I'm not a mod but suspect that when discussion of a tweet starts to cross the line into questioning behavior/actions of family members, it is off limits as family members are victims unless named as POI by LE.

Anything and everything on the victims social media has always been on the table, at least in the cases I’ve followed. So why would this case be different? Maybe we can get a mod to confirm one way or the other.

As I said before, it's not the fact the FBI is involved. That happens a lot. It's the massive presence. Over 30 agents on one missing persons case? Really?

This does seem excessive. Wow.

I noticed that, too. However, even if they were left unattended for 24 hours (guessing at longest possible time frame) in the house, they'd probably be fine by now anyway, right?

I don’t think they meant it was put ON the pig, just that they disposed of the Fitbit on the property somewhere. But now I can’t stop thinking of a pig wearing a Fitbit.

Lol I don’t know why this cracked me up. This health conscience pig getting in it’s steps for the day. Anyway I know this came through close to the Fitbit data coming through but it seems the pig farm was a “tip” everywhere I see and the Fitbit data wasn’t used. Anybody see where the Fitbit was what led them to the pig farm?

Mollie's family likely contacted many of her closest friends to see when they last talked to Mollie on Wed July 18th. I know I'd call all my kids' friends and find out when they last talked to my child.

I'll guess that the FBI found out from Univ of Iowa that Mollie was on the computer doing homework on Wed. Since Molly didn't get home until 5:30 pm, she'd had to do her homework that evening.

An agent then told something vague to the family about Mollie doing homework on Wed.

Some of the family members knew Mollie wasn't doing homework at her job or on the computer from 5:30-7:30 because her friends had told them she was online with them goofing off between 5:30-7:30pm.

Therefore, if Mollie was chatting with friends between 5:30-7:30 pm, she likely wasn't doing homework.

So her family SPECULATES that she must have logged into her Univ of Iowa class at another time that day which had to have been after she returned from running.

Was she doing an online or blended course? If so, there's probably an online discussion component. If that's the homework she was doing, then it's very easy to be chatting with friends at the same time. Point being that just because she was chatting with friends, it doesn't mean she wasn't doing something related to course requirements at the same time.

With that said. I think the pig farm search was when she was last seen jogging.

RSBM. Are you saying you think she was jogging toward/past the pig farm? If so I highly doubt it. My house is downwind of one and the smell is horrible.

LE absoloutely knows if she accessed her laptop and at what time.

Her phone would also connect to the router so they would know the time for that

Either they don't know what time she was jogging, haven't processed the digital forensics or are trying to hide their hand imo

Well, not necessarily. They can absolutely tell what time her laptop was on and whether the homework file was edited at that time, and when it and her phone were connected to the router, as you say. But they can't tell whether she herself was the person at the computer or using the cell phone.

They may only being overly precise about the details. But in a case where a person is missing like this, it's important to be precise.

I think they were saying that they searched the pig farms thinking that she was taken while jogging and then taken away. If they think she made it back home then the poster is thinking LE would search more at the house location. But i could be wrong

Also since it's about 12 miles or so away... doesn't sound like she's quite that much of a distance runner.

It appears the "30 agents" number is the DCI agents working on the case, not FBI agents. So it's not as much as I thought it was.
