one.

I think the pros. has to be very careful with this family. They will lie at any turn. So, to challenge to hard and then have another family member corroborate the testimony would be a huge mistake. Right now, AC looks like a liar. NL is smart to leave her there and have faith that the jury will pick up on the stuff she says. To badger her and make her cry might get a fence sitting juror to see the LEO and pros. as mean people who would mistreat the family--helping them to look like victims. Let her words harm her. Let them see her as what they ascribe. The rest of the evidence outweighs her inability to be truthful. If I saw my sister walking around the property with a mirror at the fountain or in the trees, I would definitely ask her what the heck she is doing. I bet most of the jurors would also.

This is totally unrelated to anything happening right now, but I was just looking through my folder of stuff from over the years and came across this pregnancy test. I don't know if any of you remember us talking about the Mickey Mouse pregnancy test, but I just chuckled when I saw it, and I have to share.

What does everyone think, as to whether SM will testify? I think he will not. I really can't imagine his attorneys would recommend that he do so.

I think he will. IMO if he wasn’t he would have already decided that and said so when asked. I think because the defense knew it would be 2 days they don’t want the state to know he is going to testify.
Also this defense team is so inept.

Even if it's true that AC bought SM a car washing kit for his birthday, there is still video of FOUR of them cleaning the truck, including using a power washer, for HOURS. HOURS. FOUR of them.

My thoughts went to the location of the remains recently discovered near that "old dump". Nope our family doesn't "subscribe" to trash service OR take trash to the landfill. Nope, not us!!! We burn it everyday on our own property

I don't think she works there anymore. When asked where she works, she said she's a server at Britain Resorts.
