He just got out of prison THIS WEEK!!! Yeah that was a good idea! Letting him out, I mean.
Our local news said he was just released January of this year from prison in Wisconsin. The body they found is his mother's but they have not yet released any further details.
M. MORRISSEY: Yes. A week before this, Lyric and her other cousin, Tammy`s daughter, K (ph), who were in Green Briar, which is another division of Waterloo, and they went walking to the park. They were gone for an extended amount of time. We went looking for them at the park, and they weren`t there. So we called the police. They -- right when I called the police they came walking up to the house.

I am pretty sure that this http://goo.gl/maps/mVaRh is the Greenbrier neighborhood
But why did they choose that day, of all others, to make the Lake their destination?
Whether they asked for directions or not, their bikes were there so I imagine they were too, or at least very close by.
Why choose that particular day to break the rules?
Asking for directions implies that they'd never been there before...under their own steam, anyway.
:cow:
I always suspected someone possibly overheard something said or discussed that they were not supposed to hear or they heard something that was interpreted the wrong way and it was reported to LE. Thinking it may have been recorded.
NOT accusing Misty or Wylma...just maybe a comment they made about someone else or something relative to their disappearance in someone else's opinion.

Definitely off topic, but a bit of distraction: Southwest Florida Eagle Cam.
Daddy Eagle, Ozzie, caring for 2 newly hatched chicks. He is sitting on them right now very gently. Not sure where mom is. Haven't seen her yet.
Also can check out: http://dickp ritchettrealestate.com/eagle-feed.html
ETA: Daddy Ozzie is feeding the babies some fish now.

History of chicks at this nest .2011/12-1 chick, 2010/11- 1 chick, 2009/10-1 chick, 2008/09-2 chicks
The eagles have had their names ever since they moved onto the property in 2007/08. Ozzie and Harriet
The nest resides 60 feet above the ground, in a Slash Pine tree. The camera faces South East.
Nesting season begins here in South FL Oct. 1. The eagles stay until late April or May.
These bald eagles have been coming to this nest for the past 5 years. They reside in this nest between the months of October and April. Before building this nest in 2006/07, the pair had a nest on the opposite side of Bayshore Road. This location is now known as Eagle Landing. These mature, mating pair continue to make Southwest Florida their winter home.
This year, DPRE is excited to have a live look into their Southwest Florida nest. They have installed a camera that will film the birds 24/7 and stream live video directly to this site. The camera is positioned 6 feet above the nest. It is attached to a tree limb using no screws or nails in order to preserve the tree. The camera's night vision is an infrared light which emits no actual light. Nor does it make any noise. The birds do not see or hear anything coming from the camera.
The objective of this camera is to bring these beautiful birds into our homes. The goal of DPRE is to foster appreciation, admiration and respect for these magnificent creatures. Our intentions are to learn from these birds so we may better understand them and their habits.
This nest is labeled LEO26B of the Florida State Monitoring Program. It has been monitored for 5 years at its current location. The pair relocated the nest in 2006/07 to its present location.
There are 133 nests in a 25 mile radius.
Closet nest is one mile.
I've read every post on this thread, I have seen nothing like that. Someone asked about releasing the names of the 245 arrestees from Operation Sunflower. JamieinLA posted a link stating that they are releasing the names in the local area for the arrests. The woman with the tattoo was local to her area.
After she posted the link to the news article in her area someone else mentioned that there was an alleged abduction attempt in IA this past summer and wondered if there was a connection. The two people who allegedly tried to kidnap the little boy were never found.
The lady in the article, that has now been arrested, that Jamie posted was seen in a child *advertiser censored* picture from 11 years ago in the LA, California area.
I've read the news articles about the lady and have seen no connection to iowa. But I may have missed something.
Yours above is my understanding as well (said to clarify). However, it
does make me wonder about "out of State connection", the term used
early by the FBI. Were they checking the nationmal data bases on
abductions thinking there might be a connection to Evansdale via I380
etc, or something else ? The FBI's statement "out of State" has never
been clarified or used again ... that I know of.
Besides which, if the person who took out the restraining order agrees to or invites contact by the person served by the restraining order, it is invalidated in Iowa. No one will get arrested for violating a restraining order if both parties agree to or invite contact.
Welcome.
I've been there since July.

I disagree you need to read her full story and the tatoo's the boy in cedar falls saw on her wrist .

It could have been more or less random choice on their part -- bored and where else do you go in a town that small? and thinking they could be back in time -- and bad luck that there happened to be a child killer lurking by the lake that day. If you read accounts from that kind of killer, they often describe waiting in areas where they know there are children, just waiting for somebody to come along.
Do I think that's likely? Like every other theory, I can't see any way to rule it out based on the information we have.
You're right, it's Cedar Rapids. Thanks!
Yes! CR not Cedar Falls, Cape Town, or Katmandu !
