Doesn't mean he didn't add the gloves till later. ( I know too many crime books)

lol. I'm pretty sure we've beaten the TG horse to death at least twice by now.

Also, anyone coming along after TG and before the bikes were found at 3:58 could have moved them out of the way and they haven't come forward because they 'don't want to get involved".

I hope that is not the case! Although if you think about how the meter reader was pilloried in the Casey Anthony trial, and the side eyes thrown at TG in this case (and perhaps this has happened in other cases; I'm not sure), one might see why potential witnesses might not say anything. However, I would like to think that any potential discomfort is outweighed by the need to get these girls back to their families.

MOO

there are just so many variables... there are so many ways to look at it in my opinion... i agree with whoever said that some of the past histories in the family are like shiny objects to me too... i think too much time has passed for them to be being hidden by family - i just know that there are so many cases where all of these theories are batted around and never pan out, and then really there is only a few different outcomes 1- found 2- not found and when they are found more times than not they are not found alive. sad and frustrating.

What I remember about Grandma and Tammy was they had "plans" and Tammy was waiting for Grandma at Grandma's house in Waterloo. Grandma was supposed to leave around 1:30 with Lyric. So around 2 (?) Grandma left the Collin's house and went to meet Tammy. They were back looking at the lake by 2:45.[/QUOTE

Then who was supposed to stay with the other kids if heather wasn't there and misty was at work?

Seems like she's said a few things that haven't be substantiated. :waitasec:

It just seems so weird that Grandma was never told this information. How long did Auntie know about Lizzie riding to the lake before?

It seems like Auntie knew it before she took the search over there, otherwise why go there of all places? Was it just a lucky guess?

But when did Auntie find out that Lizzie had ridden to that lake with her friends before? Because as of that moment, she had never shared that important tidbit with Grandma, and it seems like important news, given that the bikes were found there and the girls are still missing.

So she never tells Grandma during the times they are discussing the urgent search for the girls, but then on national tv she corrects her and blurts it out. It just seemed so awkward and odd, imo.

There is a 12 yr old brother. My son babysat at 12.

Has anyone seen a show of family unity between Heather/Drew and any other members of the family? I know they all attended both vigils, but I mean, was there any closeness? Any tenderness between Heather and either of her sisters? I just spent an hour looking through photos and I see Heather and Drew hugging each other, and Tammy/Misty/Wilma hugging each other, but no cross hugging between those 2 groups. Just wondering if maybe I have missed it somehow.

it just made me wonder if the all the kids spent time with auntie and she is much more lenient with them than gc or hc???

The next people coming down the trail may have moved them so others could get past. Stood them/leaned them on /next to the fence.
No big deal, IMO.

It just bothers me that it is not clearly stated where and how the bikes were found. Sure TG probably a good guy more than likely moved them out of the way, but the bikes being abandoned on the bike trail makes me think someone surprised them and took them. If the bikes were originally parked against the fence like Abben says they were found then that makes me think the girls parked them there and left with someone (or the girls never made it to the park and someone took the bikes there). I think the bike placement is important.

has it ever been said where lyric was with tb's daughter when she was so late that they called the cops? wonder if they were at this lake?

I just going back reading, i am glad people are finally seeing what fbi sandra brault is saying about the evidence they have against the girls being alive. I still cant find the video where she was walking outside on the sidewalk with her interviewer/reporter thats when i thought she said it so clearly, with a believable tone.

Drew was home.

I believe TG saw two bikes on the trail.

But in an effort to reassure myself that the bikes were later found against a fence, I can't find anything to support that. I read several articles, all say the bikes were found near the trail in a fenced area. In fact, I even found once source that said one bike was laying down and one was on it's kickstand!

So have I been misleading myself all this time about where the bikes were eventually found? Does anyone have a link where it says the volunteer firefighter found the bikes leaning against a fence? I can't find that anywhere. TIA.

ETA: Sorry, I see where others have already posted the same thing - I'm a couple of pages behind.
And very early on I hoped that TG went back to the trail with LE to try to validate that those were in fact Elizabeth and Lyric's bikes.

No, because they were in Waterloo, I believe. All we were told, IIRC, is that they were on foot. They were walking somewhere and came home much later than expected.

When I was with my 11 yr old cousin, when I was 10, and we went walking a lot, and were late, we were often visiting little boys. :angel:Not me, because I was still only 10. but she was 11 going on 12, and she was developing already [ my cousin I am speaking about] so she introduced me to the boys in her neighborhood. lol

Nothing was going on, we would just sit and watch them punch each other and show off for us.

What bothers me, is Mr Carpenter says quite clearly he's seen them there all the time. Who else has seen them there all the time? :waitasec:

I don't believe that TG moved the bikes. He said he swerved around them, or one of them, but I have not seen anything about him stopping, getting off his bike and moving those two bikes. Only that he had to swerve. It sounds to me like he simply kept going, probably thought the kids that put them down were close by somewhere.

Abben said they were against the fence when he arrived but we don't know how long after they were found that he arrived. It could have been long enough that they were photographed and whatever else needed to be done and LE themselves placed them against the fence.

i think it might be something along the lines of what katydid is suggesting... they were crushing on some boy, etc... i did the same kinda stuff,lol...

the other idea for me is that this could be kid on kid violence... like 13-14 year old kids... mean bully kids or something. .. idk, it just keeps crossing my mind...

I am convinced Mr. Carpenter and his wife were familiar with Elizabeth, but not Lyric because he/they were sure it was Elizabeth on her bike although he said he could not identify the bike/tell what color it was because they were going so fast and then the wife added in "but not the other one."

I agree, everything I have read about him sounds like he swerved and kept on going, but Deputy Abben also responded quickly to the reporter that asked about the bikes being moved "you tell me, they were against the fence when I got here". Just sounds like information they are likely keeping close.

Is the lake (water, not the land around it) open for paddleboating and such?! I'm not saying they are in the lake, I'm just wondering out of curiosity :)
