Hi C, I'm doing the crazy dance too.

LOL. I always read the one star reviews. Saves me buying lots of stuff.

The whole thing is a mess. As these line up this way means she has half her body over hot water on the trek up -- with something with this much energy that aint good.

My icebergs are sounding more appealing huh!

Rachel did a piece on Turkey point nuclear plant down there during Andrew they

Utterly incredible all I thought about was a pressure washer

The Atlantic now has 3 hurricanes active at the same time: #Irma, #Jose and #Katia. The last time this occurred was September 16-17, 2010.

does anyone know why on tweets it repeats it underneath the actual tweet?

I live three streets from the ocean in north central Florida. As a Florida native, hurricanes have never bothered me. But I have a really bad feeling and I've been crying a lot today. I've gotten together the important stuff, my husband and I are retired. The question is when to leave...also taking our cat of course. Going to my daughters in Mississippi, nine hour drive. It's hard to look at your home and picture none of it there when you come back. My heart is broken for the people in Texas. I also feel petty knowing the only really important thing is our lives. My husband is 75 and I worry about him.

Crazy times call for crazy thoughts - although I suppose I am really not allowed to use this as an excuse for crazy thoughts!

I am not talking about trying to blow up a hurricane! But is seems like some missles that would land right under the eye could disrupt the sucking up of water and weaken her

sounds silly but what would be wrong with just trying it and seeing if it disrupts it?

Not so silly. The better half and I were just talking about the same thing. With all of today's technology you'd think they could disperse these big ones somehow but, then again, that might not be good to play with mother nature. It may create other problems we don't want. Maybe like a large scale Butterfly Effect.

Gosh I did not remember Mathew had 585 fatalities CNN

IANA Floridian but kind of adopted the state. Been visiting down there for, well, telling my age, over 50 years. I just wanted to say that I don't think you're being petty, and that I'm thinking of all ya'll down there, and hoping this thing takes a turn out into the ocean and goes away. Please don't wait too long though. Barbuda is flattened. The NYPost said Irma is now the the size of Texas.

Ohhhhhhhhhh lordy is Mother Nature ticked off! Watching this very closely from Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm headed out in an hr on a rescue mission to get my daughter and the fur babies who are 30 mins north of Fayetteville, NC. I'm taking them to western SC then trekking back to Myrtle Beach. The hubby and I unfortunately have to wait until the last minute to decide whether to go or ride this out. He's part of the management team at his company that will be needed before and after the storm. He's shrugging this off because he's used to these storms from growing up in Clearwater, FL. I, on the other hand, am a freaked the heck out Minnesotan!!!!

Twitter links cannot be seen by some people on Tapatalk so we typically copy and past the content so they can see what the post says.

I emailed my rellies in Haines City on Tuesday afternoon and haven't had a response. They do travel a lot so I'm hoping they're safely out of state at present and not picking up emails. They're both in their late 80s :(

At 5:00 am, Irma has softened just a little bit with higher pressure of 921. We will take everything we can get to lower impacts of the storm.

Models are consistent to yesterday for Florida....slightly off the coast (GFS) and slightly on the coast (Euro) of Miami.

Still, it's all about the turn. NHC continues to leave the cone of uncertainty open for anything with the cone covering the entire state of FL, east and west coast.

The models remain quite different after Florida landfall. The EURO presents the storm riding up the coast, partially on land, with lanfall in Georgia. The GFS keeps it on water, with a landfall in Charleston. And the Canadians keep it on water, with a landfall in North Carolina.

Be safe everyone....will be checking here for your status.[emoji4]

I have weathered Hurricane Sandy and had loved ones at the center. I know how terrifying it was. I hope only the best for the safety of any and all members here during this storm. Please stay safe and on high ground, my friends.

Kaen ... where are you located? Are you in Florida, too? Be well, where're you are!

I hate hearing our friends "sound" worried and helpless. Get your important tuff together in case you decide to pick up and leave quickly. Holding you in my thoughts that you manage to escape any devastating news.

Regardless of which side of FL - or down the center - Irma travels, there is going to be destruction, the question is, what degree of destruction. Been a lot of talk at work all week about this and my boss has been talking about removing computer equipment from the windows (we are on the second floor of a three-storey office building about a quarter of a mile closer to the Gulf from where we live) and wrapping it in plastic.

Like I said before, this one is scaring me and normally I do not get scared of hurricanes. The nervousness, the dread...saw the full moon this morning which looked so beautiful. Hope it's not my last one.

Stay safe everyone! Have to leave for work soon.

Irma has killed at least nine people. Six died on the French side of the island of St. Martin and two others on St. Barthélemy. An infant in Barbuda also died in the storm.

the link is above, every time I put in the link it converts it to video

Is it too much to ask for Irma to make a U-turn back out into the Atlantic!
