Also, I truly hope SB comes through a verifies he's on the same page. As much as I'd love to believe Klein, I still think there is a slight possibility he's blowing hot air in hopes of spooking out the truth.

<modsnip>

I doubt they'll be very specific about where they are searching just due to the possibility of the public going in to search ahead of time.

What about the parents going in to move a body? I hope the fbi have them under surveillance. I doubt LE appreciates Klein releasing this information about a new search of a specific area.

I wanted to keep these two time references together.

In Tricia's Interview dated Jan. 28th (media page 4)

30:58
Bessie: Well, Sheriff, we’d just like to know, are there plans for any further searches?

31:03
SB: You know absolutely. Right now the National Association for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) have expressed an interest in coming back up with dogs so we’re entertaining that. Recently we were in on snowmobiles. There’s 4-6 feet of snow in there so right now, of course, that’s not possible. Basically, we’re just asking anybody that has firsthand knowledge of conversations that they either overheard or observed—some sort of dialogue between the parents and the infant that seemed unusual, please contact us with the information.

BBM this has nagged at me, what caused them to go out there in that amount of snow? I surmised perhaps pings perhaps from the FBI report & SB also indicated some inform. are still being worked on. But, wait could IR given some information, that made them want to go up there even in that snow? IDK, what could they find?

Another, thought that has always niggled me is in SB's lst sentence..."so we're entertaining that thought." Is he saying entertaining as he doesn't feel it will be necessary??? I hope!

Not sure why they would go with that much snow looking for a body from July or expecting to find one, BUT what if they got a tip or perhaps IR informed them the parents had mentioned recently going back to move the body etc?? They could have been looking for tracks, footprints, or other types of disturbance to the snow. Jmo

SB did mention having been up to the site recently didn't he? Things that make you go hmmm.

That mention of the trip SB took up on snowmobiles got me thinking. I'd bet my last dollar that they either placed or checked up on existing hunting cameras that were monitoring the area. If they caught someone on camera going up on a snow machine & digging around or removing something, well, that's pretty damning. Especially if they can corroborate a witness story with physical evidence. I think Kleins referrals to the mountain/campground/Leador are fairly interchangeable. The campground is on the mountain, and the nearest named place is Leador. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares, ya follow? In the interview tonight he specified the lower part of the campground at Leador. I don't know how he could've phrased is more clearly.

I am familiar with those terms, being in Latin makes them sound complex but they are relatively simple concepts. You have to mean or intend to commit a crime for mens rea and you have to have physically committed a crime for actus rea. It is hard to prove murder as it should be because that's a heavy charge.

Who knows what evidence they might have but for the sake of discussion lets say they can't prove murder. Perhaps involuntary manslaughter, I am very positive there are multiple lesser charges that will be piled on. There is obstruction, interfering/impeding law enforcement, tampering with a scene, lying to investigators, possible fraud with their taking money from the public. I'm not a prosecutor but I have to think even if this is some form of "accidental" death they are going to come at the guilty parties with a whole host of additional charges. You can't play peek-a-boo with the cops and FBI for 7 months and expect them to let that slide.
Exactly! It will be up to the State to prove there was a murder, that there was intent, and there was willingness or ability to carry out the act.

The degrees used in Idaho Code are more about whether a crime qualifies for a potential death sentence.

Also Rumor .

I don't think Klein would chance blowing the whole investigation just to stir the pot. He seems like he couldn't give less of a care about anything aside from finding the baby. He also said that his office was following the Lead investigators at Lemhi, Bonneville & FBI. I just don't think he is stupid enough to go rogue at this point. Im sure there are charges he would face as an individual compromising the investigation & I doubt the fbi would be standing around silent if he were off the reservation in his statement. There would be a statement out by now to address it I believe.

Any time a person is charged for murder without a body; The state never says a possible accident could have occurred. A possible accident is up to the defense to mention if they choose to. But without an accidental manner of death then the prosecution could only seek for murder charges or nothing at all unless the body surfaces.

This case is not that simple. Jmo. Especially if LE thinks it was an accident that was covered up but still seek murder charges. The jury needs to know which one LE can prove. Which is none at this moment. Jmo.

I think Klein is definitely working with Idaho & the FBI - otherwise, he wouldn't be doing this - he is getting alot of notoriety from it. I can't imagine the costs he has endured and will continue to endure. Also, it will be thawed around the 3rd week in March in Leadore so I expect we will have some news. In my opinion, IR blew this case wide open once LE assured him he was safe. I have always expected the parents to come out with the truth before his body is found to avoid worse charges.

From TxJan1973's most awesome transcript:

"We do not want to give that location out at this time but we will be bringing in specialized dogs from Georgia into a certain area of the lower part of the campground."

Any map pros have a map handy for the area he's describing? tia

I do not think Klein is doing this for baby Deorr at all. He is doing media interviews like he is the sheriff himself. Tim Miller would never do that to a family even if he did feel that they wasted his time and allocated funds that could have went to help with other cases. Jmo

I don't see why a private investigator was even hired by them, since all of this took place in a secluded campsite (100s of miles away ).

Who did the family expect him to investigate out there. Just curious?

I wonder if he could be referring to SGSAR... I grew up in GA, and heard about their rescue/cadaver dog team all the time. They have an amazing reputation.

FWIW, if you go to Klein's FB page, on the right side, scroll down until you see a February 15, 2016, 3:58 p.m. post where he thanks a "team from Georgia" who were successful in assisting him with the Molly Miller Case. They are with K9 Search and Rescue Specialists in Georgia (see link for more info. (There is another post directly below that one showing photos of what they found, etc.)

<modsnip>I personally doubt she is someone capable of feelings or normal emotion, so I won't waste my time waiting for her to feel guilty enough to confess. Out of everyone in the family, my feelings are that VDK mom is most likely to get to VDK to prompt a confession. JM is cold as the ground her baby is in & GGP is a fall guy.

I just had a thought what if the bawling baby was VDK and DeOrr, and he had actually taken a hurt DeOrr to get help, but something or someone stopped him, that's why he looks mad and hurt in the videos.

What in god's name happened to DeOrr that the adults that were with him wouldn't get him help.

I've also been wondering if SB is encouraging Klein in not so many words to release certain information in order to make people nervous, nervous people tend to make mistakes.

As always praying for justice for DeOrr, you deserved so much better little man
