This is all MOO, but it seems to me that stabbings of that nature would probably be messy affairs and that the killer would naturally get some blood on him--from each victim--and probably deposit some of the previous victims' blood on the subsequent victims.

But, the coroner said they could not tell which students were killed in what order. Does that mean they didn't test the blood on the various victims' bodies? Or, does it mean the killer was able to stab them all without spreading any blood around?

I would think (but, I'm no forensic pathologist) that killing them one after the other like that would result in some blood being passed around.

Am I way off?

Maybe he stabbed them multiple times after initial kill? Gruesome to think that all of their blood may be on all of them. Gives me chills in fact.

They most likely will try any legal route. Who would not if facing death penalty?

How to distinguish what was work related and what was not?

I guess, one of the things LE will do is to focus on his activities and potential on-line stalking of victims predominantely before the killings, when any hint of obsession with victims or preparations to kill will not be explained easily as work related.

Going back to the survey. Lets say it was approved, although I will be suprised if it went through proper approval scrutiny.

But lets say it was approved. It still raises questions such as: What happened with its results? Were those results somehow reported, included in reserach observations, works, publications, plans for dissertation?

It seems to me, he started planning to kill when he published the survey. The survey was published whilst he was a student at PA, but was just about to finish his education there. If this survey was approved by someone from that college, presumambly related to research in that college, why he did not take it off once he departed from that college?

Then he started work and study at Pullman. Did he informed WSU that he published that survey and the survey is still active, as he is their student and empoyee now? Did they approve the survey? Were they planning to use its results in their research?

There are ways to find out what was really work related and what was related to his 'little hobbies', especiallly now when LE is confident they know what KB hobbies are. It may require involvement and cooperation with both educational institutions, but is not an impossible task.

I have two friends that I talked to about this case and we live nowhere near Idaho or Pennsylvania. The first one is following all the details and the second one had no idea what I was talking about.

I watch left leaning NBC news in the morning and right in the evenings (Fox). This story has been a lead story on both!

I just cannot believe that his parents knew nothing about a quadruple murder and a serial killer on the loose 9 miles from their son’s apartment. Even if they watched no news, mom was a substitute teacher, and you would think people who knew her or her family might talk about this case at work.

And dad worked in Hvac, so presumably he had coworkers also.

Friend of suspect murderer claims podcast caller IS Bryan Kohberger

The revelation from Casey Arntz (right) - who grew up and attended high school with Bryan Kohberger in - came a day after the teaching assistant's arrest rocked the world Friday.

The man accused of the horrific slayings of four University of Idaho students called a podcast covering the murders as cops searched for him, a friend of the alleged killer believes.

The revelation from Casey Arntz - who grew up and attended high school with suspect Bryan Kohberger in Pennsylvania - came a day after the teaching assistant's arrest rocked the world, and after a more than monthlong search by police.

Taking to TikTok to address a clip from a podcast discussing the November Idaho murders that has gone viral online, Arntz stated that she recognized the voice of the caller in the clip as Kohberger's, after the audio sent the internet into a furor.

A close relative is a LEO and has often escorted prisoners on a plane from one state to another
 
I know it's probably insignificant, but I'm irked by the multiple MSM reports (the ones I've seen were from CNN) quoting LaBar as saying BK's dad flew out "to Idaho" and the two of them drove "from Idaho" back to Pennsylvania.

BK lived in Washington, not Idaho. Of course Pullman is very close to the border, and the crimes were committed in Idaho, so this is an understandable goof and it could have been a CNN journalist's mistake just as easily as a LaBar mistake, but in an important legal case all details matter, so, argh. MOO

I agree about LE .....it was so good that it almost resembled a bumbling Mayberry type of investigation. Chief Fry is definitely in the running for an Oscar. His on set demeanour was perfectly orchestrated with a two fold goal: get as many of the public to send in tips to assist and to get BK to assume he is as smart as he thinks he is. On the flip side.."Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner".as per the quote from Robert De Niro's character in the movie Heat . Whether BK took that to heart and extended the 30 seconds depends entirely on what will come out in the near future.

The students tend to drive home, even when home is very far away. Sometimes they are driving a friend home with them to spend the holidays. Sometimes they are taking stuff home and will come back loaded up with other stuff (for their dorms or apts). JMO. Even with gas high, they still like to drive home for some reason.

It's different, though, in graduate student housing on a campus, if the campus has university housing. Although some grad students go home for holidays, many don't, since many have families of their own while in grad school, young children, etc. or they just live too far away, can't afford it, or have work to do during the break. That has been my experience.
 
I think his father flying out to accompany Bryan on a lengthy, multiple day road trip back to PA is very normal. People do this for safety reasons. For all we know, Bryan could have acted completely normal on the drive back home. People are not mind-readers. JMO.

That’s not how forensic evidence works
It would be DNA collected from a location that could only have come from the killer during the act of murder
For example-
  • DNA from a male, not Ethan, in blood on the bloody clothing of any of the victims
  • A fingerprint in the blood of BCK in the house where the murders took place
None of this type of evidence could be explained away
My guess is addition to DNA PD also has digital cell, social media evidence
I also think they will find DNA/ blood evidence in his car
And they will find evidence in his apartment, and maybe in his parents’ home

Where would the nearest airport be to Pullman for a long-haul flight? Could it be in Idaho? I'm in Europe and I have no idea, which is why I'm asking.

Does anyone have more info on Kaylee’s injuries? I know they said more brutal but I’m wondering for example if she had injuries in the genital region and no others did. If so that could show she was the target. MOO

Does anyone else find BRIAN CHRISTOPHER LAUNDRIE and BRYAN CHRISTOPHER KOHBERGER a bit strange?
Just odd that I find myself following two high-profile cases within the year with the same first and middle names. Is it a common combo?
Don't worry I'm NOT implying a conspiracy just odd that is all.
