He’ll have a lawyer when this all blows over and a big payday awaits him.
I think I would get an attorney to stop the harassment of the media and have someone looking out for my best interest while LE was repeatedly questioning me. He's (according to him) giving LE carte blanche going thru his property, saying they won't find anything. People know where he lives and consider him a suspect. Anything could happen to him or his property. I would absolutely stop giving interviews and can't figure out why he gave even one in the first place, especially with his background.

The father of missing Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts warned Tuesday that whoever she may be with should not “escalate this any further,” as the reward for information leading to her safe return has swelled to more than $270,000.
Mollie Tibbetts' father warns possible abductor not to 'escalate this any further'

Still trying to catch up.
I haven't sleuthed Mollie's father or family in any way. But, due to the large reward amount and Mr. Tibbett's ability to be here for weeks on end away from his job I am curious if the perp could be known to him?
Perhaps this is a crime against Mollie to get at Mollie's father or a for ransom situation.
She could have met someone at the father's wedding. I wonder if the California side of the family has enemies.

The time frame is at least semi narrowed down, from last sighting of her jogging near 7:30pm on 7/18 to no response to text from brother around 7:30am 7/19. That means it was either likely while jogging or from the house. IMOO

24 hours. Lots of time spread. They have to be using Fitbit info.

Lawyer sites will tell you never to take a polygraph even if you’re innocent. Multiple reasons for that. He allowed everything else except that, which seems pretty cooperative. I wouldn’t write him off, per my previous posts, but it’s never wise to take a polygraph from what I have researched.

Since he's got a history with the criminal justice system it certainly makes sense that he would be wary about a polygraph. So you're right that that may not indicate anything.

But what's weird is he's also talking to LE a lot. It is odd to me that he may know enough to feel taking a polygraph is unwise but talking to LE without a lawyer is okay.

And talking to the media.

Of course maybe he isn't talking. Do we know if he is? Per terms of probation and parole they may have the right to search him and his things and property without a warrant. So they could just be going there to do that. And thereby putting pressure on him.

Has the fact that mollie might of needed her contacts to go jogging been discussed?
I don't think Mollie needs eye correction to go jogging. She is most likely nearsighted, as opined by optician post, and also boyfriends Mum who cited on first day that she needed them to drive. (No other report collaborates this early statement or that Mollie "can't see/blind without them"..). I believe it's more likely that Mollie was wearing her contacts when she left BF house, and probably left her eyeglasses behind.

I am not sure if it is worse to be interviewed in front of a camera to be analyzed or take a polygraph. Either way, they are trying to clear him when many methods it seems.

The report early on is they were left behind. The point is you dont jog blind

I don't believe LE confirmed she was doing homework, the neighbor who reported seeing her on her run said that is what they told him.

I thought the dad had confirmed that....??

I just watched a clip from HLN(?) The dad is saying....there was no sign of foul play. He does not suspect anyone stalked her, he thinks someone mistook her kindness for something more.

So with the dad flapping his lips, what do we think of that? The dad saying more than LE? Could he be getting desperate for answers?

At this point, it seems like she knew the person, went for a ride with them and they possibly thought she was interested and if she rejected them then things went south?

I'm just starting to follow this missing person case so please forgive me if I am missing information. I have a few questions.
Why and where did Mollie and her brother come from on the July 18th drop off at the bf's house?
Where exactly does Mollie work? How does she normally get to work? The area appears very rural and they said her car was at her mothers'. If someone gave Mollie a ride to work, how come we haven't heard anything from her ride?

Mollie's father feels that someone has her that they may have misunderstood the nature of the relationship. Did her phone records show that she was talking to someone? Do they think she showed kindness to the pig farmer and that is why they are questioning him?

Sorry if that is too many questions or info already covered here.

Mollie, apparently, lives there. So, "babysitting the dogs" , imo, was a bit misleading. (If you live there, one can hardly call it 'dog sitting'.) Perhaps they were reluctant to state that Mollie lived with her boyfriend
I don't think Mollie lived there actually, but stayed between there and her mother's home while home for the summer from college. My point really was if she stated anything on her SM about her being the sole caretaker of the dogs for a few days.

I need to wear contacts to see, I would and could leave my home without almost anything I own, except my contacts. This sticks out like a sore thumb to me that she left without them. Unless she had a backup pair that no one knows about, I cannot see her leaving freely without them.

I don’t know. Everybody has those disposable contacts these days. Even if she had a current pair in a plastic container with solution in it, she could have pulled out a fresh pair without throwing out the old ones. Or she could have that kind where you wear them for a week 24/7 and then have all her subsequent pairs. The fact she had contacts in the house does not mean she wasn’t actually wearing a pair.

I think her dad is just reaching out to anyone who might be keeping her, hoping for the best case scenario at this point.

Maybe with his background he has felt screwed by lawyers and the court system and wants nothing to do with lawyers?

So it's your hope that they find her body, rather then find her alive? For Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, Michelle Knight, Jaycee Lee Dugard, Natascha Maria Kampusch, Elizabeth Smart , Katie Beers, Colleen Stan, Steven Stayner, Timothy White, and many others not finding their bodies was a very good thing.

Wow. No, it's my belief, with Heather's case as one tragic example, that the absence of a body doesn't in and of itself point to being alive. I referenced her case to make the point that prolonged absence in a missing person case is usually not a good sign. I'm not sure how my post could be interpreted to mean I hope Mollie is dead vs alive.

Heather's family has suffered for years now over what became of their daughter, and in her case it's even known who caused her disappearance. But no Heather and no funeral and no peace and no justice. So it seems to me that rather than no body is a good thing, missing is always a bad thing in one way or another, and statistically, missing young women are not usually women who come home alive or sometimes at all.

Depends what her prescription was for contacts.

REGISTERED guns vs actual??? plus you don't have to register shotguns and rifles.

The stats are from surveys. All gun owners, not just registered guns. Only in a few Western and Southern states is gun ownership over 50%. No where in the US is gun ownership 80%.
