Just wondering, but are all threads shut down overnight, or just this one because of number of people following? Admittedly, it has been a while since I followed a case as closely as I am this one, but I don't recall any other threads I have ever followed being closed to posting overnight. Is this new, or am I just having a senior moment? Please let today be the day we find Mollie!
I think it might be because of the constant TOS violations. Mods have to be able to sleep. Lol. Plus, there’s rarely anything new overnight.

Yeah, I kinda assumed as much. With as often as it has been closed during the day for violations, one can only wonder what would get posted overnight, with no one to keep an eye on things.

Which is why I mentioned "the forbidden topic". It's something the feds would investigate. The FBI and DCI doesn't just show up unless it involves something bigger than just a missing person.

It was never a "forbidden topic". It has always been allowed to be brought up as a possibility. It was discouraged turning Mollie's thread into a "human trafficking" thread with endless stats, research etc. making the thread unwieldy. There is an area of the forum designated specifically for human trafficking research. Molly does not fit the profile of a sex trafficking victim and I said we could delve into it deeper if there was a connection made in MSM to her case.

I also am currently thinking MT may have been taken by someone she did not know while out walking or running but that it happened the night of the 18. My reasons for not thinking it happened early on the 19 are that I don't think she would have gone to bed wearing her sweaty running clothes from the night before, nor put those same clothes back on in the morning. As far as we know, those clothes haven't been found, so she would have been wearing them. If it was raining (and possibly chilly too), I don't know that she would have set out in just a sports bra.

Also if it was raining, would she have worn her phone in the armband that we believe is missing too? I don't typically run in the rain but if I was setting out in the rain, I would personally make sure my phone was tucked away somewhere it would definitely not get wet at all. Just my thoughts

As far as I know, it hasn’t been verified one way or another.

Ok, because that could really change things.
We think her exercise clothing is gone and last see outfit wasn't a red shirt.
If she was taken while running, why has HER red shirt been found?

Just another piece in a complicated puzzle

Hi Steve! We have closed fast moving threads over night before. We are getting over 60 alerts an hour so you can imagine what a moderator would wake up to. I need more coffee to be able to recall examples of cases that were closed over night lol.

Don't want to violate TOS, but my theory has changed a bit after researching off this site last night.
It has all become much clearer to me. I think it was someone she knew, but not well. Like someone else said on here many threads back...there is much that we can't discuss (and rightly so) but if you do a little digging...you will get some light bulb moments. <modsnipped>

I have been trying to catch up for weeks, twenty pages to go to catch up, (unless I get there and it says there's a new thread.) No one post another word til I get there.

Good luck with that. I stopped posting simply because there were to many posts coming in at one time.

Perhaps Monday LE will give the public something substantial. It’s certainly well within the procedure manuals not to divulge a thing. And perhaps they’re simply to busy searching. It will be interesting to see. If my daughter were missing I’d certainly want every available agency involved.

I do wonder if the FBI appeared in the scene so fast and heavy was due to similarities of MT Disappearance to more disappearances across the Midwest or the I 80 corridor?? That fact would clearly meet the criteria to call them in if this is viewed as a “danger to the public”. Their website identifies serial killers working major highways around the USA. several are considered “active”.

You, and all the mods, definitely have my thanks and appreciation for all that you do. I have been a member here for about 6 years, and lurked for about 3 years before joining, so I have been around a while, but I come and go. At times, I feel the need to back away for a little while after a particularly difficult case...Micky Shunick, Sierra LaMar, Morgan Harrington and Hannah Graham, Holly Bobo, Kelli Bordeaux, who made me join, and poor Brittanee Drexel, who brought me here the first time, as a lurker. I truly admire those of you who stay, day after day, year round, monitoring this site so that it doesn't become a site of rumors and gossip and baseless accusations. Thanks again for all that you do!

Thinking outside the box or going out on a limb... a different idea...

First let me tell you about Micah True, ultra-marathon runner who for years ran long distance races of 100 miles. He was out on a simple 12 mile run (alone) where it appeared he simply sat down beside a creek. He died of an undiagnosed heart problem, an irregular heartbeat during exertion.

Might this have happened to M? Being a runner and appearing physically fit does not show what's happening inside. Did she sense a problem, stop somewhere off a road, and expire? One would think buzzard would have located a body or cadaver dogs, but maybe not.

Just another idea because the others aren't working...

I think it was <modsnipped> someone she was comfortable with. I still want to know about the fair workers. Each one must be alibied!

Thank you to the peeps who picked up that the dessert was for Friday. I knew that and it was carelessness on my part to suggest she was making it on the night she disappeared. Put it down to exhaustion from staying up until 2-3am Oz time trying to keep up with the thread.

While I'm here I'll also add that she probably would have fed the dogs before leaving for her mom's circa 7.30.

Yes. I went towards a snakebite, or animal encounter, but her remains should have been found by now.
