So that’s interesting since it seems such a weird reason to be pulled over. Twice! Is this LE toying with him again. Sending a message that they are also following too close? It’s just strange.
Maybe it is sign of how freaked out he was- even if not admitting to Dad- or maybe he did… Possibly LE was checking in on them, but possibly cars being harassed on the road were calling in complaints of crazy driving. Also, is it possible that if they were tracking him, that they had bugged the car for sound, and he was flipping out on Dad —> erratic driving? All is IMOO

It's anyone's guess, IMO. I've personally been wondering if he connected with one of them while he lived in PA and moved to WA to be closer to her. Again, as out-of-left-field as this entire case has been, just about anything is possible.
I hate thinking this. But i have wondered for days if he knew or dated one of the survivors. NOT the victims but the survivors. Time will tell.

I wonder if the PA registration was going to expire before his departure to PA for the holidays. WA license tabs are expensive, but if you replace them with those from another state during the license period, I believe you can get a refund of the unexpired pro-rata share of at least some of the fees/taxes.
As an out of state student he was not required to register the Elantra in Washington.
His parents could have sent him the new PA tag if it was up for renewal.
He has no common sense.

Bet he feels super important right now. Evacuated the airport for him and all.

I suppose he could feel omnipotent but, then again, didn't he have a govt cheese sandwich for lunch?

I am so confused by my thoughts on his possible motives. It truly seems as though he intended to get caught. He knew going into that House that his chances, on average, were 50/50. If so, why would this guy want to experience prison life? Does he possess a conniving personality?

It's amazing that the D has already sent a reconstruction team to the house. His parents paid for that bill, according to the People article. He's basically ruining his parents' golden years.

I was thinking how strange it is that BK had no social media accts. Then I thought maybe he had an acct but used a different name. I wonder if he had an online persona that he used to chat or friend the victims, kind of like a catfish but for the purposes of getting to know them better.
He strikes me as a burner account type. Voyeur.

Just some thoughts...

He is new to the spotlight and still getting over the shock of being arrested, dealing with feelings for loved ones, the fact he knows he going to prison for life etc. We wont be seeing him for quite a while as the trial wont begin for months. When he goes to trial I believe he be adjusted to life behind bars and knowing it is his new home for life. i think he will be fully focused on his defense and also more aware of how he is perceived by the public. The worst thing you can do to a person like this is make them look stupid. That is why I believe he will fight this and never admit his guilt.Would not be surprised if he releases his own lengthy statement claiming innocence and faulty evidence to the public at some point.I am curious to see what his demeanor will be at trial when damaging evidence is presented.Wil he sit stone faced or react angrily towards his lawyers Probably scribble down notes the entire trial like Amber Heard.
IMO He will take the stand..because he is smarter then everyone else in he room and he thinks he can fool them.
In the end hes going to death row .

At some point soon, BK's apartment will have to be cleaned out. Moving company? Hire someone to move it to storage for awhile? Let it go? A family member flies/drives out to deal with it? JMHO
If it were me in jail, I would want my family to pack and move my things. I would also want a copy of the inventory LE created of what they removed when they executed their search warrant. Depending on how much I had, put it in storage until it could be shipped back to the family home. I would not want some strangers packing my things because I wouldn't want any of them to be sold on ebay. Possibly that apartment can be locked until disposition can be arranged.

The money?
I have a question is the legal field like medicine. I mean specialists in medicine make more than say a family practice doctor, Is it the same for attorneys? Corporate more than well say public defenders? If that is the case then family practice doctors and public defenders have a calling. JMO

I'm sure that there will be, if not already have been, a warrant authorized for search of his university accommodation. Once it's been dealt with by LE, I'm sure it will be packed up by family or members of the university housing staff. It certainly will be looked at by LE beforehand though I'm not sure if they'd issue search warrants with him out of state. IMO and open to correction
They searched it the day he was arrested. May be holding it still, who knows.

IIRC, there was an LE officer (not necessarily working on the case in an official capacity) or an ex-LE officer (see article below) who said BK did not have any vehicle registered in his name at the time of the murders (Nov. 13 2022), which made it all that much harder for LE to track him down as the "driver" of a white Elantra when his name was not on any paperwork for the car, it was registered and owned (title) by his mother in another state (PA).

Then, 5 days after the murders, he got WA plates & presumably registered it in his name. Not sure about the title. Then he drove car with WA plates back to PA.

One possible reason (speculation) he changed the plates then was because PA plates on a white Elantra might have been seen and would stick out more for LE to look into, so he changed to WA plates to blend in more while he was still around attending classes after the murders before leaving for the holidays. JMOO

Article about him not having a vehicle registered in his name at the time of the murders:

Idaho murder suspect Bryan Kohberger has no criminal history, no car registered in own name

MOO
Wow, if correct he might not be that bright. I am sure that LE would be looking mostly at Idaho and WA plates. It appears that they have always considered Pullman in the same mix with Moscow.

Maybe his thought process was that they had already obtained the WA data and changing them afterwards would not be noted.

I know a lot of males (especially) who aren’t into social media. Sometimes they’ll have accounts for checking things out, but they don’t post anything.

Moscow suspect Bryan Kohberger changed title of Hyundai Elantra five days after murders

According to a public records request, Kohberger transferred a Pennsylvania title to a Washington title on Nov. 18.

WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — Bryan C. Kohberger, a suspect in the murders of four University of Idaho students, changed his title of his white 2015 Hyundai Elantra five days after the stabbings took place.
According to a public records request filed by KTVB, Kohberger, 28, transferred the title of the Elantra from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which was registered on April 20, 2022, to Whitman County, Washington, on Nov. 18, 2022. Registering a vehicle in another state requires new plates.

And this might also explain "License plate unknown" at the time of LE's request for information on the Elantra. Even if they wanted to give that information, LE likely didn't know which plates he was using if he got a set when he went in. When I purchased a vehicle in one state and drove home to my own state, I got new license plates but didn't have to give back the ones I took off. (this may vary by state). I still have those original plates from a different state that came with my car (long since expired). JMO.

If the time stamps are accurate, it's not minutes, its hours..10:45 to 3:50? How long does it take to traverse the state of Indiana?

1122 King St. is a private residence leased (rented) to the victims. BK's residence in Pullman, WA is campus housing for graduate students and their families.

Yes that’s what I thought! I saw that the first stop at 10:45 occurred at mile marker 107 on I70. Looked into it and found the location, IN I70 Greenfield Rest Area, and checked the directions from there to the OH state border, because I can’t find the exact location of the second stop and it’s a 46 minute drive. Additionally, the first officer was a Hancock County cop and the rest area is in Hancock County.

It depends if he’d chosen to formally relocate (i.e. file his tax return in Washington instead of PA). Furthermore, we don’t know that he was living with his parents in PA before moving to Washington. Maybe he was renting an apartment there. If that were the case, once he left that apartment for his new university, he likely would have formally relocated.
