How did he find the house?
Sounds like most people in the community knew about the "party house." JMO.

Maybe.
MOO to me that is stranger than an obsessing on an individual, but would fit a he is Papa Roger or similar scenario, PR is the referred ER who attacked Alpha Pi in California.
Thank you for that reminderI think that's all true of middle-class suburbanites. But my friend who is a federal appeals PD still has plenty of innocent clients. They usually live in poor neighborhoods and travel on foot, bike or skateboard; they and their neighbors don't have all the gadgets that people with more money have. And they are more likely to have been overcharged in their original trial, one reason for their appeals.
In the current case, of course, BK and the Idaho 4 are all middle-class suburbanites, so your post is right on point. I'm only posting here to remind us (myself included) that there is more than one way to live in the USA.

MOO.If he was hanging out on the UI campus as has been speculated, very good chance he heard about the house, IMO. He may have even showed up for one of their parties. MOO.
When I was in undergrad and lived on campus a 28 year old grad student was temporarily house in the dorm room next to us. He mind as well have been 500 years old in our eyes. I couldn’t imagine being OK with him coming to a frat house or 18+ bar with us.If he was hanging out on the UI campus as has been speculated, very good chance he heard about the house, IMO. So they had a knife hanging around the house that he fooled with at a party?

Similarly, when we moved off campus we had a few phd student neighbors. Right around the same age as Bryan. Again, looking back now they were young…but we saw them as olllllldddddddddd.
Since I was at a big D1 sports school alumni weekend was filled with people of all age ranges. I’d never see any at house parties or at the frat (we had a frat row party street lined with 12 houses with connected lawns).
Ageism is a thing in college. I used to think Bryan had partied there but the more I think about it the more I doubt it.
I know the defense will push on the two survivors about this point. Asking them if personally knew every person that’s been there. If parties were ever thrown without their presence. Etc etc.
I agree. And one reason the house was idea is that it housed young women he could attack.
And yet we know that a 30-year old neighbor went to at least one of the open parties, the chef who lived in an apartment building close by. He was in the news early on after the murders, and talked about how he just showed up at one of the large parties. So it is possible that BK did the same thing and just wandered in to one of the large party events and got to know the house layout that way. When I was in undergrad and lived on campus a 28 year old grad student was temporarily house in the dorm room next to us. If the house was as has been portrayed and speculated about (i.e. a party house, where sometimes, even most of the residents weren't home during a party), I imagine people were coming and going. This happened at a few college parties back in my day. Older people would show up, no one really talked to them and they left. Looking back, it's very creepy because what were they doing there? I imagine if BK did go to one of their parties, he probably walked around awkwardly for a few minutes and then left or kept to himself and just observed. I doubt he actually "partied." My point is, it's a way into the house, especially with people coming and going. MOO.
MOO.
Why would he need to go inside to learn the layout? Every real estate site had crystal clear pictures of the inside of the house up. Every room and hallway. One even had a 3D click through. And yet we know that a 30-year old neighbor went to at least one of the open parties, the chef who lived in an apartment building close by. I’ll just agree to disagree with the “BK went there alone and partied” folks. Which goes against pretty much everything we’ve heard about the guy so far.
But I get it. June is a ways off and everyone is bored.
Edit: also I remember seeing interviews with that neighbor. His outgoing personality says “ I walk into parties uninvited “. Nothing about BK says that.
Edit 2:
University of Idaho Off-Campus Housing | College Pads
With over 27 apartments and houses available to rent near University of Idaho, finding Moscow rentals has never been easier than on College Pads!www.rentcollegepads.com
These pictures were on every single real estate site that utilizes MLS (Zillow, Redfin, etc) Which is 99% of them.
Most of the bigger sites have taken down the pictures. And RentCollegePads is keeping the listing up for the sweet SEO traffic but not letting you click through.
But here goes a picture from the real estate listing and a crystal clear shot of the sliding door
I don't equate a murder done in the dark, in the middle of the night with the victims sleeping, to a fight. And after thinking about that (and all the convos about the definition of a coward) I'm leaning more toward sneaky and underhanded. He stalked, snuck in, and hit in the wee hours (when most people sleeping). At least in a fight you have a chance. Well, unless you're up against someone armed and you're not. So I'll change that to At least if you're in a FAIR fight you have a chance. Four people had no chance. How typical of cowards to attack from the shadows,
stab/shoot the unsuspecting victim in the back!
But never fight with honour - face to face.

Cool. Again, agree to disagree. I'm an occam's razor kind of person so as soon as things devolve into "if, likely, maybe, could, supposedly" and there's more than 5 of them...I'm checking out. Most of us have seen the real estate images and video, very early on in this case. But attending a party at the victims' home could also explain why BK's DNA is in the home, if found in the house in other location than the knife sheath.
BK wouldn't have needed to stay very long, or interact much if he entered the home during a party. We're not talking here about him being the life of the party. The party would also likely have spilled outdoors in the patio area, and a person could just wander through the house supposedly looking for the rest room, and learn a lot about the house first hand.
Yet it takes him over half an hour to park his car. I guess he didn't want to park illegally...Yes, 12 times
David Berkowitz got caught because of a parking ticket. BK didn't want the same. LOLYet it takes him over half an hour to park his car. I guess he didn't want to park illegally.
Which reminds me, when the case first broke, several members made maps and diagrams and most agreed that he probably parked in the lot directly behind the house. A perfect place to spy on the occupants.
