Ok so

1.) Where are Caylee's clothes that she wore when she 'went missing'?
2.) Why didn't Cindy say these clothes and the blanket were missing? They could have helped found Caylee if she was really kidnapped.

I've been tolerant of Cindy, considering she is grieving, but this does not look good for her.

If the red sticker was on top of the duct tape, I think she put it on after she was dead. I mean a kid would not find it fun or "play" if you put some painfully sticky stuff on their face. I wonder what size the sticker was.

I disagree about the bracelets. It's just fashion I don't see that as immature. Have you ever heard of "decora" fashion? I consider myself pretty mature, but I do like to delve in random fashions and I don't think that's a valid judge of character. IMHO.

The letter is a better example for this.

Since I'm hurrying to get to work this AM and not reading the rest of this thread from where I left off last night- this has probably been said.

For sometime I have felt that KC came back to the house after GA saw them leaving (as I think she often did for a long time) on 6/16 (if he really did), and the actual crime took place in the house. The heart-shaped sticker clinched it with me. Just do not believe KC was flitting around in her car with a sheet of stickers handy.

MOOOO this cold morning in SC.

i understand you, it is more likely that it was put there after death, but still, a 2yr old doesn't know how sticky duct tape is. it's just something strange to her and adding the sticker may have made her comply and let mommy put it on, by which time it would be too late to object. i mean if the tape was put on before death then a lot of me says it's to stop any panicked screaming, so you have to avoid the same while putting it there or what's the point?

this whole thing is sick.

yanno what, coming at this in a backwards casey style:
the kidnapping story always bothered me b/c it's ridiculous. casey surely could've come up w/ a better lie. me 7yr old could come up w/ a better lie.
maybe she didn't put the tape there after death to stage a kidnapping. maybe she realized after she got caught that she'd have to say it was a kidnapping (and keep saying that) in case they found the body b/c there was duct tape on her mouth so she couldn't then claim an accident. it had to be a kidnapping.

sorry guys i'm rambling....

well, it doesn't mean much, but it's an opinion i agree with SCSam.

Obviously I'm in the minority, but the more detail that comes out about the disposal of the body, the more it looks like a different perp to me, rather than KCA. If KC were the perpetrator I can't see any way that she would dispose of the body with the duct tape still on, she would remove the tape to lessen the appearance of cruelty/keep the accident option open, and anyway, there's no way I see her depositing the body right there next to the street around the corner from her home. To me, it really looks like a perpetrator who either wanted the body to be found and the murder connected to KCA, or who didn't care if the body was found. I think KC would do everything possible to stay out of prison, she would definitely put the body anywhere else, Orlando is full of woods/foliage off the side of roads and ponds and lakes all over town. She could easily dispose of the body in a million places where it might never be found. The reports of the heart sticker over the taped mouth, likewise, to me it seems like a mocking kind of display, like it was meant to be seen, it seems like maybe a pedophile or like someone committing the crime as a retribution or anger crime against KCA or someone in her family. The heart symbol could even be a calling card of some kind. My opinion only
I can't rule KCA out, but I'm still not totally convinced. (And anyone who could get hold of Caylee could get hold of other items that might be along with her.)

Nobody else did this but Casey. I think it was some kind of sick ritual that she performed. Much as I hate to say this, however, it reminds me a lot of what people do when they bury their doggies or cats that have passed on. Fact is, I honestly think she viewed Caylee not as a person, a loved child, a daughter, a human being.... but a pet. I know when our dog had to be put down, of 18 1/2 years old, in late october...she went with her favorite blanket and her favorite carrot toy...however, her other favorite toy I kept, as well as clippings of her fur and her collar... as my own reminders of her to me. I think that is why she kept the baby doll. The moment I heard all this on the news...I thought about my "rosie", our dog. I just can't help thinking that psychologically that is how she viewed Caylee. a pet.

Drugging a child would be abuse. Maybe forensic testing of the hair could provide that link?

Dr G stated that she did not expect the toxicology results to provide any answers. That's why she went ahead and issued Caylee's death certificate on the day of the remains ID press conference - cause of death - 'undetermined means'.

I believe after Caylee's death she put the heart shaped sticker on the duct tape, double bagged her and then put her in the trunk and drove with her a few days to decide where to bury her.

No need to spin.

There is no doubt that Casey planned Casey's murder and did so maliciously. She wrapped Cayee's head in gorilla duct tape while Caylee was still alive. It was over her mouth and into Caylee's hair. Gorilla duct tape cant be couldn't be taken off a child's face...EVER. If Casey had tried she would have pulled off Caylee's lips and skin. It doesn't get more malicious.

So..."Mommy made the boo boo better and comforted Caylee by putting a sticker on the tape before killing her." And she covered her with a blanket before shoving into a laundry bag. She didn't even dress her or remember the mama doll.

That certainly should earn her a "mother of the year" nomination.

Can you link us to the evidence that 'gorilla' duct tape was 'wrapped' around Caylee's head while she was 'still alive' please? Also the evidence that she wasn't dressed?

