IA IA - Erin Pospisil, 15, Cedar Rapids, 3 June 2001

Kills me to see this case here as I know Erin's family. She's been gone 10 years now, hard to believe. Her step-mom is fantastic and has done a lot to keep Erin in the news and to help others out. IF an Amber Alert had gone out there may have been a different outcome, but the Police felt she was a runaway, which is why they wouldn't get involved sooner than they did. It's so sad.

Erin's family did a Sky Lantern release on the 10th anniversary of her going missing. Since I wasn't there, I told her Mom I would release balloons in her honor, so my son and I did just that. 10 Balloons went up w/ Erins info attached. I think of her often, especially when there is a successful find and it's not her.

I wanted to share the updated flyer for Erin. I know that it appears in the mail I receive, but in the Community there are more people that can help spread the word.

Yes, I'm passionate about Erin, her family needs to know where she is It's hard to believe she's 25 now. I've known her step-mom since right after she disappeared.

Would like to know more about her brother's friend who gave her a ride to her friend's house. I think I read her mom/family is also on WS. She needs to be found.

Wow what an incredibly sad story! Did LE track down all vehicles with that make and model? Did the friend get checked out?

What is the family's thinking about the sighting of her a year later? It sounded from the mother's story in the OP they think it was legit, so where is Erin?

How does this only have 2 pages.

Erin lived in Cedar Rapids and was local to me. She disappeared the summer after I graduated high school. Nothing about Erin was EVER on the media here! There was not even an Operation Quickfind which is something done often when kids around here go missing. LE assumed that since Erin got into that car on her own that she would return on her own.
