The trial kicks off tomorrow at 9 a.m. with final jury selection. Circuit Court Judge Creed McGinley, who is presiding over the trial moved here from Decatur County, said the final jury will be chosen Thursday and Friday, and then released for the weekend.



Jurors will return Monday morning to Pickwick Inn, where they will be sequestered for the duration of the trial, early enough to store their belongings and then be bused to the courthouse for the start of the trial.

Actual trial proceedings begin Monday, July 10 around 8 a.m. and continue daily until 5-5:30 p.m.

The judge said the trial will also continue on Saturdays for a half-day, on an if and as needed basis.

McGinley said Monday that the trial could take as little as a week, but may go as long as a week-and-a-half or two weeks.

So sad for Holly's family to once again have their emotions high just to be postponed. I know everyone wants this trial to be "spot on" with no possibility of error to allow them to get away with this crime. But this has gone on long enough. Justice for Holly and her family.

I feel so bad for her family. What an emotional roller coaster for them! I'm sure they are wondering if this will ever end. Prayers for the Bobo family.

I'm beginning to feel that the State does not want to fully try this case. It seems to me they are playing "chicken" with the defendant(s) to obtain a plea or pleas. Less possible overturns or appeals. Not to mention cheaper when budgets are tight.

I am still not lost on the fact that ALL these defendants had LONG court appearances before the same Judge(s) yet were out running the streets to do this crime in the first place. IMO there is plenty of shame to go around for this Judicial system and it's administrators. These fools had rap sheets that wouldn't even fit on one page each.

BBM: I agree ... and my radar is going through the roof right now ! I have some thoughts and opinions ... about this judge :innocent: ... but I better keep :shutup:

Both the State and Defense have had ample time to get it together. This is not fair to Holly's Family and Friends as they have endured this for over 6+ years now, and most of all, it is NOT fair to Holly Bobo!

JMO but there is something -- not sure what -- that is hinky dinky about this case.
