I remember that video... I found it so odd how JM kept averting her eyes throughout the entire interview. It was throwing off the reporter as well-- I know at one point he looked over his shoulder, presumably to see what she kept staring at.

I agree but none of this is making too much sense,,,sorry:(

Sorry...my brain was going off in tangents....Just a new idea that popped into my head.....that somebody else planted the seed for.

I rewatched and saw that too. I didn't hear a ring, so it was probably on vibrate. But if you had a missing child wouldn't you check it ASAP?

While watching I was also reminded of something we discussed here in the beginning, but I don't know if it was ever mentioned later. At about the 5:50 mark a reporter asks them something like "Have you told them about the "EMT bag" "That needs to be addressed".

Sorry I'm out of the loop, but did anything ever come of that?

After watching it again (for the ?th time) I think the black truck bawling boy might just be a rumour. Things get twisted. They were there at 1pm turns into something that makes them look guilty - it was after they said he'd gone missing - and like bad parents - he was dirty and crying, they were buying him candy. It's like third hand gossip.

Just a thought.

IMO it wasn't a reporter that wanted to address the EMT bag. Someone was sitting over there trying to get Jessica's attention, she kept looking over at them. At the 3:44 mark she lifts her finger at them as if to say just a minute. IMO her mother was there with them, or someone she knew, not a reporter.
Just to throw this out there, I've noticed when this reporter has done other interviews, the camera man has asked questions and been involved in the interview, so it's possible (and was my assumption later, after the other interviews) that was what was going on there. If you see his interview with Sherriff Bowerman, for example, he gets right in on the conversation a few times. Moo.

We don't know for 100% that IR saw DeOrr at the campsite, even if he was shown a picture later on. Remember how much the toddler boy in California looked like him?
I'm not thinking DeOrr was at the campground at all. And that maybe another boy was brought along. <modsnip>, so we know it's possible to have gotten the toddler out of there. (NOT pointing fingers at her)
So there would be no switching DeOrr at the campsite for another boy; only having a little toddler with them to prove one was there so IR would say he was, and I do think it's possible IR may not be very clear on a lot of things.
LE is looking for something. Since the timeline was wrong from the beginning and in my opinion the parents didn't try to correct it, I don't think they were really looking for anyone, including their son.
We all know something is very wrong in this case and I am only looking at it from a rather odd angle.
Which is probably not helping.

you're probably forgetting that he was "over there" (really ?!? WTH info is that)

But if you are watching a 2 yr old that goes missing, saying he was last seen 'in the campground' is not very specific.

I know vDK did not want to talk at first about the sighting of the bawling filthy little boy looking so much like DeOrr (supposedly) in the black truck.

What about the hour IR was not accounted for, after Deorr's disappearance? It seems odd to report that, because I think it's reasonable to presume that Isaac was searching, and surely they would have split up...

Where was that reported?

The clerk never said it though... The clerk didn't even remember for sure if a kid.been in there or not. You mean maybe someone else made it up?

Plus, why were they so quick to say it was just Vernal with DeOrr? Why weren't they all excited thinking it must have been a sighting of DeOrr with his abductor?

Yes, I mean someone else made it up. Maybe the person got one or two details. When did DK go back to talk to the clerk? Maybe that was when it got started.

I can see it happening because some people are mean.

The other thing is we only heard about the story from them... did they maybe only hear it from one source? AFAIK it wasn't a rumour that got out of control and spread around. I also never saw anyone anywhere mention his employer not being supportive or whatever that story was.

I found another doozy from VDK's attorney Browning. He's implying that the parents refused the reward because they couldn't afford $20000. We know Vilt was the one who offered up the reward. How many doozies has Browning offered now> VDK searching 10 days straight> VDK searching inside bear dens> and now the reward misinformation.

"However, Kunz Sr.’s attorney, Allen Browning of Idaho Falls, said that in instances where an investigator wants to issue a large reward without the client’s consent, there can be some outrage because the cost of the reward can end up being paid out by the entirely by clients.

“If you are going to advertise a large reward like that, you want to make sure your client can handle that,” Browning said."

FV: I’m offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the location and recovery of the little boy.

Do you know who reported it? The only place I read anything like this was on SM.

I may be totally reading things backwards, but from the questions to Klein article:

Eaton:
Lisa Marie says, “Is it true that Isaac disappeared for over an hour after DeOrr disappeared or is this just another rumor?”

Klein: Again, that goes into the actual investigative issues that we are investigating. We’re not wiling to discuss that at this time but I would classify that probably as not a rumor.

Hang on, I'll go search.

Bowerman also noted that Kunz Sr. and Mitchell were given multiple polygraph tests over the course of the investigation. Though the results came back as inconclusive, the sheriff said that the parents consistently failed on the questions asking whether they knew anything about DeOrr’s disappearance and whether they knew where DeOrr was located.

“One of the FBI’s top polygraph experts told us, ‘these folks are not being truthful,’” Bowerman said.

I think this is the only time I have seen where Bowerman used the word "consistent" with regard to the "parents" - bring this baby home already :(

I was listening to this again and my husband was in the room, too. He looked up from his magazine he was reading and said She sure doesn't sound excited about it.
So true!
http://www.eastidahonews.com/2015/0...-released-my-2-year-old-son-we-cant-find-him/

I've had a child missing for a few minutes one time from my back yard. I did a quick scan and was on the phone to dispatch asking them to come quickly. I was so scared as to what had happened to him. I ended up screaming at the dispatcher to hurry up! I was young and didn't even have any idea what all could really happen.

I fell off the fence recently and these thoughts are running through my mind:

1. I think Deorr is in the water. Snake River or wherever, but just feel strongly he's probably in the water.
2. V.D.K. was saying something like he didn't think Deorr was at the campground and others saying that he was trying to detour them from looking farther there. I keep thinking maybe he's being truthful about that. Like he knows for certain Deorr isn't at the campsite.
