I can't say what Clint does or doesn't know, or thinks he knows or doesn't know. All I can say is that everything I can find on the web regarding silver nitrate and tattoos indicates that it is used for temporary tattoos, not permanent ones.

Plus, as I said before, I have had this stuff on my own skin before, so I know what happens to the mark.

My guess is that (assuming what you say is true) he either didn't know it was temporary and thought it was a real one, or he is making a fuss about nothing.

He didn't know it was temporary? It was years later when Clint was saying about this so of course he would have known if it was temporary or not.

I seriously don't understand why people would think hes making a fuss about nothing.

I know that Clint is a father whose daughter is missing. A father who is desperately waiting to have it confirmed whether or not the remains found are his daughters or not. A man who went searching for his daughter and who regularly went to thank searchers unlike the woman who sat on the sofa watching the television. He is also a man whose been cleared of being involved in the disappearance of his beloved daughter. Unlike Billlie. I also have no doubts whatsoever had Hailey been living with Clint that she would still be alive.

It tells me a whole lot more about Billie. Stealing supplies from an employer, tattooing her underage son. Billie is not any innocent angel. I think she's up to her eyeballs in her daughter missing.

They would not have been able to at the time because of his age.

They could now, but after all this time the results would be worthless. The longer after the event in question, the less reliable the results IMO.

The Truth is the Truth, it doesn't change nor does it become less reliable over time.

Plus, there is no reason for him to volunteer anyway.

His Sister Hailey is missing, seems like a good enough reason to me.

Since DD probably asked her to do it, I doubt it left any emotional scars.

I doubt a teenager knew the effects of dragging a silver nitrate stick over the skin, what the results would be.

Could be that she felt it better that a nurse do it than some random semi-intoxicated friend.

BD did not have a current nursing license when this scarring was performed and even if she did hold a nursing license, there is nothing that qualifies her to intentionally scar a child's back. No respectable, qualified, practicing nurse would intentionally use silver nitrate sticks for purposes other than what they were intended for.

BD is a nurse. She would know what it does and how it is used. CD is not and perhaps he doesn't understand things of that nature very well.

As I have mentioned twice allready, I have personally been accidently exposed to silver nitrate solution on a number of occassions. It stained the skin but it did not cause a chemical burn. I am a chemist, I know what a chemical burn is.

I can confirm that is indeed what it looks like. As is you can see, it looks like a tattoo (but is not), which is probably why it is used for temporary tattoos. If you doubt that it is used for that, google silver+nitrate+tattoo, and you will come up with lots of hits.

My guess is that an effective method of doing this would be to cut out a stencil and then paint the solution over that. The exposed areas would be stained and as long as the stencil is held tight enough against the skin so as to prevent leakage uder the edges, you would end up with something that looks a lot like a tattoo, the only difference being that it would fade over time while a real tattoo would not.

You can stain the skin with silver nitrate, which will wear off. So will indian ink if it isn't pushed into your skin layers with a needle - the stalwart of DIY tattoos.

They used to use it to remove tattoos with an acid, and it would leave a scar. This is the description given of DD's tattoo to my recollection.

David and a friend got a hold of those, and drew on each other, and that’s the only thing they’ve ever drawn on each other with. There’s been no carving. or acids, or chemicals, or anything.

Did you do this to your son, what they’re accusing you of?

No.

That pretty much agrees with what I've been telling you regarding how it works. She is a nurse and obviously knows what they do.

IMO that entire episode is being blown massively out of proportion with the purpose of making her look bad.

That was two years ago, if it is still going on then an enquiring mind would be asking why.

Except that according to the convicted liar it was DD and his friend who did that and according to Clint it was Billie herself which is common behaviour for Billie . I understand people have different ideas about things but Clint had every right not to be happy about it. Also you keep saying shes a nurse. Well one recent job she had was in a carpet cleaning job although she didn't keep it very long. She hasn't really worked for the past two years.

But more importantly where is Hailey? when will these remains be identified?

DD isn't CD's child from what I understand, and they are separated and living separate lives, so he would have no rights regarding DD.

It doesn't matter what BD is doing now, she was trained as a nurse and worked as a nurse. Your knowledge and experience doesn't go poof just because you go on to work at some other job.
