I wonder if the haircut was mandatory and the shave.
All male inmates' hair must be neatly cut (not to exceed one [1"] inch in length) and must remain above the shirt collar and above the ear (not touching the ear).

Facial hair, full beards or mustaches only, of a 1/2 inch maximum length are permitted for all inmates. Each inmate who grows facial hair will have their photograph taken pursuant to SCDC Policy OP-21.04, "Inmate Classification Plan," Section 66. These photographs will be taken of the inmate without facial hair and with facial hair. Inmates must continually trim and maintain their facial hair to not exceed 1/2 inch in length.

Inmates are only permitted to have full beards or mustaches. Goatees and other partial beard styles are not permitted. Inmates whose beard is patchy or thin will be allowed, but must be in compliance with the 1/2 inch length.

Hello all! I have to wonder, and would love fellow case followers to chime in - do you think Sidney and the Mrs (as she likes to call herself) expected a guilty verdict? If so, do you think they expected a slap on the wrist sentence?

I'm surprised that she didn't attend his sentencing, and shocked that he got ten years (but thrilled!)

Eighteen months ... will we see the Mrs. in court before then?

CWD did an update on Heather's case

The toll on her family is enormous and obvious. The pain and frustration has aged TE tremendously. It's so sad to watch them still searching for their daughter. Hopefully, justice will be served and they will find the missing piece of their family. Though they'll never be whole again, I'm hoping for healing and strength for them all.
JMO MOO etc

I have a hard time watching this Ten Days in the Valley show. Her ex husband reminds me way too much of someone.....

He'll be eligible for parole in just over one year. Seems to be just a slap on the wrist I'm sure to the family of Heather.
How about Mrs. Moorer? Will she be tried for anything at all? I thought she had been in court once or twice in the beginning. Ankle bracelets, etc.

Hope Sid is enjoying his respite from the MRS., but I would really like her to join him ...:jail:

Moorer's lawyer says family accused him of conspiring with State, requests to be relieved as counselhttp://www.wmbfnews.com/story/37010506/moorers-lawyer-says-family-accused-him-of-conspiring-with-state-requests-to-be-relieved-as-counsel

Attorney Kirk Truslow has filed a motion requesting that he be relieved as Sidney Moorer’s pro bono defense counsel, stating that his relationship with Moorer has deteriorated, and Moorer’s family has accused him of conspiring with the State after Moorer was found guilty of obstruction of justice earlier this year.

Why am I not surprised? [emoji849]

All the spare time that the Mrs has now, I figured she would watch TV. Doesn't she realize conspiring is soooo old news? Collusion is the correct term in today's world. Gosh!

But here's the biggest news, Mrs. The only collusion was between you and your spouse. A jury found your spouse guilty of obstruction. That's just the beginning. Get use to courts, judges, and jury rulings. It's a part of your life now. Your time is coming soon. Then the kidnapping and murder trials will start. What a life, eh? What a future to look forward to. All because of jealous and lack of control. You would have been better off to kick him to the curb, and go on with your life. But that's not what you wanted....so now you pay!

I agree, I'm not the least bit surprised! The Moorer's have gamed the system from day one! I expect this is either a tactic to buy more time or it's a tactic to bring Tammy's representation, Greg McCollum, into the lime light. Either way, it's simply smoke and mirrors!

According to the paperwork, the relationship between Truslow and the Moorer's deteriorated:

Defendant and Defendant's family members accused defense council of conspiring with State prosecutors in an effort to have Defendant convicted, as well as other allegations.

Family members have gone so far as to contact the trial judge in this case with the allegation.
