True, but those photos are of high quality, which leads me to believe it was some paparazzi type of photographer with an expensive camera.

All those photos are from the Daily Mail. Look on the actual photos, bottom left corner, it says Daily Mail. The DM is notorious for taking the most photos of any paper I know of.

I really think he had to have some source of light. Either he turned on the wall switches, which I kind of think is the least likely, or he had a flashlight, which is also sort of unlikely because it would mean he had to hold it. But--he could have had one of those forehead strap-on lights that turn on/off just by touching a button on the band. My husband has one. One of those wouldn't replace a whole-room light since the light moves when your head moves, but I think it's the most likely option for BK.

MOO, I don't think he'd be to go into a house he didn't know (or, did he know it?) and bumble around in the dark. Even if someone has a nightlight, and I don't know if the average young adult would want one, it still doesn't illuminate all areas, and if he didn't know where the furniture was, he could have been running into it.

He had to have a light of some sort, I'd think. And, I think turning on the house lights would be too risky for a coward who wants to kill innocent people by surprise.
IMO he had one main victim and had watched through windows previously. He new the bedroom and had watched to see where stairs went.

As far as the lighting issue goes, I often get up on the middle of the night and wander around the house without turning on lights. There is typically enough ambient light from things like street lights, digital oven clock, my cell phone, etc... I also remember seeing twinkle lights and neon signs around the house and not sure some of those might not have been left on as well.

With respect, I know we are all on pins and needles looking for any info we can, but this seems to be such an invasion of privacy. The poor man is just trying to clean up the mess from his house on the worst night of his life and camera people are hiding in the bushes taking pictures. He probably can't afford to even hire someone to do it, or can't find someone willing to come out to that address. I know I am a ninny, but I often have sympathy for the innocent families of killers as well, unless they are somehow shown to be involved.
You aren't a ninny for feeling sympathy for someone who has been victimized by this selfish killer. They've already been through the ringer with him over the addiction issues and just as they probably thought he was past all that self-destruction, he's arrested at home, with the police breaking doors and windows because they are after someone who committed mass murder. (The safest thing for the family in this case was probably a no-knock warrant so sonny boy couldn't commit another crime on the way out). I feel for them too.

No headlight was mentioned in his description by a witness.

Kind of disgusting taking these picture for headlines.

Sister of murdered Idaho student shares relief after suspect's arrest

"... Alivea (pictured left) said in the interview Sunday night how her and her family had 'presumed innocence' until they read a damning affidavit released late last week, which details how police in Moscow, Idaho were able to track down Kohberger. She told Senior National Correspondent Brian Entin how she now thinks Moscow Police have developed a solid case against the suspected killer. 'I was able to kind of read that and process that, and then you not only have a name and a face, but the beginnings of a case against him,' Alivea said. She added: 'The relief that we all felt at having a suspect in custody, it was like, I can't even describe, it was like the weight of the world's been lifted off our shoulders.'

But when reading the affidavit describing the days and weeks leading up to her sister's untimely death, Alivea (pictured right) said she could not help but remember the text conversations she had with her sister that day and how normal everything seemed. 'To be honest, think that was the hardest part of this was to sit back and look at the totality of this,' she said. 'When my sister was texting me about a new egg bites recipe, he was planning his next visit to the home, and that's really difficult. It's really difficult not to do more, not to have known more, but it's just the first step. A lot more evidence will come out, and I'm confident Moscow Police Department [and] Idaho State Police have the right person, and I thank them from the very bottom of my heart.'"

Probably the group called the him/perp a lot of unflattering names, as well as ugly mental diagnosis.
I think he was silent because he was more interested in what everyone else was saying and thinking. He already knew what he would say so there was no point in his speaking. I think he treated the class sessions as an oral survey and made mental notes of the responses.
jmo

Give him a break, he may have been a little preoccupied
That makes sense. Cop gives him a warning for the moving violation and gives him a citation for not wearing a seat belt. JMO.
"You are not the boss of me." See also getting pulled over by one officer in Indiana and 10 minutes later following too close and getting pulled over again. An aggressive driver is an arrogant driver.

No. And I don't think Adam is giving interviews.

Do you think it has relevance to the crimes BK is accused of? And if so, why?

That particular recording for that short CCTV video led to weeks and pages and pages of speculations even accusations and pointing fingers at the wrong person all of which were incorrect . I think it would nice to hear that it was actually just some cute college kid love life gossip or something else silly, which Im assuming it was.
There is so many wonderful stories about how close this group of friends were one more lil antidote of that bond would be nice and to also remind to people that its speculation was for nothing...
MOO IMO

It's sad his son put the whole family in this situation.
It's sad. The whole thing is sad. I have gone through a flood of feelings while following these cases. These feelings ebb and flow, mesh together, fade and re-emerge.
  • Horror: The unspeakable horror of it all. Ghastly.
  • Grief: Four young, promising lives cut short, no graduations, no children, no careers, no retirement. Four families left behind.
  • Mystery: Who did it? Why? How? How did they get away with it so long?
  • Desire for justice: Find the killer. Hold him responsible. Make him pay.
  • Anger: How dare he??? What kind of disgusting scuzbag does something like this?
  • Sadness: Terrible sadness. At the end of the day, after passing through all these other feelings, all that's left is sadness.
The other things should fade in time. But the terrible sadness will remain.

WSU students: Kohberger spoke up in class — except when Moscow killings were the topic

During class, Kohberger, 28, appeared academic minded and didn’t shy away from speaking up, including challenging his classmates, said Roberts, and another master’s degree student who the Statesman granted anonymity to answer emailed questions.

Kohberger’s enthusiasm for his area of study — understanding the criminal mind — was regularly on display, they said.

“Bryan only talked about his interest in forensic psychology,” the master’s student told the Statesman. “He was an incredibly strong student and talked during class every time.”

“He sat front and center, and was not hiding or tucking back in the back,” Roberts added. “He was right there in the middle of it.”

As a result, Kohberger’s non-participation in a lengthy conversation about the Moscow homicides stands out in retrospect, said the master’s student. The person said they had four classes with the man now sitting in the Latah County Jail, including a courts and legal process class where the killings were discussed before the semester ended the week of Dec. 12.

“He was completely silent,” Kohberger’s classmate said.
It's interesting that he didn't try to float a theory that would lead away from him. That's what the poster, later accused of being BK, did on fb. IIRC, he blamed the murders on fraternity boys.

Yep. BK's parents have basically also lost a child now, but in stark contrast to the victim's parents they will not be shown much empathy.
I think they should be treated with respect. But I don't share the idea that they have "lost a child", like he died of some dread disease. And I sure don't lament the fact that they won't be shown as much empathy as the families of the victims he slashed and murdered. I will not criticize them as long as they don't take the victim bashing path the parents of Chris Watts have taken and apparently relish.

<modsnip: off topic>

He couldn't say anything in class because he wasn't anonymous.

If BK was posting fraternity boys theories on Facebook, he did so under an assumed anonymous name.

Any thoughts on why he used his own car on the night of the murders?

Given that many homes have cameras, using his own car seems to indicate a remarkable lack of forethought and planning. If he planned all of this carefully, I'm puzzled as to how he decided to use his own car.

Look at how so many on this thread were distracted for weeks about the mention of this name? As you said, outright accusations. Don't you think a jury could be just as easily interested and distracted by that very short comment? I don't think we have heard the last of "what did you tell A___?" "I told him everything."
