Do any of the locals remember if there is a "House for Sale" sign on the lawn?

It has been for sale for awhile now, had a sign two days ago.

Now the media had re-worded the article from earlier. Clearly the first article stated "he was suffering from drug abuse since the girls went missing and couldn't eat or sleep."

I do not like this statement in that article: he is very close to his nieces, considering them his "prized possessions."

Why did Granny feel the need to tell the newspaper that he didn't overdose on weed, meth, or cocaine? Maybe he was arrested for these substances in the past?

So what is left? Prescription drugs, herion, what else?

EWELL - The human remains found at Little Wall Lake on Thursday may be those of a Hamilton County man who was reported missing on Nov. 1, 2007.

Local campers found human bones and clothing earlier in the day, and a green Buick with Hamilton County license plates was pulled from the waters later Thursday. Eyewitness reports indicate that a man who is allegedly related to Virgil L. Wilcox ran onto the jetty at the northwest corner of the lake to talk to law enforcement officials as the car was being removed.

Reading through an old article. This sentence jumped out at me:
An FBI K-9 unit first smelled the different family members and then articles of the girls clothes and belongings. The family said the goal was to separate their smell from the girls', since they too had spent time searching that area.

I was under the impression that the family didn't actually go around the trail but only stated that they were at the parking area and asked some random people....

Did JC refer to the girls as "prized possessions" or is that just grandmas quote because that is not normal at all, no matter who said it. But it would be concerning if he ever used that terminology.

They did but after LE arrived and found the bikes and no girls the family and pretty much the whole community went searching.

I read that they think it is the body of a man who's been missing for several years.

Concerning "not eating or sleeping", I am reminded of the Susan Smith case (her sons were drowned) and how in her initial pleas for their return- she said "I can't eat,I can't sleep. "At that moment,I thought who even thinks of such things at a time like that, much less state the obvious , seemed very self-centred and more like a love-lorn fool...jmo

I take Loritab 10/500 and it makes me very tired.

Now if I take prednisone, I am wired!

This does happens. Children are also given away or sold to settle drug debts. Look up Shaniya Davis case here on Websleuths. Was never so heart broken in my life as when I found out what happened to this precious baby.

If druggies will give away/sell children for drugs there is absolutely nothing that would stop them from using them for deliveries. These are only the ones we know about and there are a ton more we don't even hear about.

ITA, look at gangs that recruit young kids.

When I posted about that he was not able to "sleep or eat", it was not about the fact that he could "sleep or eat". It was about drugs, that may have been the cause of not being able to "sleep or eat".

I can't sleep or eat either when a disaster happens in my life.
