Dewayne Arthur Johnson III is being held in the brig at Ford Island. Charged late last month for making false statements, obstructing justice and distributing child *advertiser censored* in connection with his missing wife, Mischa Johnson. My son at Schofield called last night and he said they (CID, Army officials) had been looking in the area behind the machine gun range in the last week or so. Apparently there has been a horrific smell, but he doesn't think they've found anything. It would have been in this area of the photo I am attaching. I asked if it looked like the husbands unit was looking there, and he said no...it looked official and that they looked like they were looking for something buried. So is it something? I dont know but figured Id share. My son said it could also be a dead wild hog --- but as of when he was last at work Thursday, nothing had been found.

I asked my son this question...how could he outsmart CID thus far. My son's reply is he would not be surprised if the husband was high when all this went down. Apparently there is a whole issue of soldiers getting high on the island with drugs that are much stronger than whatever they had on the mainland. I asked what drugs and he said he didn't know, but it was locally grown stuff (so whatever that means).


Edited to add: I have zero idea if drugs were involved. But some on the base are speculating that they were.

Anything is possible. Although, I think the theory that he was enraged by Mischa talking to his mother about his alleged activities with minors, was most likely the trigger.

I know we can’t always go on looks, but DJ doesn’t look like the drug using type. He looks more like the My body is a temple. I workout twice a day type. IMO

He had a bit more than 2 weeks between when Mischa was last seen and when he reported her missing. Also, we have no idea if this was something he had been planning for a while or if it was spur of the moment. There are so many places he could’ve stashed her body, especially if he was hiding her in small pieces. Sorry, I know that is gruesome to read.

I’m currently leaning towards this being something DJ had been ‘planning’, not sure that he could ever actually go through with it. They had probably been having lots of disagreements over him spending more time out with his single friends which lead him to seeing young girls. When confronted about it he told Mischa he had no plans to stop. Then she sent a text to his mother, and he completely lost it.

How would taking drugs help you outsmart CID? Wouldn't being high make you more likely to get caught?

Depends on the drug. I have a friend who said when he did meth he made his best music and toured the whole world like that. He would play piano for hours, lol.

That may be an outlier though, idk how much of that we see in real life.

Judging by how skillfully he managed to hide/dispose of her, he could just be above average in intelligence and maybe did his “homework” to some extent. Sometimes I think these kinds of killers don’t necessarily care if they’re implicated for murder…a no body case almost guarantees a plea bargain, and a loooong time negotiating and redirecting to drag out the process. Do I want to imagine he knew this going into his attack? No…but I don’t think we can exclude it just yet.

Is it premeditated if he’s got a method of disposal hashed out in his mind, and an idea of where he’d put her… but it’s the phone call that triggers the attack? IDK, I’m not a lawyer. But maybe?

I don’t think Mischa’s murder was premeditated. Primarily because of the amount of time he waited to report her missing. I think the two probably weren’t very compatible to begin with. But it was all fun and games, exciting in the beginning as all new relationships are. When she became pregnant, her lifestyle and relationship expectations changed. His evidently didn’t.

I think they hadn’t been getting along. There was a fight after she texted his Mom. Further, maybe she threatened to call his CO or otherwise report what he was doing with minors. He loses it and she ends up dead. Probably by strangulation.

I think he waited so long to report her missing because he didn’t know how he was going to explain. He was buying himself time to get it together. All just MOO.

If he disassociated he would have no memory of the crime and couldn't crack under interrogation or contradict his own story. I thought that's what OP meant.

I think they were implying he had separated himself from the crime, and that was what was making him outsmart CID.

I dont think this was premeditated at all. I think he initially panicked that everyone was going to find out he was a and he didn't want that happening. I do think he sat with the body for a minuet before he did whatever he did to it to dispose of it. IMHO that part was thought through.
