The Waterloo Police Department and Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in locating Terry Lee Kiefer DOB 2-25-91 in connection to a fire at the EconoLodge, 3350 University Avenue, on Saturday February 16th, 2012.
According to the Waterloo Police Department Megan Hemmer, age 24, and Kiefer were allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine in the hotel at the time of the fire.
On February 19th warrants were issued for Kiefer for Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine and Arson in the 2nd Degree. Kiefer also has a warrant for a Parole Violation. <snipped>

Police know where the children were before they were at the lake ... they were at home. The only reason to use dogs is to figure out where they went after they parked their bikes.

I thought Abben was quoted as saying that just because the bikes were found at the lake it didn't necessarily mean the girls were at the lake?

There is a storm coming and I was looking at road conditions and saw the live camera updates and thought....HMMMM...wonder if there are any cameras near Evansdale...low and behold!

I'm grasping at just about ANYTHING these days...:floorlaugh:

But....I need some help figuring this out. One article says the Cedar bridge was out due to flooding one year but was repaired in May 2011, but there was another bridge by the depot, I think that was under construction.

It's been thundersnowing and thundersleeting here near St. Louis and it's supposed to continue through at least midnight. Very severe and dangerous conditions outside.

Found out some interesting info in my research. I might need some help with this. The bike trail has a bridge that was under construction in July, so there is no way a cyclist could ride the distance from point A to point B without crossing that bridge. But they couldn't because the bridge was out.

Would you happen to have a link to the bridge construction?

I understand why they are keeping a zipped lip now, but after the case has been solved, then I would think it would be the public's right to know.

Thank you!! I cant believe I missed this in the news. And, ironically enough, I heard a call on the scanner today that the police went to the house looking for her. She "wasn't home" per a family member.