TIA

I don't disagree with you, but there is a distinct dichotomy between the choice of bracelets vs. necklaces/pendants that could lend itself to interpretation of not letting go of early youth.

True 'Decora' fashion is more commonly associated with Anime type of look.

Not suitable for a Universal Event Planner.

(And the photos I an referencing certainly don't fit what my perception of decora is. I now feel as if I need to go watch 'What not to Wear' for a refresher course!)

I wonder if KC ever actually bonded with Caylee or if she always kept "an arms length" approach with her.
IMO...KC didn't feel responsible for Caylee's death, so she was able to distance herself emotionally & pay tribute to her even in this small way without any remorse.
KC appears to be immature & I feel that she placed the red heart sticker on Caylee after death as a final gesture of "love";
an immature gesture, but a gesture, just the same.

Just my own opinion...

do you remember george reciting his version of what casey was wearing when she left w/ caylee?
he pointed out that these were her work clothes. did she have pretend' dress-up universal jr. management' outfits too?!

I think so. Sometimes, she was a shorts & flip-flops gal, and others, it was the dress pants and knit tops. I think she did go so far as to 'dress for the role' as required.

It would be interesting to re-interview Clint, TL's room-mate and ask how KC was dressed in the mornings to go to 'work'. Independent source apart from the A's.

between thee and me pots - w/ what they know now i think they should re-interview everyone. so many more questions now exist that no one would have even thought of in the beginning. that's just testimony to how truly bizarre this whole thing has turned out to be.

i think i know where you're going and i've had this thought myself.
my children get ideas of what they want to see during summer hols and most of the time i give in. a good few years back my eldest son wanted to see a real desert, w/ dunes and neverending sand etc so as usual i gave in and headed off to north africa (the sahara was closest) my, then almost 3yr old daughter left her favourite sun hat at the airport. a sun hat is a must and she refused to wear any other one. she'd always loved a particular pair of small diamond stud earrings i have and i'd promised she could wear them when she was a 'big girl'. fortunately i was wearing them that day so i took one off and put it in the side of the hat.
she only took it off at bedtime b/c i promised she could keep the hat w/ her!
this is the kind of trick all mothers know ... even casey.
i realise that a diamond stud in a sun hat and a sticker on duct tape are very different - but the basic method of getting a child to feel comfortable about something, is not.
i'm not saying that i fully believe this is what happened, but i do see it as possible.
if this is the kajillionth post saying the same thing then i apologize. after i read a little of the info coming out yesterday i felt quite emotional and imposed a TO on myself in case i said anything seemingly indelicate or even offensive to some, so i don't know how much has already been said but i'm trying to catch up.

Of course I don't know myself if that is how it came to be that the heart sticker was put there but, like you and every other wsleuther hearing of this yesterday, my heart broke even more for Caylee and my anger only escalated for KC. I know that everyone sees things differently here - thats why I love it - At this time I just can't see KC, after Caylee is dead, putting that sticker on for any reason.

Sing it, Sistah.

I just have this feeling that one of those photo or scrapbooks will have the same stickers - one more nail.

The only other thing missing so far in this case is some prat dancing in their nuddie pants.

(Oh wait, that has happened, hasn't it? Ooops.)

Decora originates in japan, but it really has nothing to do with anime. (from what I know when I lived there)

Also, I have a nice position in my company but I still like to go out and dance in my leopard print leggings and plastic earrings etc.

I can see though how the difference in jewelry might be significant. Now that I think about it, maybe it was all bought for her by guys, and since guys ussually don't buy bracelets ... idk . Thinking about this too hard.

Agree - we both are. We can likely come up with some alternate signs of immaturity though.

(Not adverse to some funky earrings myself) :)

In John Saul's novel Perfect Nightmare (which was out in paperback last spring) there is a pedophile who kidnaps two girls. He duct tapes their mouths, drawing a smile on the duct tape in red, strips them and ties a doll's dress around their waist with a strand of thread - like a crude loin cloth.

Reading about the duct tape with the heart sticker on it immediately reminded me of this book. The fact that police were looking for doll's clothes in the search warrant executed AFTER finding Caylee's remains is also reminiscent of this book. Could these plot elements from the novel "Perfect Nightmare" have been used to fake a pedophile kidnapping?

I also want to note that the pedophile/kidnapper/murderer character in Perfect Nightmare was himself, a victim of incest - he was sexually molested by his older sister and her friends as a child, which was brushed under the carpet by his family and led to him becoming mentally ill.

i can't think of any valid reason either:
kill your child and dump her body like trash or kill your child, lovingly place a heart on the duct tape you used while murdering her and then dump her body like trash. doesn't make sense to me at all. IF that heart were a symbol of anything approaching a real emotion then the last place it would be is on the duct tape .... but then i'm not a homicidal psychopath so i can't be sure.

thank you for a moment of comic relief - that's the first time i've smiled since i got here today :blowkiss:

KC made this "missing my love" entry the day she was arrested?

And who was she referring to, one of her boyfriends? Because you KNOW she wasn't missing her precious daughter.
