IMO What, more than anything, this is illustrating.... to me....how many of the players are linked by suspicious deeds..... how very closely they all are connected to known crimes .... THAT indicates to me that there very well can be a "puppetmaster"..... things seem to be pointing that way TO ME.

Does this appear at all to be true to you Daisy?

Simply replacing someone's computer wouldn't work. The tools FLE use are very sophisticated. I have a very good friend who is a Federal LE specializing in crimes against children. We discussed this last night at dinner.

Bolded part is why replacing the computer wouldn't be the best option. Enter the home, plant the *advertiser censored* on the CPU. You could even go to the extent of planting a Trojan Horse and accessing the computer remotely. From there you could access facebook, IM accounts. etc etc.

Yes, except FLE tools allow them to investigate if this has been done. Remember, they have to know all this because defense attorneys claim people are framed; someone else accessed their computers, etc all the time. Believe me, the LE tools cover all this and more.

I'll go along with that. But, how would they be able to tell if the material had just been planted on the computer?

In this particular case, it wasn't one incident. There were several conversations over time. All documented and captured with forensic tools as it happened. Not something you can plant on someone's computer--even if done remotely--that would be known. Everything leaves a trail--even anonymizers.

My friend left this morning for Dallas for this conference. https://www.cacconference.org/

The program .pdf is on their page. Interesting reading. Joseph Duncan's case is one that will be presented.

I was referring to the images. The conversations could have come from anywhere that someone had access to his myspace. Unless of course you have the knowledge that they know the conversations came from his home CPU.

Yes, they would know exactly where the conversations come from. Images as well.

Getting back to the subject of Tice (isn't this thread supposed to be about Tice?).

There is an interesting article in the NY Times about Tice and Rick Outzen:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/17/us/17pensacola.html

Here is an interesting statement about the Billing's attorney Beasley:

Mr. Beasley, who acknowledged giving tips to Mr. Outzen because he respected his rabble-rouser role,

At the same time, he defended Tice in the PNJ

Beasley said Tice's former company, Hispanic-American Auto Sales, is defunct because of severe financial problems. He said Tice wouldn't have the resources to hire someone to kill the Billingses

http://www.pnj.com/article/20090808/NEWS01/908080329

It seems that Beasley may be supplying tips to Outzen, defending Tice to the PNJ. Strange?

Let's keep this thread on topic please.

In the investigative report released today, Tice is quoted as telling LE (in two separate interviews) that he called Gonzalez Jr. after 7 on night of murders because he couldn't open his email. In the video interview released a few days ago, Tice said he made that call because he wasn't able to print from the computer. Sounded like two different explanations to me.

Maybe he couldn't open the document (attachment) in his email to print it?? Wasn't it something like a document for a friend for, or from, Tallahassee?

In this Cab Tice [video] Interview On Billings' Case Evidence Released 08/14/09...

http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/raw_news/videos/vid_140.shtml

...while querying Tice, interviewer Thomas refers to/reads from the 7/12/09 ECSO Investigative Report (GonzalesJr-Chavez-Baggett interview) released today http://ricksblog.biz/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Gonzalez-report.pdf

"Patrick went on to indicate another car dealer Sanchez was involved..."

shortly after this Thomas asks Tice:

"was he [Sanchez] the person with the Mexican Mafia you borrowed money from?"

This was my first thought, too, when I read the name Sanchez in the ECSO Report. I thought I recalled Tice telling Thomas of WEAR in the first interview that he borrowed money (20K) from a guy who worked for him named Sanchez who borrowed it from his family and ultimately from the MexiMafia. Tice denies it being the guy from whom he borrowed money and mentions a local car dealer named Sanchez who "doesn't know" BB.

Well your very good friend FLE should know that replacing the computer is not needed all that is needed would be someone who is very good with computers. If a person knows how to hack into a computer they can sit outside blocks away from where the computer is and break into it.Its not hard if you know what you are doing.Even the computer forensic guys will think it originated at the persons IP address and that persons computer.

Very well put.

This is the biggest flaw in an otherwise good interview.

What was Tices purpose in volunteering this info? Why not just leave it at "called that night for computer help, didn't connect until the next morning"?

Maybe what he meant was AFTER LPG Jr was arrested, Tice THEN informed the police about the phone call the night of the murders?

Otherwise, if he called the police that next morning after the murders, Tice might have been the one to put LPG Jr on the police's radar.

In the "Tice Reacts to Billings Case Evidence Release 8/14" interview
http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/raw_news/videos/vid_140.shtml
this is exactly what he is now claiming- he called AFTER the police arrested LPG Jr - and it is too easy to check, so I think that is what happened.

Mods have said this is OT so I will not be discussing this further.

The State Attorney has released the transcripts of the interviews with Henry “Cab” Tice.

In his interview, Tice described Salvano Gonzalez has a good salesman that worked for him and later for Bud Billings collecting on accounts, after Tice’s Hispanic-American Auto Sales closed. According to Tice, this is the man who got him the $20,000 loan from the Mexican mafia. Tice was told the interest was would only be $1,500 if he paid it back in five to six months.

When Tice’s car business closed, Salvano “began to panic and told me that, he had previously told me he had cousins in Atlanta, but he inferred that they were in Mexican Restaurant business…well, then he tells, me ‘they’re members of the Mexican mafia.’”

Salvano tells Tice that he used to work for them, these people don’t play, they were gonna kill. They won’t kill you, they kill your family and we got to get them this money.”

Gonzalez=$20K Loan; Sanchez=Auto Dealership

In the article Transcript of Tice Interviews published on Ricks Blog:

"Tice also identified Jose Sanchez as used car dealer that launders money for the Mexican mafia "

http://ricksblog.biz/?p=7217

In his Wear interview when asked about connections between Sanchez and the Mexican Mafia Tice clearly states: "I have no proof he has connections with the Mexican Mafia"

http://www.weartv.com/newsroom/raw_news/videos/vid_140.shtml (about 1/3 through the video)

So, Tice told one thing to the Police and some days later (8/17/09) he told exactly the opposite to a journalist. What does this tell us?

@ pp 713 of the 729 page master pdf, Tice also seems to have told investigators a substantially different story about his computer activities the day of the murder than he did in a previous television interview.

Rather than hurriedly rushing to print documents for taking to Tallahassee, and needing Jr to fix a balky print function to make hard copies; here we get a tale of Cab using his PC to watch a movie, and having email issues.
