DM heard commotion upstairs first. Then she heard a women's voice, then she heard crying, then she heard a man's voice and then she saw a male leave the residence. I didn't read that she heard the "thud" or the "dog barking", right?

I'm not sure what that 1112 residence camera recorded at 4:17am. Possibly it was him running from the residence, maybe he was the one whimpering, a different dog, car door, etc.

But DM heard 4 different much quieter interactions that obviously weren't detected by the neighbor's camera. If she didn't hear or notice the thud or the dog, I don't understand how that could have been from within the house. I'm not saying the sounds aren't related the crime. I'm just saying it makes more sense that they were outside rather than inside. JMHO.

I was thinking about this today and my guess is the PCA just does not include a full account of what DM heard. Perhaps to keep it short and not all based on DM's account since some of the items can be forensically confirmed with video/audio. IMO she may have heard quite a bit more than the PCA reveals, she was wide awake and listening closely.

I thought the same, personally whenever typing something important I read it once or twice before sending, though it was so many pages it’s easy to overlook.

I also noticed yesterday (I think?) a court document was stamped with the time - 8:13am but it was only 8am Moscow time when it was posted on Twitter. Got me wondering if Moscow ever goes with daylight savings (assuming not since it’s PT?) and if whatever they use to stamp it was set with that timing…

As this was discussed in way earlier threads for this case, it was stated that Idaho is on 2 different time zones.

I think E was in bed, and probably asleep. Even with a ka-bar knife, an assault on an upright male of similar size would have been chaotic and loud. The "playing with Murphy" sounds from above are the only physical activity sounds reported in the PCA by DM.

Around 4:04 a.m., he was observed on Queen and King roads 4-5 times on the night of the murder. That could mean that he was checking both Xana's front bedroom and Madison's back bedroom. He was there 12 times prior to the murders. He should have noticed the camera on the neighbour's front porch.


"Suspect Vehicle 1 can be seen entering the area a fourth time at approximately 4:04 a.m. It can be seen driving eastbound on King Road, stopping and turning around in front of 500 Queen Road #52 and then driving back westbound on King Road. When Suspect Vehicle 1 is in front of the King Road Residence, it appeared to unsuccessfully attempt to park or turn around in the road. The vehicle then continued to the intersection of Queen Road and King Road where it can be seen completing a three-point tum and then driving eastbound again down Queen Road.

Suspect Vehicle 1 is next seen departing the area of the King Road Residence at approximately 4:20 a.m. at a high rate of speed. Suspect Vehicle I is next observed traveling southbound on Walenta Drive."

Do you have a source for the tenant #6 in second floor bedroom? I didn't think it was ever confirmed tenant 6 actually lived there, I think the 6th room was the fairly empty basement room you can see in one of the cop videos when they peer in through open curtains

Would be weird for DM to move rooms in her own house , I think she always had her 2nd floor bedroom

My daughters traded rooms a couple of times in their teens and younger college years. Sometimes they slept in the same room if they were getting along. I don't know if boys tend to care that much, but my girls enjoyed trading places. I don't think it's uncommon. MOO

Since the AA released, it seems that tenant #6 moved out of a bedroom on the first floor and the witness, DM, had a bedroom on the 2nd floor all along.

That's an interesting shift in what is released to the public.

As far as K's injuries being different from M's. I think M was likely attacked first, waking K up.

Injuries would be different to a prone (asleep) person than on someone awake, thrashing about and trying to defend themselves.

Driving your car around with your phone where bad things happen before, during or after isn’t a crime. The have to prove he did this. IMO with his background in criminology forensics can be disposed of creating reasonable doubt.

I guess I'm just wondering if there's additional electronic forensic evidence to nail him down even further than the cell phone pings. The arrest affidavit sure seems thorough & we know that's certainly not everything, but more than enough to secure an arrest. Our family uses LIfe360 and it's especially helpful to monitor travel and confirm someone's arrived safely without waiting on texts or confirmation. It's helpful for short distance and long distance travel in various ways. Thinking maybe BK's family used something like this and how it would be more evidence beyond a reasonable doubt of his location.

This. Right. Here. Hon, I was a party animal. My house and about two others were the houses to be at when it was goin' DOWN. Some nights there would be people sleepin' over and I'd wake up the next day and wonder who is THAT?! These kids are tame in comparison. I can still turn it on when I get a chance. I'd have thought one of my bunch had drug home a one-nighter, and let them see themselves out. He's just still masking (in this era) and was just leaving. He probably did spook her, she wasn't expecting to see him there.

I have a firm feeling that the back slider off the kitchen was the main entry/exit point and that area around the kitchen, was a hangout area. It's where all the fun would be happening. Probably why D moved up to that floor. Easy access to everything.

I do believe he was after X and M (the two who worked together at The Greek).

D was awakened at 4:00
At 4:12 X is on her phone.
She heard someone, and it could have been X, (as the Exhibit A Statement reads), say; there's someone here. What if she then walked toward the kitchen, b/c she'd just ordered food? Could it be the driver returning? She meets BK in the hall.
D then hears crying from X's room and a male voice saying, It's ok, I'm going to help you. X is found in the small area by the bathroom and her bedroom.

At 4:17 the home, which has the audio capture was stated as being very close. Less than 50'. The audio picks up barking, a whimper, and a thud. I believe this to be cuddle bug Murphy, who barked at BK, and then was whimpering from being kicked/grabbed/hurt somehow, and tossed into the other room. BK was not there to kill Murphy.

BK was also caught meticulously cleaning his car interior at his parents home too. Would love to see what evidence LE got from that, and the neighbor’s trash bin.

Me too. Very very hopeful. So many specific techniques designed to detect forensic DNA. It'll be there, in the car. No way he stripped naked in the parking lot of 1122 King Rd and stuffed things into plastic bags properly (so as not to contaminate the outside of those bags, worrying about the sheath, and the speed of his escape. He likely was still wearing his killer costume when he got into the car. IMO.

Definitely somewhere in his car or his apartment! He did have weeks to clean but he was moving from a bloody crime scene to his car to his apartment all that morning. Then he was back in his car only a few hours later to go back to the Moscow area. Then he had to dispose of the clothes, shoes, mask, knife. Too many opportunities to transfer DNA.

I think Gavin DeBecker describes this phenomena through several examples in his book The Gift of Fear. He gives examples of how people's instinct tells them something is wrong or dangerous but they have been socialized not to trust their instincts. For example, you're a woman, and at the end of the day in a building that's mostly empty, the elevator arrives at your floor and the door opens. It's a large man you don't know and you feel uneasy. Do you get into that elevator--a steel, soundproof box, or do you wait for another elevator or someone to go with you? Most people get into the elevator because we are socialized to be polite.

IMO, yes- an awesome book-it’s all about intuition.
