According to the press conference yesterday, this may be incorrect information from this private investigator.

TBI Director Gwyn stated JA was serving a 3 year state sentence and had a 100 month federal sentence remaining to be served. That is just over 11 years total for both sentences, not 15 to life.

I have yet to figure out where (in court docs or MSM) the 15 to life is coming from.

MOO.

This seems to be the source of a lot of 'sensationalism' about JA. The 15-to-life sentence claimed by this PI is unfounded from what I can find.

The 15 to life is quoted here on WSMV;

"One of Adams' best friends, by all accounts, is Jason Autry, who is currently serving 15 years to life in prison with 26 felonies on his record."
http://www.wsmv.com/story/24910349/friends-coming-to-terms-with-reality-in-holly-bobo-case

This PI links to and repeats this but also links his parole hearing dates with tn.Gov
Which can be found here; and claims that it was reduced.

I am taking both with a grain of salt and believing Gwyn to be more accurate. JMO

Couldn't agree more. The judicial and legal ethics in that region are highly suspect to me.

So am I. I believe that MSM link just ran with Warner's 'info'... Dockets, etc. do NOT support the claim.

IMO, this trial should be Federal, or a Special Prosecutor and Judge should be brought in to prosecute the 'A Gang'...

Foxfire, this would be a dream for me. The Feds? Oh yes. Things would be done right.

Even though I didn't think it was so, I kept hoping in the recesses of my mind that one of these drug trucks picked up Holly from her kidnappers. I tried to hope against hope that she was alive.

:seeya: Nice to see ya, noclue !

BBM: No info yet from LE on Holly's condition when she was seen alive at ZA's house ...

Reminder : 1:00 pm today

ZA : Status Conference

JWA : Arraignment

Thanks, Dog.gone!

The feeling is mutual!

Has anyone else had a chance to read the civil complaint for restraining order filed on behalf of SA? This jumped out at me. It's a portion of an email from SA's attorney to the current ADA assigned to the case: (bolded by me)

http://www.scribd.com/doc/221108680/Complaint-Austin-v-TN

Based on this email, it would seem that SA told the TBI where they (supposedly) could find Holly's remains and, wherever the location, the TBI could not find them. All MOO.

Great catch, Murphy! :thumb:

Thanks Foxfire for bringing these out again. We had discussed this earlier in the thread. But now that we are at this juncture I think it is more relevant and others can see the "elephant in the room" more now. I have in no way forgotten what I consider the prior miscarriages of justice or lack of, in Zach's and now Jason's criminal past.

IMO they both should have been kept in jail for past deeds, and had they Holly could still be singing and nursing.

I don't know about anyone else but when the Judge was giving his instructions as to (in his words) plea deals and the time frame for him to accept one. But it seemed more like an invitation, which I have never heard come directly from a Judge before. And stressed that it must be done timely. It kept reminding me that this is the same Judge that has presided over MANY if not almost all of Zach's previous "plea deals" and suspended sentences and agreed to dismissed charges in the past.

I had to leave right after the hearing....the sound was not good on my computer so maybe some of you can answer this for me....in everything I have read and followed on cases, if you are indigent a defense lawyer will be provided to you....a public defender...that is what they do. Now I realize I must have heard wrong today....Autry was quizzed by the judge about his retaining an attorney....I am sure it was obvious to all and the judge that this guy is already in jail and has no money....I understood the judge to instruct him about hiring an attorney.....and it sounded as if he never said "we can appoint a public defense atty. for you"...then Adams gets up, the female attorney informs the judge that Adams has signed over his property to his grandfather for him to make the funds available for his defense....the attorney quickly tells the judge that she does not see that being enough money to cover her expenses at which time the judge makes some remark about "reasonable expenses" I missed that.....then Adams claimed indigency and has signed the proper forms for that....how in the world did that work???? Autry has nothing and was instructed to find an attorney, Adams has an attorney and is being paid and now he is indigent??????? Somebody help me out. What did I miss?

I just did some checking, and it seems to me that one of the reasons for the revolving door problem in TN might be prison space. According to this TDOC monthly report last month (March 2014) the state prisons are at 98.7% occupancy. That's tight. Looks like if TN wants to get serious about criminals doing their time, they better build some more prisons. Otherwise there is going to be more and more Zach and Jasons.

I can't seem to find the interview. Can you link it again?

I had the same problem. It's a LONG broadcast and no way to fast forward. It took forever to get to it, then there was a technical glitch and they moved onto another story... then back.

I believe she was telling the Judge that Zach and his family has retained her services. Zach signed over his property (that his Dad left him AND Dylan) to his Grandfather. Basically what she was telling him was that was not even going to be enough to go through the 27 volumes of discovery that the prosecution is going to turn over in 6 weeks. So the Judge essentially made her his "public defense" on the state's dime.

I think the same thing exactly will happen with Autry. They are just kicking the can down the road as far as I'm concerned.

If Zach retains his attorney then the court stipulates she must remain his attorney for the duration of these procedures. So if she gets started and then Zach runs out of money, she can't just walk off the job. She in essence told the judge that Zach's money will not go far and so she needs the court to pick up her expenses after that point, if they want her to stay on Zach's case. The judge agreed to do that, at a reasonable rate.

Watch the 6P news and the interview with Candance Wood re: Shayne Austin. It will give you the creeps.
http://www.wsmv.com/category/213709/news-live-stream

Thanks for posting! This answers the coon hunt question that some have had …

Per Candance Wood, Holly’s friend, they doubled dated at the coon hunt.

So, yes, Holly was at the coon hunt. (some posters have been saying that was a rumor)

**Very important**
Also, a man, kept looking at Candance and Holly, then looking at his phone, only to look back in their direction. Candance felt uneasy. She did not know if he was looking at her or at Holly but he was looking at one of them. (She did not mention where the guys, their dates - boyfriends were at this point).
This was four days before the disappearance of Holly. After hearing of Holly’s kidnapping, Candance reflected on the coon hunt creepy event, called Karen and told her. Karen told her to report it. She reported to the TBI. A sketch was done which was showed and compared in this news report to Shayne Austin’s picture. Looks just like him!

So, this was the stalking at the coon hunt. A premeditated act was being planned four days before Holly’s kidnapping.

In the interview, Holly's friend describes how a man who looked a lot like Shayne Austin appeared to be stalking them when she and Holly were on a double date.

He kept staring at them, on his phone, would watch, look back...did about 4 or 5 times.

4 days before her disappearance.

He was wearing camouflage from head to toe.

The sketch (shown in the interview) that was drawn when she went to TBI appears to be a dead ringer for Shayne Austin.

Let me tell ya....I've held my peace. But good lord, Autry was talked about 3 years ago as a suspect for locals, in addition to ZA. What took so long?! These guys are criminals of the worst sort, with multiple felonies? How, how, how, can TBI fail the Bobos by not nailing these guys early on?

Now that I've got that out, thank goodness they are making up for lost time. The truth will out....let justice roll.

BBM - Are you serious. OMG

BBM - Are you serious. OMG

Yes, Wondergirl, totally serious. These are not innocent choir boys. They are career felons. Jason Autry has 26 felonies on his record! So this fact, along with their names being accused, surely had to cause local LE and TBI to take a look at them.

I don't know what to make of this. Something is off about it.
