hey there folks, here's that same link, I posted this a few days ago and asked a question related to what was said hoping that sleuths here would be the best chance to investigate...
my question was did the WiFi connect 12 times like they suggest ?
or is that BS ?
the way they present this makes it as if this 12 times is correct but suspect it is sensationalising by this news channel .
have asked the same question on some different sites, YouTube videos, nobody has addressed this and I am waiting for everyone to catch up! thought that websleuths would be able to discuss this and find the answer ! I'm pretty sure that it wasn't 12 times because there's been no more news about it since..

I'll try to tackle this for you.
There are 2 separate issues there, kind of mixed together - cell tower pings and wifi connections.

AFAIK, it has never been stated, by SG or anyone, that BK's cell phone ever connected to the wifi at 1122 King Road.

In the PCA it is stated that BK's phone was utilizing cellular resources that provide coverage to the area of 1122 King Road on at least twelve occasions prior to November 13, 2022.

Call that 12 pings, if you like.

In an interview when commenting on these 12 pings, SG says "and close enough that his phone was touching their wifi".

When I am out and about, my cell phone automatically tries to connect to any nearby wifi. I assume it's a setting you can turn off. When it identifies a nearby wifi signal, it takes note of it in case I want to connect to it. This is "touching".

Take note that I would have to have the password etc to actually connect to a nearby wifi signal, and I assume that BK did not have the password for the router at 1122 King Road. And I doubt he would use it to connect even if he did have it if he had nefarious intentions.

Anyway, it is possible that the router at 1122 King Road kept a log of the various cell phones that were within range and touched it. Undoubtedly LE took the router to examine it for such logs. This may be why the monitor at the crime scene for weeks had this monitor display:

This is exactly where I am right now. This just doesn’t make sense, logistically. For him to do this in the short period of time, they would have had to have been lined up waiting for him and just let it happen. Since this is not what happened, the only thing that makes sense is BK had a friend or two with him. Just keep thinking he‘s part of some group that fantasizes about this or even did this as a team event. That, or BK was the driver for them. I know we only have a tiny fraction of the information, so maybe once more comes out, it will make sense? For now, I just don’t see how it’s possible.

This post from thread #59 allowed me to realize BK lived with hell in his head although BK also complained of additional medical conditions including migraines in those posts; he felt the visual snow was his entire problem, at that point in his life. Were these thoughts posted during the heroin years? Drugs and alcohol make the effects stronger or more frequent, I presume?

My 20 yo son has suffered from visual snow (the focus of that message board that the postings are from) and the resulting depersonalization for over 2 years now. It is hell. He has experienced many of the things in that are listed in what you can see in the video screenshot as a result of the visual snow--depression, SI, feeling a disconnect from emotions or wondering if his emotions are "real", sped up or slowed down perception of time, anxiety, poor self esteem, wondering if he's losing his mind. Visual snow has so much still unknown about it and the recommended treatments/meds are few and are just kinda guessed at by doctors. He's been to eye doctors, neuro ophthalmologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and had an MRI as well as neuropsych testing, blood work, etc. No medication, eyewear, or therapy has really worked much. At this point, he has grown so accustomed after 2 years of obsessing over it, that he has actually gotten used to it and doesn't register it as much. Luckily that has helped reduce the depersonalization and SI. He had to drop out of high school because it made him unable to function in that environment (despite being an honors student) and finally just took and passed his GEDs last week. In the early days, he tried coping by self medicating with marijuana and alcohol (which only made it worse). It has been a horrible, hard time for him and that was even with him living with us, telling us what was going on while it was going on, and having tons of medical/mental healthcare professionals involved. If this is BK, and he started developing afterimages at AGE NINE as one of those messages says, I can't imagine the damage Visual Snow caused to his mental health during his preteen and teen years. My son barely survived two plus years of it, much less over 10 years.

I hope some smarter people can help me out. Not relevant in the murder itself, but might be in regards to stalking.

If the killer was good with computers, he could have stalked any one of his victims remotely. In this case, the stalker can read your emails, texts, apps, and social media, even responding as you, without ever having physically met you or touched your computer. If your devices are connected, he’ll have access to the whole system. Cyber stalkers usually gain access through Remote Access Trojans, which are hard to detect.
Someone else posted a link to a great podcast on the last thread in which an attorney was saying it’s more than a coincidence that Door Dash and the murderer showed up at the same time. Cyberstalking would explain the timing.

A few people mentioned that K was no longer living at this address, she was visiting to show her friends her new car. This is what was said a few pages ago. Did K post about these plans on social media? Where are we getting this information from?

It's possible BK saw that she would be returning to the house that night, did not know where she had moved to, and decided to use this as his chance to kill her. This is assuming M or X were not the targets. The viciousness of the wounds on K, where is Howard Blum finding this detail? It's frustrating when there are no sources linked.

