I believe the perp has participated in searches, vigils, fundraisers, etc., and IMO he blends in well. I don't have any suspect in mind, this is just my general opinion.

Crews dragged the lake, walked through an island in the lake, and did at least two searches by air - including one using infrared sensors.

They also went door-to-door in the surrounding neighborhood.

You probably already have this aerial-photo-vw of 7Bridges Wildlife area which shows the little "drwy turnaround" and the (2) white sheets in the same photo!

I'm hoping that those of you who have printers which are currently working (grrh..) can print this photo out, along w/different mapvws and others photos of the area in order to define the exact location of bodies (or at least the location of the 2 white sheets we surmise to be body sites).

Thanks for sharing this happy-ending story. I wish every crime of this type could be intercepted like this. Every day LE has to deal with some slippery deviant. In the Dru Sjodin case, her killer, Alfonso Rodriguez, Jr was so unremorseful that he napped in a chair while LE searched his home for evidence. LE has a lot more patience than I would. I applaud them for their due diligence.

The bodies were found in the park on public property, if you look at the maps Otto has posted you can see exactly where the girls bodies were found as there is only one place in the area that the river bends and has a tributary heading in another direction. He has also posted several times the map that shows the park boundaries and where the private property adjoins.

There is a YouTube video of an elderly gentleman who hunts in the area, he took the cameraman way north of where the bodies were found, it was quite obvious they were in the wrong spot based in the location of the river, the fields, the parking area as they were walking. Even during the video one of the others mentioned that they thought he had the wrong spot. In the MSM pics it shows police tape where the bodies were found, I don't know if there is still some at seven bridges but I'd think there would be some sort of memorial. One of the locals intends to head out this spring and video the area.

There was much discussion on this topic several pages back. It might be helpful to read this thread in it's entirety and read the back and forth and the explanations given. Also reviewing the maps is super helpful.

Now, not only does a potential perp have the names of two young girls, he knows exactly what they look like. It is great that the girls are doing something to help remember Elizabeth and Lyric, but I don't think publishing their pictures and names were the smartest move in an area the predator might still be located. KNowing these girls' names gives bad guy a definite advantage. "If this person knows my name, is he really a stranger danger?" :banghead:

I highly suspect that the teenager arrested Mon. for making a bomb threat in Feb. against an area high school (or setting a fire at some time or another??) is the same person who made a bomb threat on BHC CT HSE on Mon. And, if so, is there any reason not to mention that in the reporting?

I do not suspect this teenager of having anything to do w/our little girls. I think what's really bothering me is the possibility that when our perp is finally arrested, the report will be as confusing as the link below, and we might not recognize what crime he's being arrested for. Gads...

I agree. It's confusing and if he is one in the same responsible for both calls, shouldn't the reporter say that. . . we're not getting the whole story. . . and being charged with arson is ? Shouldn't calling in bomb threats be more in the category of terroristic threat ?

There is no way to paddle boat from Myers lake to Seven Bridges.

There has been nothing from LE that indicates they ever identified the paddle boater.

If you look at google maps, there are 2 (IIRC) paddle boats that you can see on the shore of the lake at residences.

They actually did identify the paddle boater. I believe I had posted a link wayyyy back. They mentioned in a presser (during all the twitter updates) that LE stated the paddle boater did come forward. They obviously didn't identify to the public who it was, but they did come forward.

The general public would have hounded the land owner to no end and the lives of him and his family could have been put in danger.

The charges stem from events that occurred between Dec. 1, 2012, and his February arrest. He is subject to enhanced sentencing because of prior convictions.

I think we only have to look as far as the bicyclist and the lawn-watering guy and Mr. P and what happened to them when they came forward and were
publically identified to assume what might happen to the family that owned the land where the girls were found (assuming it is privately-owned). I think only 8 people went to the meeting because they were scared of being shown on TV and identified and then being suspected of being involved in the girls' murders. I think neighbors are looking at neighbors in Evansdale and wondering if their neighbor could be the killer. FBI announced that the killer is "someone who lives among you." Good way to traumatize a community. You only have to watch a few of the detective shows where a child is killed in a community where everyone starts suspecting everyone else! :moo:

Yes, B4igo... really good photo and my fave of all the photos which just show 1/2 of the 7bridges scene.

This photo is so much lighter/brighter than any others and makes the water stand out beautifully from the land.

I so wish that the same media source had included a photo of the "sheet" 1/2 of the scene because imo that's the 1/2 of the scene that most needs some "light" shed on it... so that we would have one that makes any water nearby stand out from sand, dead grass, etc.
