HHJP is balanced and brilliant. He has given the defense team enough leeway, and I think that he is going to start reeling in the fishing line. I admire this very wise man, and he will ensure that justice prevails.

I too admire him and I KNOW Caylee's justice is in fine hands and he will be honorable, he isn't Chief Justice for no reason....he is fair and balanced and has given the defense lots of leeway. I see it as, give them enough rope and they'll hang themselves...Love this Judge and I love how LDB fought for Caylee's justice...she too is impeccable in my eyes...JMHO

Justice for Caylee will come at a price...that price will be whatever it is ICA is given for her sentence...whether it be death by lethal injection or that she spends the rest of her sorry life in prison, no chance at parole. Justice will come to Caylee Marie...JMHO

Justice for Caylee

Wise words about a wise man.........

Today I award him and you...................

Let's just say the 9th circuit court of appeals would not be a good home for HHJP...silly ole notion of ruling on law and not legislating from the bench that makes me want to wubby wubby pinch pinch his big old cheeks!

I yike dis man---he is so cute and sweet. I could lay my head on his shoulder and know i would be safe. He is "a" ok

he is a good judge but your not gonna tell me he isnt using the media to his advantage .. ppl are like that most of them anyway

I haven't seen any interviews or sound bites of HHJBP except for one recently about an old case he prosecuted & the female defendant got the DP. Granted I don't live in FL so don't see local papers/magazines, etc. But we do see a lot of news online and I just haven't seen HH in many (any :waitasec: ).

To me, he is a no-nonsense, by the book, compassionate, calm, fair, smart as a whip with a wit & tongue to match...but a media hound? No...IMO he's more like the SA's and cops - very, very quiet.

HHJP knows his law chapter and verse. I don't see him as catering to the media. He is honest, brilliant, compassionate and unbiased. He is going to bring this trial to an end so that Caylee Marie gets the justice she deserves. This man deserves more than polite hand clapping for the job he has undertaken.

He had me at the first ........... MR. BAEZ ........

It cracks me up everytime he says it in his judgely style

I so agree. He is the very model of what a Judge should be.

In what way? Can you give us an example of where the Judge is 'using media' to his advantage...

i had never even heard of the guy before this .. most ppl probably hadnt .. its in human nature to use avenues to better yourself get voted in again ect.. i mean nothing bad .i just think i know how ppl can be since im a person too .even the ppl with the best intentions can get drawn in .. i am not saying he has set out to do so .. but he knows he has a no nonsense appearence to keep up . he knows he has to stay with the reason he was chosen .. however im sure he will try to better himself with the media watching him .. he will probably make decisions he wouldnt normally give into . however im not sure either .. but i know people well enough to know that most of them in a profession this important would most likely had they the opportunity . not that many judges have that not with a case to this magnitude

That just means he is not a "celebrity". He is a highly respected jurist and has been for many many years. he tried several extremely high profile cases over the years, both as a prosecutor and a judge. I believe he was the first prosecutor in the US to try (and convict) a woman for capital crimes after the SCOTUS allowed the resumption of the death penalty in the 70's. He is well known in legal circles for having one of the best records of his decisions withstanding appeal. At the same time he has a well earned reputation of not being a soft judge. He has attended the executions of those he has tried or sentenced. Including the women. I really don't think he is fishing for fame or votes at this point. He is well known within both the Florida legal community and within his electorate. Although this case is probably the first time that a lot of said electorate have probably seen his rather entertaining and distinct style themselves.

Spot on, ty.
His Honors brain is one of those that will vibrate in fits of delight at every twist, turn, snafu, and mistruth, keeping it all organised and able to access it's info in a nano second. A brain so powerful, it could run the computers of some far off planet ala 'Spocks Brain'.
While others kick down the yellow brick road in search of one.

The only way I see His Honor engaging/mingling in media matters, is in the way he seems to give a wink and nod in understanding of the nature of the beast and it's subjective biaseses ..ezzezz
( Fun to say with a Cindy Brady lisp.)
I'll revert back to my irreverant self, on the off chance I may say something remotely readable.. Mcpeep

ok fine i will leave it at that then .. all i did was state what i thought of the matter which i thought i was entitled to do .but i have to back it up now and defend my opinion. geez .. your all entitled to yours and i didnt ask any of you to to prove anything or give anyone a hard time about it ..

Blowing a kiss, cuz, well..um ..it was interesting to hear your opinion, but I don't think you were pummled for your comments. Really.
What I saw is just an exchange of subjective observation.
Forgive me for interjecting myself..
I'm off to the game room to flex a brain muscle..
Have a great day, everyone. :seeya:
