There are way too many motives to list...I think if the "motive" is narrowed down, then the girls might be found!

I was assuming one of two main motives in this case.

1. Sexual assault. Meaning it could have been a random perp or a stalker etc.

2. Revenge Kidnapping, connected with the criminal history mess.

But if I look at her, I see no real motives. Her daughter is the same age, FGS.
I just can't see it or accept it I suppose.

MOO...Returned to the lake to "look", which would have given them an alibi for having their scent or trackable evidence at the lake from being there earlier.

Who was last known person(s) to see the girls?
Who went to the lake to search for the girls before anyone else?
Who had the ability to place the bikes at the lake without being noticed?
Who had to leave and "run an errand" in the midst of the search?
Who has had the most inconsistent stories of what happened?
Who has done most of the talking (and a lot of it) and interviews?
Who shared indirect family connection to both girls without being a parent?
Who was knowledeable with the family's schedules?
Who had plenty of time and opportunity without fear of getting caught?

Just going through the basics here. Nothing too complicated or out there, like CSI stuff. "Criminal Minds"?, maybe! :jail:

You and I are connecting the dots the same way.

I looked on Iowa sex offender registry and found a picture of the man I saw at the lake yesterday and he lives 2.51 miles from Meyers lake. I emailed the sheriff his license number.

I'm so glad you reported this, aren't you!

I am with you katydid, having trouble connecting those dots as well. Too stretchy for me right now.

This will seem O/T but it's not quite...more like, a peak at my train of thought..

Anyone ever see that made for tv movie (based on a true story they say) called Her Desperate Choice? It starred Faith Ford.

After watching the FBI lady (sorry her name escapes me right now in all my confusion). She said they have physical evidence leading them to believe the girls are alive.

Ok, MOO, what if it is a sex trafficking ring? Maybe they are aware of some group or person taking kids? .IDK this is so disheartening, I just want those girls found NOW. :please:

I just looked it up. A photographer won the Pulitizer Prize for taking pictures of women and children who go through the underground.

1998 Allan Detrich of Block News Alliance: For his revealing photographic account of a secret interstate network of individuals who aid parents and children fleeing the threat of sexual abuse. (Moved by the jury from the Spot News Photography category.)

I don't understand why Misty made it sound like it was Lyric's cell phone then. She said on NG that her daughter" had a cell but left it at her Grandmas.'

Why didnt she just say she didnt have one or say she used her Grandma's?

Katydid, I was wrong. Apparently I heard what NG said and NOT what Misty said :what: That is a frightening self realization for me....listening to NG and planting that in my head as truth. eeek

Wonder what the motive would be here?
I follow what you're thinking though...
