I just watched the video of PI Vilt (Milt Vilt?) discussing possible abduction. During the reenactment they had local SO on scene. Wasn't it the same LEO that insisted no abduction took place?

I'm wondering if local LEO are rethinking their decisions.

I grew up near this area - I listened again to the comment and I felt he did use a double negative. It is not uncommon - but I think he was a bit nervous. I don't think it's a freudian slip, more a hometown sort of usage. (JMO)

Another article credited to the same reporter, Luke Jones, he also refers to "morning" in this one:

"Kunz's mother recalls seeing the man at a store in Leadore the morning of her son's disappearance."

http://www.localnews8.com/news/new-leads-in-missing-deorr-kunz-case/35276162

Maybe he doesn't realize the sensitivity of the timeline for that day, if this is an error I hope it is corrected imo.

That's from the same article and that IS when they went to the store and saw the man staring at little Deorr - in the morning.

I'm pretty sure they are two different articles:

"Vilt said Kunz's parents left him with his grandfather the morning of his disappearance while they went to scout fishing locations."

Sorry, I mean to also say that "the morning of her son's disappearance" implies that he disappeared in the morning. IMO.

No, that's not what it implies. It implies she saw the man staring the morning "of" her son's disappearance. That is to say . . . . The morning of (the day) of her son's disappearance.

There may be more than one article but the article I read had both statements within the same article.

In your opinion of course :). The quote does not say the day of her son's disappearance, it says the morning of. This would mean that it is implied that her son disappeared that morning. However, I can see how some might it interpret it the way you did, and perhaps the author meant it that way as well. We can't know for sure unless he tells us though.

Question. How were you able to add the last paragraph to your post after you had previously posted it without it showing that it had been edited? Just wondering since I've noticed the same thing when some others do the same. NOT being critical at ALL - just curious.

You have a very brief window to edit without the post appearing "edited". I can't remember the exact length of time right now, 3-5 minutes.

You might what to check that out with an English teacher. It's a rule of grammar. Oh, IMO

You're right, the one article did contain both quotes, but the point was that two different articles contained a reference to "morning."

It's a nonissue anyways as the word "morning" was used erroneously per Luke Jones himself, the article has now been updated with the correction:

And this is a direct quote from the P.I. back in August. BBM

“When [the family] went into town the morning after they arrived, they picked a few groceries up and bought some French fries for DeOrr Jr.,” Vilt said. “There was a man who was staring at DeOrr and this made Jessica feel kind of eerie. I’m looking into it.”

Oh, thanks so much Bessie. I guess I never edit quickly enough, LOL. My iPad is old and moves v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. Or maybe I've just described myself, hehe.

Actually, I think that this one is correct -- they were in town in the morning, DeOrr had fries, and they got back early in the afternoon.

That works with what we know!