Howard calls D's reaction inexplicable. There are many reasons why people don't want to have the police come into their personal space if it is not absolutely necessary. Maybe this was one of those instances. I suppose whoever D called will be on the stand & we'll hear what she said to them. The smell of the blood, there must have been blood on the doors, walls, floor, somewhere...the fact the the dog was locked in a room and probably relieved itself, the smell of that...all of it. I'm glad someone finally called the police.

It seems strange to me that Howard, who writes in such a colorful fictionalized way, doesn’t have the imagination to understand D’s reaction—there are many reasonable explanations.

There's been lots of conjecture about BK saying something like that when he was arrested, and what it might mean (here on WS as well in previous threads), IMO, but it has not been verified by LE.

This is what Moscow PD, in charge of the investigation & this case, has stated about the possibility of other people being involved in the murders of Xana, Ethan, Maddie & Kaylee:

They found the DNA on the sheath. Not in CODIS, started a familial DNA search and many relatives of BK had contributed and it led to the parents and BK.

they would have had no reason on earth not to run it on the many shadow dna databases or codis combined with genealogical data (birth, death, marriage, census, etc) FBI runs alongside CODIS. Enormous amounts of ancestry data are collected and sold by private firms as well.
The issue the Slate expert reporter is bringing up is a sensitivity to this being publicized more than necessary.

Very possible given a 10 MIN time frame. Keep in mind...most victims (at least two M and K) were probably asleep or in bed . The only exception could have been X. I suggest you take a stopwatch and count down for 10 minutes. It's ETERNITY when you simultaneously visualize the killer (6ft 185lbs) literally JUMPING on top of the unsuspecting/sleeping victims armed with a knife designed to kill. MOO

I agree. after first major stab the victim would already lost the ability to cry and fight. Once the lung is stabbed using such a knife the victim lost the ability to speak. 10-16minutes span is totally possible.

Ok here goes. First impressions from the arrest affidavit:
1. Killings only took place in two bedrooms: 3rd floor bedroom, two roommates were in the same bed; 2nd floor bedroom had roommate and boyfriend. Maybe only planned to kill 2 people?

2. DM’s bedroom was on 2nd floor, and she encountered the killer face to face. She’s very lucky to be alive.

3. BF’s bedroom was on 1st floor and she perhaps slept through the attacks.

4. When DM heard Gonclaves playing with her dog at 4:00, it was probably while Gonclaves and Mogen were being attacked. They were likely killed while they slept, as no screams or cries were heard.

5. kernodle received a door dash at 4:00 and was on TikTok until 4:12 - the killer might have already started the attacks on Goncalves and Mogen when Kernoble picked up her door dash meal. Creepy! Kernoble was certainly awake when she was attacked; her boyfriend could have been awake or asleep. Alternatively, the attacks could have started just after door dash, and DM’s timing of events was a few minutes off.

6. When DM heard roommate say “someone is here” - my guess is it was Kernodle, who was trying to alert her boyfriend. Killer had already killed Goncalves and Mogen and had just entered Kernodle’s bedroom. First time DM opened her door.

7. When DM heard cries from Kernodle’s room, she opened door for 2nd time. Attack of Kernodle and Chaplin was in progress.

8. After hearing Kernodle crying and male voice saying “I’m going to help you” she opened door a third time and saw killer - he was apparently just coming out of Kernoble’s room, having just killed Kernoble and Chaplin. Maybe he was too exhausted to continue killing remaining roommates?

9. Police did a fantastic job tracking down the suspect vehicle and the suspect and matching his DNA. Nothing really to add.

10. Killer cased the house several times in the weeks before the murders and visited the crime scene the next morning. I do not believe killer had any connection to victims other than he selected them as targets.

11. IMO. The only motive here is thrill kill and to try to get away with a mass murder. I think these were his first murders, but he’s likely been fantasizing about it for years.

12. I think he’ll be convicted pretty easily and given the death penalty.

I’ll write more if I think of anything else. Just my thoughts on the affidavit.

There is zero evidence he hunted. And it would not be what he needed to be successful with that knife the way he used it. We have already had two of the jacks had pictures of them hunting as some kind of implication.

While some overlap, Cyberstalking is the using the internet or other technologies to stalk a person (sending them unwanted emails, texts, following/posting unwanted items on social media, etc.). Fairly easy to do especially given the social media presence of many people and access freely provided.

Reading ones emails, texts, keyloggers, vehicle tracking, etc. which can fall under cyberstalking might better be thought of as cyberspying, and is not nearly as easily accomplished. Many employers do this legally especially if using equipment they supply, as does the govt. (ymmv)

Looks like others helped, I see a floor plan since I left. The thing that helped me in floor plans because I've seen them from both the front and the back of the house is

K's room and kitchen are on the back east side. Facing back yard.

M's room over DM's are on the back west side. Facing back yard.

X's room and living room are over the bedrooms on the bottom floor. Facing driveway.
